Stayed in Nov 2010 for an 8 nighter get away from Australia. Overall this is a good little hotel if you are not into the party atmosphere of Patong.
Starting off with the Pro's. It is a small hotel so you can't get lost when walking around it, you are also in your room within 2 minutes unlike the larger hotels/resorts where you need a cut lunch everytime you walk from your room to reception. The staff are incredible, they are extremely helpful and considerate. While there I got a case of the Thai Tummy (the close relative to Bali Belly) and the staff where constantly checking up on me and the missus, asking if there was anything we needed and all of that. The rooms are great for a cheaper hotel, big queen sized bed plenty of room for the suitcases and the dreader shopping and the air con works a treat. It is hidden away but is only 5 minutes walk to every where in Patong, couldn't find a better situated hotel. The whole place is clean which is a relief, especially when you have spent the day walking the beat. We arrived just after 9 in the morning and they even let us check in early at no extra charge.
Middle (Neither a pro or a con) the breaky, nothing flash, freshly cooked eggs and fruit but enough to get you through the morning. - A little tip - Bring your own coffee, same deal as Bali, the coffee in Thailand isn't the same as at home.
The bad bits now, The restaraunt is only open to 3 in the arvo, so if you want to stay in and releax in the evening you can't. The Bar doesn't open till 2 in the arvo, saying that if you walk out the rear exit there is a shop sort of thing on the right hand side, also there is no longer a happy hour at this hotel. The hot water was hit and miss, I would pressume it is a solar HWS as when the sun came out the water got hot, unfortunately we had a run of 5 days with no sun and had no hot water for 5 days.
Now for the big downer - the RUSSIANS, this place gets swamped with them, they are the most arrogant tourists to deal with. Not the hotels fault by no means, but they seem to be attracted to this place in the droves. Good luck dealing with them as even the Thais roll there eyes and curse at them when they walk away. If you know anything about Thai people you know they are the most patient people you will ever come accross.
Overall enjoyed the place but 8 nights was enough.
