“We were well looked after”
Reviewed 24 January 2014

From the welcome drink when checking in to the porter putting our bags into the taxi when we left the Millennium staff really look after us.
This was the fifth time we have visited Patong in the last 6 years and the fifth resort we had stayed at but we will differently stay here next time, the reasons follow.
1.Check-in easy and quick
2.Breakfast caters for everyone.
3.all the staff greet you with a smile
4.the pool is in a quiet location on the 4 floor and was very refreshing after a hard day shopping
5.Our room was clean and looked after by housekeeping everyday , beds are comfortable and the 2 different pillows supplied where easy to sleep on.
6.Central to everything in Patong
7.Quiet at night we were in the Lakeside part of the hotel and had no problems sleeping at night.
I will probably think of a lot of other positive things when I have finished but these where a few.
It was a well worth the money week at the Millennium Resort
Thanks to Nomi in the breakfast buffet for doing a good job under difficult circumstances.

After 2 previous visits to Patong, staying at Diamond Cliff the first time, and BYD Lofts the second, I booked us a family holiday staying at Millennium for 2 weeks, in May/June 2013. The reason I wanted to stay there was the location, as both other visits, it's the Jungceylon & Bangla Road area we ALWAYS end up at… either by foot or by tuk tuk.

We hit the jackpot! Perfect location, especially travelling with 2 young children. It was so easy for my partner or myself to just duck away for a massage or some food.

As well as the location, we found the hotel completely satisfied our expectations. The staff were friendly & always happy to help. Our room was made up twice each day. The furnishing & decor is lovely. Even when a couple of times there was a power outage in the town, I think the resort has it's own generator, as the air conditioning would always start back up.

After 1 week in a regular room, we decided to upgrade to a Pool Access room. Best decision ever!! Every day we were swimming for hours, so much that both our kids finally learned to swim without floatie vests! Yaay!!

Many happy memories created on this holiday, and we hope very much to come back soon! :)

This hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to Patong Beach, connected to a very large shopping centre that also houses a cinema and a supermarket. The rooms are spotless, the staff are lovely and the pool is a wonderful spot to spend a lot of your holiday.

My tips would be:-
1. If you can afford it, get the Cabana Room. If you can't, make sure you request a room overlooking the pool. Some rooms look over a car park and and empty field, not a great view from your balcony.

2. The staff at the pool bar are great, but not very 'pro active'. Instead of walking around asking for your order, you have to go up to the bar and make your requests, they will then bring your order to you.

3. Breakfasts are good, and the wait staff can't do enough for you.

All in all, the location alone will sell this place.

Room Tip: Also, stay in the Lakeside Wing, not the Beachside. It's much quieter.

Our family of 6 had five nights at the Millennium over New Years. Check in was one of the slowest procedures I've ever experienced! Considering it was around 2am Australian time and we hadn't slept much on the plane, our 40 min check in was a nightmare. I booked directly with the hotel for two rooms with 5 adults and our 12 yr old, but it took a long time for the hotel to photocopy all of our passports and have our keys ready. At one point I was told I need to pay more for the child as he was over 12 - they had a copy of his passport to say he was 12!
Regardless, the hotel itself is really nice and joins the main shopping centre. It is in two completely separate sections so depending what block your room is will determine your breakfast and pool option. We had the smaller section away from the main reception - beach wing - but the pool was still lovely and breakie 5 star. Great gym too.
Upon check in the lady tried to talk us into upgrading to a deluxe room for extra space but we declined. Our room fit three people with ease, however the rollaway bed was so small - our 15 yr old 6 foot son hung off the end by quite a lot.
Not a bad location, with an easy walk down the Main Street to the beach. Plenty of food options close by.

After our mediocre experience in the Deevana Patong we moved to the Millenium. Fantastic hotel in a great location in the middle of Patong. They have two wings, Beachside and Lakeside. We stayed at the Lakeside overlooking the pool. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and most of them spoke good English. I have been to Patong a number of years but this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Would recommend it to all my friends. Next time will definitely return there.

We stayed in a hotel room with private pool access. We really enjoyed our stay here and of onus the room clean and spacious. The staff were every attentive and helpful. Highly recommend. We were right in the middle of shopping district and found it easy to walk to restaurants and activities. Found an excellent taxi driver who was a good price.

Room Tip: Stay on lakeside.

The type of hotel room you choose in this hotel can make or break your stay here.

We ended up in this hotel as part of an airasiago package deal- this hotel is massive and split into two buildings, lakeside and beachside (none of which faced a lake, or a beach), with a shopping center smack bang in the middle of both. Our package provided a superior room, to which we ended up in the beachside wing (this is closer towards Soi Bangla and the main shopping strip), on the 6th floor. The setup here is weird- you need to take a lift to the 4th floor, cross to another sub-building and take a lift up 2 floors- we ended up the back end of this property, with a balcony, and facing the roof. Definitely not ideal for a relaxing weekend away.

Whilst the room was clean and pleasant enough, the view was terrible- we ended up paying extra to upgrade the room to a grand deluxe room in the lakeside building (as the deluxe rooms all faced the street and construction was going on) to face inwards towards the pool- we were infinitely more relaxed and serene in this room, with little to no noise of a busy Patong area

The grand deluxe room is spacious with a massive bathroom and living area. The bed was a king size deluxe and super comfortable. Our balcony looked over the pool area though it was not ideal at night for the sheer number of mosquitoes. Would have been great if they provided a mosquito coil or something similar.

The staff were friendly and did all that was requested- the pool staff were really lovely. We did not choose to have breakfast at the hotel, prefering to wander the streets of Patong for local delicacies.

Location wise, it is a 5 minute stroll to Soi Bangla and down to the beach. As mentioned, a huge shopping center is attached to this hotel and you can get your restaurants, pedi/mani, facials, massages, groceries, clothes etc all in this mall without wandering too far away from the hotel. (a welcome sometimes when it bucketed down with rain).

A pleasant quiet stay once we changed the rooms.

Room Tip: Do not go below a grand deluxe room in the lakeside wing if you're here for some R&R time.
