I think overall I was disaponted with hotel, Not the facilities as such more the overall atmosphere and attitude of staff. They were super friendly but it felt all about getting tips, having stayed at diamond cliff twice ten years ago and then spending many holidays in between in another part of thailand. It felt like phuket had changed for the worse and the hotel along with it. There were never any sun loungers available despite lots being empty with just a towel over tthem, with the people never making appearance, they were tipping the staff to keep beds for them. I tried contacting management a few times as there was another area that was in full sun that always had beds but no umbrellas, so three days running I asked if there were any spare umbrellas that could be used, I was reassured there was and they would be brought over, but they never materialised. We then left and went back to Hua Hin and it was a relief to be back there I couldnt really fault the facilities of the hotel just the feeling of the place and phuket in general.

The hotel is north of Phuket, a little bit of a walk, but worth it as you are not in the noise hustle and bustle ad close to the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have a room near the breakfast area/pool and reception; I did notice that some rooms were up the hill, but the hotel had a shuttle that brought people up and down from there.

The hotel is located at the north end of Phuket and it is a good 40 minute walk downtown. The advantage of this location is that it is quieter but still close to the beach and some nice restaurants. The hotel offers a free shuttle service a few times a day to Phuket centre (you need to come back by your own means) in an airconed van. You need to book as it gets fully booked quite often.

The room was comfortable but a bit dated, specially the bathroom. The cleaning was not very deep and switches and corners were showing quite some dust. The resort offers two pools which are quite nice, unfortunately they close quite early (around 6 or 7 pm I seem to remember) which was very disappointing.
There is no beach across the road of the hotel and you need to walk for 5-10 minutes to get to a proper beach. The hotel does not offer sunbeads in the Phuket area.

The hotel offers a daily trip to the so called paradise beach were you can use sunbeds and parasols. It is around a 30 minute ride in the hotel tuk-tuk. The beach is nice but very croweded with sunbeds and people for other hotels. Besides you need to be take the hotel tuk tuk back at 5 pm (again very early) otherwise you’re trapped there.

Located about 3-5mins walk from start of Patong Beach. Don't stop for anyone trying to tell you that you have won a holiday... Taxis & Tuk tuk's are out front if you need one. Security is very good with a guard on main gate most of the time. Breakfast was included with our room, and it was nice, but mostly cold. The staff a very friendly and try to help as much as possible. They have a cart service running up and down the resort, in case you don't want to take the stairs. It is a CLIFF resort, after all. Our room is spacious, has an ok view (we are on ground level). Shower is terrible, sometimes we can only get a decent amount of water, if we have a cold shower. When we turn it to warm, the water dwindles. The bed is also too hard for us. Overall, we are having a lovely time here. About to hop on one of their free shuttle services to Phuket.

Excellent view from our hotel room, such a beautiful hotel. Its quiet and relaxing if thats the holiday you are looking for. About 5-10 minute tuk tuk ride from Bangala Rd. The staff were so friendly and food at all the resturants were fantastic! The hotel is on a steep cliff so be prepared to walk up the cliff to your room. However there is a shuttle that runs up and down all day until midnight. Would stay here again and again!

This is the perfect hotel. Not on phatong's beach front so you never hear traffic. But its only a 3 minute walk to the start of the 3km phatong beach.
Close to bangla road (12 minute walk) so if you feel like a good party its close enough.
The hotel itself is just amazing. We had an ocean facing room that also overlooked the pool. Rooms are very big. Air conditioning works like a dream and bed is super comfy. Only negative is the shower head in the bath. I prefer seperate shower, but I travel enough to realize very few places have that.
All in all I would very strongly recomend the hotel. And there is happy hour from 4pm till 7 pm each night. Half price on everything.

After staying one night elsewhere in the midst of all the action of South Beach Patong, we preferred the quiet & high quality facilities of Diamond Cliff. We have stayed at the Burasari, the Bliss and the Novotel next door, and Diamond Cliff bests them all in every way. Staff are all friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean and spacious, and importantly for us, you could actually sleep at night as beds were comfortable - rooms dark, and little if any outside noise. We stayed in the Grand wing with one of the pools only 20m away.
I had an issue with an outside your operator (The Speedy Leong Travel Service) where we booked a trip to James Bond Island, paid our money, but they were a no show to pick us up. I talked to the reception staff who called her only to be told she had overbooked - didn't think to let us know) They followed this up with her numerous times on our behalf during the day as i wanted a refund and if not for their persistence, we would have lost the money. In fact they arranged for what I would best describe as this 'unprofessional woman' to drop off the money at our hotel later that night. This was service above and beyond as wasn't their issue. This hotel has lots of great restaurants within 100m, some overlooking the sea, so really well situated. Good breakfast selection, clean pools - all good. Even allowed up a 2pm checkout which helped. The internal shuttle was prompt so if you didn't want to walk up or down the hill, you don't need to. the longest we ever waited for the shuttle was a couple of minutes, so no issue. Overall. for the price we paid, we were really happy with this choice and would definitely recommend.
