Overall stunning beach front villas. Very convenient with own kitchen
Staff and management of the property is however not yet what it should be - particulary not if you look at the pricelevel. Not even close to Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental standard level. It's a bit chaotic with a lot of mistakes. Still we couldn't be bothered too much and the location and the convenience of your own villa with a pool right at the beach makes it up for me and is simply ideal with kids.

Room Tip: beachfront villa

Don't know whether this place should be sued for false advertising, or the photographer should be given a special award for making it look bigger, brighter and more beautiful than it is in real life. I was disappointed. Location is not bad... there are lots of hotels farther from the beach than this one... but if you're a beach person there are much better choices, so check the map. My standard room "with double bed, balcony, wifi and breakfast included" should have been good value for the money; but only the bed was as advertised. The room was large but dark. The "balcony" faced a busy street and featured a view of spider-webbed telephone wires. The bathroom was mouldy and not quite clean, showerhead could not be adjusted, no hair dryer. There was no kettle for coffee... and no wifi. Wifi is only free in the lobby... where there are 8 seats... but my room had none at all! Of 3 pay-as-you-go computers available off the lobby, only one was working. Friendly female staff with excellent English were helpful and offered to change room when one with wifi became available two days later; but message was not received by unconcerned unhelpful males working the desk the day the change was supposed to happen. Breakfast some days had lots of choices and fresh fruit and other days very little. Special feature was eggs fried to order except they were not fried to order and were turned out like cookie cutters 10 at a time, so were cold. Dinner in restaurant was awful. There was very little lighting on the way to the room at night. The "spa" was a futon under a bamboo roof, which is to say, not private and could only handle two clients at a time. Only bright spot was the pool -- not as big or surrounded by gardens as it appears in publicity photo, but perfectly adequate and clean. Also one friendly and helpful tour desk clerk, Suriya. There were a few families there (though Patong is known as a backpacker party beach) but mostly young to middle-aged Russian couples.
If you go, remember it is a budget hotel, so lower your expectations -- and do NOT book a standard room!

Room Tip: Do NOT book rooms 101 thru 107. Higher 100s may be OK as standard rooms; but better rooms are in 200s and 300s and are superior or deluxe and overpriced accordingly.

Stayed here December 18th-22nd 2012 as part of a 4 week tour of Thailand, and must say I really liked the place!

The location is ideal, it's around 200m from the hustle and bustle of the beach rd and one of the main inland roads.... Just far enough away to be quiet but with great access to both sides of the Patong town and most importantly it's at the only 1-way intersection so you can choose which way to go without getting caught in the busy 1-way system in the wrong direction!!!

The rooms were great, very spacious and very clean with a full maid service every day (beds, towels, bins etc). I stayed in a twin room with a friend, the bed I had was a dream to sleep on and did wonders for my back after 3 uncomfortable nights in Kanchanaburi. The bathroom was great and massive with a full walk-in shower plus a big bathtub! Very romantic too (for couples of course!) as the bathroom has a frosted window into the bedroom which opens up!

Breakfast was nice and there was a good selection of fruits, bread, sweet pastries, cooked savoury things, juice and cereals/milk.

Pool area was great although we did raise it with management that the jacuzzi area wasn't working and that's supposed to be being looked at. The pool is 2.7m deep at one end!!!! That's deeeeep!!!!

All in all a very very pleasant stay and I would definitely go back or recommend the hotel to others!

Went on to book for 1 night but as I was looking at possible three night stays I accidentally booked for three.

Immediately tried to cancel the two nights but was unable to get a refund.

The hotel itself is nice enough, predominantly clean although the bathrooms in the Deluxe rooms are ageing and slightly mouldy, could use some refurbishment.

The pool area is lovely and I was thankful to finally get in a deep pool (2.7m) at its deepest so although its no diving you can get away with a few swan dives without fear of hitting the bottom :-)

Food very nice a la carte and breakfast was a fair option for all.

Location is great as it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle to get a good nights sleep.

I would recommend this place although ill be sure to check how many nights I want to stay before I click "book"!!!
