While staying on the southern end of Karon Beach we walked past a very modern looking restaurant (by local standards) called @Peaches, but followed our own rule about empty restaurants and didn't venture in. One night when we were in a "what the hell" mood so gave it a go. I had the 199B pasta special and was served the most delicious dish of fettucine carborana I have ever eaten! My partner ordered a large Thai Green Curry soup which was delicious and we both had cocktails which were some of the best on our trip. Food presentation was excellent. Staff were really friendly and there was a duo on stage (who could actually sing in tune!!)
Not sure what the reason was for the lack of patronage - perhaps the modern decor gives off an "expensive" impression or maybe it doesn't represent the "Thai experience" ? Anyway we were really glad we took the punt. It's on the ocean side as you pass through Kata Central - white decor with orange trim.
