Oh yes..It is a shop lot, smack in the middle of pubs and massage parlours, but so are most hotels in Patong beach!! It really wasnt that bad,for USD 27 all inclusive during a low season, you get 2bottles of drinking water, coffee and tea,a beach towel for your usage. The room was spacious, clean although old and in need of refurbishing but as I was leaving,I saw new mattresses, lift was getting repaired, and the hotel is preparing for high season. The photos of the rooms matched what was advertised.
The air con unit is powerful, but on the noisy side..but I didnt get loud music from the main road at all. Staff were very friendly, partly because I spoke some Thai to them..but all front desk spoke fluent English. Just outside, you have many counters selling tours, taxi or mini buses to airport. it is roughly 15minutes walk to the main mall,Jungceylon and 4mins to the beach front. I chose this hotel because it was 3mins to Maximum Muaythai,MMA and Yoga Gym which had full facilities of a gym, steam and sauna. This hotel is nothing to shout about but for its price, one should really complain about its old settings and furniture. You can get worse elsewhere. Safety wise, there was a man downstairs at wee hours of the morning.
You can get local food by the roadside at night time and a 24hr Family mart is 2doors away. No complaints.More
