We stayed at The Senses just last week as a group. We had a mixture of couples, friends, family with young children, variety of ages.
We had a fabulous holiday at The Senses resort! The staff are fabulous! Palmy, Angie, Tony, just to name a few.. There was a gentleman that worked in the pool bar that was such a hard worker he was running between tables and back to the bar. My sister travelled with an 18 month old and a 4 year old and used the kids club and babysitting and found it good. For the older kids there is certain time each day that is free for an hr or so. All the staff in the restaurant in particular were so great with the kids and would help them get breakfast and chat to them while we ate.
Check in was great, the staff got us a drink and hand towel on arrival and sat us somewhere comfortable. The staff introduced themselves to us and made us welcome. Checkout was also great there were about 4 staff members that stood out the front and waved us off as we drove down the driveway.
The resort has a great layout and the pool area is excellent! The resort is fairly new and is always clean and tidy. Just a heads up that if you are located in some of the better rooms you will need to take more than 1 lift to get to your room as the building is Teired.
The resort is only a 10 minute walk to the Jungceylon or there is a shuttle bus at certain times that can drop you in Bangla or at the Jungceylon and will also try to organise to pick you up as well when possible. (We walked most of the time) It is a great position as you are really close to all the action but just far enough away to get a bit of peace and quiet too, most of the hotels in the thick of patong have smaller common areas ect.
Our room was lovely and always cleaned well each day - floors mopped ect.
We used the spa at the hotel and it was a great experience, I went in to look at the menu and make my booking and was given a very warm welcome and drink while I browsed. It is a little expensive, if the prices were a bit cheaper we might have gone again.
Overall we would definatley visit again and would recommend to our friends.
