What an amazing hotel, first time in phuket and was extremely picky about where to stay..I kept saying as a 24 year old couple I just want to tan, shop and have a swim up bar! Buarasari exceeded those requirements every minute of our stay! We were within walking distance of the best shopping in Patong Beach and right next to holiday inn which had 2 Very yummy restaurants which we are at frequently! Staff were lovely, location was upbeatable and resort itself was sensational! We had a pool villa for 6 nights and went to phi phi island for 2 nights - which we cut short to go back to Buarsari for our last night.. We then stayed in an elite room which was half the price but just as good if not better!!! Buarsari - Iam a bit hard to please but must say when traveling to Phuket next, there is no where I would rather stay!! Thank you

Very nice hotel. Room is big and clean. Bathroom is very modern. Mini bar is free. Buffet breakfast is awesome. Lots of choices. Service is great. Very helpful and polite staff. Always welling to lend a hand. Staff are always smiling and attentive. It has a great location. Very near to the beach. And very near to hard rock cafe and hooters. Highly recommended. I will really recommend this hotel to everyone. You won't regret staying here.

As my title says. The best ever in Patong. A whole lot of luxury for not so much money. Loved it! About 30 minutes buy car from Phuket international and about 2 minutes walk to the beach. If you walk 2 minutes up the street you get to the real shopping district. For such a location the hotel is very quite.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 2nd floor towards the "old" pool and the restaurant and it was very qu...

We’d found Burasari on Trip Advisor over 12 months ago and we were so impressed by the website and reviews that we decided we’d stay there the next time we visited Patong. When the opportunity to book a holiday arose, we found the early bird specials on the Burasari website and booked an elite pool access room. We returned from our trip on Wednesday last week and I’ve been trying to formulate this review in my mind ever since.

The fact is that Burasari is a gorgeous boutique hotel but we were mistaken to think that it is luxurious or 5 star. Our expectations of a high end experience may have come from so many people gushing unreservedly on Trip Advisor but the reality is much more of a 3 or perhaps a 4 star establishment. That’s not to say we didn’t like it, just that we had come to expect more than what we actually received… I don’t think this was really Burasari’s fault.

Firstly I want to say, the staff of Burasari were exceptional at all times. They were all happy, smiling, helpful and lovely to see on a daily basis. The standout’s were definitely the bar staff at the swim up bar. Even though we only had a couple of drinks with them on our first day, we’ll remember them fondly – they were absolutely fantastic.

What really struck us as ‘less than exceptional’ was the lack of maintenance and general design of the facilities. We were in room 3122 and there were many small issues that just took the shine off the room. The issues were things like dirty, damaged tiles in the bathroom, leaking shower, cupboard doors about to fall off, broken toiletries holder in the shower and mouldy, cracked grout in the bathroom and pool. We were also a bit disappointed with the lack of privacy we had on our little pool access patio… there was a selection of wispy plants separating us from reception which could have been dramatically improved with a better selection of thicker plants. As a result, we felt like we could be watched by anyone in reception and at night, we had no privacy whatsoever unless the heavy curtains were drawn.

Sadly, both my husband and I came down with the Flu on our 3rd Day and spent the rest of our holiday sick in bed so we really noticed the details in the room. We also noticed the considerable amount of noise including noise from reception, banging of doors, trolley’s and bins and general chatter day and night (also fireworks every night down at the beach although this is something that Burasari couldn’t control – it’s rampant throughout Patong)… Although this didn’t really bother me too much, I’d read many reviews commenting on noise and I must admit, it was quite noisy.

Finally, we were a bit disappointed in the quality of food on offer in Kantok Restaurant. I’ll detail this is a separate restaurant review but we just felt that the quality of the food just didn’t justify the price – particularly during the buffet dinner we had on our first night at Burasari. We’d normally avoid Buffet’s anyway but we were tired and we’d just arrived in Patong – plus it was raining quite heavily. However for 700baht per head, we were very disappointed and I really wished we’d braved the rain to eat elsewhere.

Although many people have commented very favourably on the breakfast selection, it is really nothing spectacular. If you’re a regular traveller, this breakfast will probably be pretty standard. There is nothing wrong with it but it’s certainly not one of the outstanding ones in our experience.

Having said all this though, there is nothing inherently wrong with Burasari, it’s just a little tired and perhaps suffering from not quite living up to the hype surrounding it. I think that this place would have been exceptional when it was first opened but it’s no longer keeping up with the standards of luxury boutique hotels.

If you’re looking for a relatively cheap, quaint, hotel in the heart of Patong with a few nice features (pool access rooms, nice ambience and gardens, great staff and a pretty good spa) then Burasari is fantastic. If you’re looking for 5 star luxury and attention to detail then keep looking.

Dear PGPerth,
Thank you for your very detailed review.
It is good to read that you have overall enjoyed your stay here and in particular the friendly staff.
I am sorry to read that you came here with a different perception, we are a 4 star boutique resort, not 5 star luxury.
With regards to your comments on the room, we have already gone through extensive renovations last year and will continue this for the rest of the hotel in the near future.
I appreciate your comment on the privacy of this particular room and will improve that with our gardener team.
We hope to welcome you back to Burasari one day.
Kind regards,

This is singelhandedly one of the best resorts I have stayed at! The rooms are very comfortable, fridge is restocked every day, the buffet is awesome (it even has some local food and fruit for breakfast) and very well presentes.

The resort also has healthier options in the forms of a juice bar and a salad bar.

The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and a pleasure to worl with, thumbs up every time!

You also have universal plugs in every room, and free wifi throughout the resort, as an added comfort.

Lastly, the resort is beautifully decorated, especially the common areas around the pools.

We were a group of 4 girlfriends who stayed at Burasari for 2 nights. We had booked two pool access rooms. On one day, as we went for our breakfast in the hotel lobby, someone entered from the pool side (the sliding doors weren't locked) and stole a lot of money from one of out wallets.
The hotel staff helped in trying to see the CCTV footage but of no avail.
This is the first time this has ever happened to anyone I know in a hotel.
