“Nice place to stay one night”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

Quite nice place to stay one night: clean rooms, friendly staff, tasty breakfast. We have spend here just one night, because it's enough for temples, caves watching - do not know what else can be done in Phetchaburi.

A good place for 1-2 nights, which is all you need for Phetchaburi anyway. Room was quite large, beds were comfortable and linen clean. Bathroom acceptable. Right next to phram Nakhon khiri and a very reasonable restaurant. The actual hotel has an exceptionally reasonable restaurant itself actually - 300 baht for the 3 of us including two large beers; can't say better than that. You pay your money and take your choice, and for the money this place is fine, just don't expect too much.

Sun hotel is a good place to stay for 1-2 nights, close to Phra Nakorn Kiri and on the highway. but I fiound one guesthouse named 2N Guesthouse which is very good situated on a nice landscape garden and not far from Phetchaburi train station. The room is very clean with air-condition, warm shower free WiFi .every room has a balcony. The guesthouse run by two sisters , they are former tourist guides able to provide detailed information.

We booked three rooms here for several nights and the entire group thought that the hotel was excellent value for the price. Rooms large, a little basic but did include cable TV, free internet, Air-con, hot shower and breakfast. Rooms included balcony with views across to nearby temple/palace and hoards of entertaining monkeys . However rooms could be noisy at night due to nearby nightclub playing music to early hours. Breakfast basic but adequate. Service by staff mixed, mostly OK but one or two were more interested in painting their nails rather than taking care of customers. Some of our group were over 80 years old and the lack of a lift to higher floors was an issue.

I am sure there more up market places in Petchaburi, for 950THB per night including breakfast we though this was really good value.

We got a very bad room at our arrival. First floor, facing a humid tiny run down courtyard. Walls were dirty and floor totally worn out.
We complained, they answered professionally and kindly and changed the room to a slightly better one. They always smiled and were very soft with us.
No one at the hotel spoke more than ten words in english so communication was almost impossible.
The place is out of the town and taxis are scarce. No motorbike rental service around.
Unfortunately there are not many options in the beautiful Phetchaburi.

Someone set up a guesthouse please!

We stayed here for one night en route to Hua Hin. We went for a deluxe room as it was only a little bit more expensive. The room was large, basic and clean. The hotel is opposite the cable car to the hill on which there is a palace to visit. At the foot of the hill there are a few cafes and restaurants. Town is around a 15 minute walk along which there are lots of monkeys! Breakfast was included and was very good, especially if you want to try a full Thai style breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

When I called and asked for the price, to be honest, I didn't expect much of this hotel coz it's cheap. But this small hotel surprised me, especially the service!
It's just opposite to the old palace.
