Stayed there for 3 nights. 5 minutes away from the beach, shops are close by. Room was very good and clean, toilet and shower worked well. Air conditioner on the other hand had been set on one temperature, was fixed with nails and could not be regulated. Night life just outside the hotel was noisy until 2 o'clock AM, so it was quite hard to fall asleep before that time. When booking the hotel (not by hotel administrator) it was said to be quiet. How loud noise can be heard to the rooms is probably related also the floor hight. At the end of the third floor (in the main part of the house), there is a kitchen-rest room for stuff, who started to chat and laugh around 7-8 in the morning. We heard it very well to our room what was almost the next to it.

Probably wouldn't go back,

Room Tip: Higher floors have probably less night life noise. At the end of the third floor (in the main part o...

Stayed there for 4 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful (we had a lot of trouble with trips and they did the phone calls etc). The woman who rents a space in the hotel to sell trips rips you off and is very rude.
Room was clean, shower worked. Toilet on the other hand was dodgy. Mini bar is cheap and refilled every day.
Maids come every day and clean everything.
This bit now can be seen as good or bad - the night life outside the hotel. Around 12 island bars usually surronded by women. Many of these will offer a certain service. Depends what youre into. It can be pretty noisy too until around midnight. Didnt bother me though.
Security is good.
Restraunt is poor. Exspensive and the food isnt good. Breakfast is just appalling.
Location is great. 5 mins away from the beach.
Would go back!

This resort was conveniently located right near the nightlife, popular beaches, shopping and some great restaurants. The hotel itself was average but it was clean and very satisfactory considering we didn't spend much time there except for sleeping. The pool is very small though, not what it looked like in the pictures of the hotel's website.

Room Tip: The king bedroom suites are very spacious, easy for three friends to share!

Bel Aire is basically "you get what you pay for". I went with a couple of friends two weekends ago for a weekend getaway. We were able to find a deal through Expedia for $25SGD for the room per night which included a "breakfast". The room was clean and definitely in good shape for a $25/night hotel room. We never saw any bugs, which for me is a huge issue because I cannot handle them. There were guards at each entrance, which provided safety, yet also called our hotel room everytime we had a guest over just to make sure they were not staying the night because it would cost an extra $15 per night. That became very, very annoying as we knew a lot of people there not all staying at the same hotel. The location was pretty great, about a five minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was average and if you go closer to 10AM there will be nothing left.

Great location, 5/10min walk to beach or Bangla Rd depending on time of day/night foot and traffic conditions. Big room, clean, staff good English and helpful.Pd $29.50AUD per night no b/fast. Cannot comment on hotel food as didnt eat there. Pool more spa with no bubbles, only one working. 1 lift but not really a concern. Not happy that they wanted $3000 deposit to use room safety deposit. Quit/very loud 10pm to 1am as there was about 12 small hut type bars along ground level, that had a few local females sitting at each( this is what it appeared like anyway). For price and location great, these are two downfalls. It also depends on what you doing/age ect in Thailand and what you wanting. Many families there, I was there with 15yr old daughter.
