After being a patron of Indo Chine's flagship restaurant in Singapore, the Phuket offering was a big let down. On a Sunday evening in the tourist season we expected the place to be busy or at least populated - maybe even buzzing. It wasn't any of these.

We were the only patrons at the time we arrived, and by the time we had left only six others came into this large restaurant, four of whom left after a short stay. This is not a good sign!

The menu is exciting, as you would expect from Indo Chine, with a selection of dishes from across Asia. However, when the meal came it was disappointingly average. It is safe to say that nothing stood out and a steak dish was best described as burnt morsels of beef.

We had an outdoor table which was a mistake. This restaurant is on the main road out of Patong and Kalim Beach and as such there is a lot of vehicle noise. We could have gone inside but then what intiamcy are you going to find in an empty cavernous restaurant.

We arrived to an empty restaurant and left it being equally empty. Quite clearly, Indo Chine's slick design and culinary promise is lost on Phuket's tourists, or maybe it has not made the grade in a fiercely competitive market.

I wish I had something good to say about this place..... I haven't. The highlght of the evening was the drive back to Patong in a hi tech van with a flashing lights interior and a sound sytem to match.

Our recommendation. Give it a miss.

We had an amazing private rooftop pool party & buffet here. We were greeted by a marching band & baby elephant we all took our pictures with. Then on the roof the views were amazing, the food plentiful and just the tastiest. The entertainment was unique & fun. Topped with fireworks... Didn't think that could be topped but then we lit & released wish lanterns into the sky, now that is a vision.

First the ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic; waterfront with commanding views from Kalim along the entire length of Patong Bay. You know you’re not in Patong however the view gives you an mindset of wanting to explore the Patong beachfront which is a great appetizer itself! As dusk turned to night during our dinner the lights and excitement of Patong added to the experience. The staff was attentive and polite, dinner came quickly and dishes in the correct order. We keys on the Vietnam portion of the men’s are were not disappointed, by far the best Vietnamese dishes since my last trip to Vietnam. Light, very fresh, and refreshing dishes and the menu states organic so we take their word, which adds a nice touch. We loved the fact no endangered spices like blue or yellow fin tuna are on the menu.
The overall experience was fantastic and the food was exceptional! Living in Phuket with the variety of great restaurants available, we put the Phuket Indochine Waterfront restaurant high on our list to return too!

The worst restaurant on the island. we were able to know on arrival, no customer was present ....... no wine list but I had to walk along to the wine storage. The appetizer was somewhat reasonable, but the main courses cooked unimaginable bad. This was not a chef but the dishes prepared by the cleaning staff. The service was also very bad, I think we were the first ever customer. It reminded me that I was in a classroom sitting where the staff was first trained. For all this you pay a high prize. I would not recommend anyone to eat here and spend your good money.
