At $45 per night per room (we had 2) for a deluxe room including breakfast, I couldn't complain. As with all things, there was good and not so good......

Clean room but bathroom shower area could do with some bleach and a scrub. Bathroom is big with a separate bathtub.

Bed hard as a rock but we fixed the problem as we had 2 connecting rooms we used the daybed mattress' on top of our bed. The kids single beds didn't seem to be so hard.

Room in general had all the usual amenities - tea/coffee making facilities, 2 bottles of water free per day, flatscreen tv, air cond worked well.

Staff mostly nice although there was one rude young lady in the F&B area who could learn some manners.

Breakfast was okay, but I don't expect much for $45 per night.

Pool was lovely and I didn't think it was too cold (as some have mentioned). It was stinking hot when we were there so a cool pool was refreshing.

Location is fantastic.

I would stay again as for the money, I believe it is good value for money.

Hotel was just wow , room are big and clean. Very near to patong beach, only 5 mins walk. And close to all market and restaurants. Specially the swimming pool was so clean. Staff was good. Night life around is cool.

Our family of 5 stayed at Baumanburi for 11-nights. We had 2 x deluxe rooms next door to each other. The rooms are very tired and there were a variety of problems with our rooms including air-conditioning; blocked drains; broken doors; locks that wouldn't work etc. The hotel made an effort to remedy the issues but there were continuous problems. The main problem was the bedding - it was terrible!! The mattress was so lousy that my wife and I made requests to have the mattress replaced. What we got was an extra doona between the mattress and the sheet to give extra cushioning. The hotel facility was ok but not great. Breakfast was satisfactory but it wouldn't appeal to everyone’s tastes. The Hotel would be considerate of a 3 1/2 star facility and as with most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Very disappointing. The regular rooms were really subpar. We complained and they upgraded us and it was nicer, with a great view of the swimming pool. However, they charge $3 per day for wifi and their restaurant has no a/c. The a/c in the rooms turned off automatically when you left, and when you return, it takes hours for the room to cool off.

The staff is not particularly friendly or helpful (except for maintenance, whom we had to call twice) and their English is extremely basic. They could offer no advice on anything local--not even airport shuttle service.

We recently stayed in Deluxe room 3501 from the 11th June to 21st June 2014. The room was large and clean the only positives, the room was old and out dated, the door was very difficult to lock and unlock it would take several minutes each time to do so, in the bathroom each time the toilet was flushed it would leak all over the floor, the rooms become very hot through out the day and take an hour or more to cool down, you are given one key so therefore can't have the AC running. I would not recommend this hotel the staff are rude and unhelpful they can't manage a greeting or a smile. The Breakfast is very poor not a good variety to choose from. The positives were the cleanliness and location of the hotel.

Room Tip: "I would recommend a room on the south side if you like it to be quiet"

Stayed here for one week en March 2014. The hotel was quite nice and located well, right next to main road and walking distance to big shopping center and to the beach. Rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. Pool area was a little bit small and there were not enough sunbeds.

Absolutely brilliant. In particular, John at reception, Mr Bung in concierge and JJ Awis in the pool bar. A brilliant trio, excellence in customer service, they couldn't have done enough for us. We arrived at 12 midnight and our booking had not gone through, not only did they offer the same competitive rate but upgraded us to a triple deluxe room. Total value for money.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, across the road from Hooters and the Hard Rock Cafe, 500 metres walk from the beach and right next door to the shopping markets. Brilliant can't wait to go back to Baumanburi, my home away from home. There is also a pharmacy and laundry right next door, very handy!!!!! 45 mins from the airport too , fantastic . Despite being the wet season.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the pool, all great.
