We joined a tour and travelled from Hua Hin! It was definitely worth the visit. It was the first time I had ever seen stalactites and stalagmites so got some awesome photos. Even my 3 year old was amused at all the different Buddhas inside.

I was just terrified at the monkeys after being attacked by the same kind in Bali (they took off my flip flops and chewed them!!). Remember to leave you bags and any type of food in the car. They smell everything!

Just an amazing place, a must see. If you cannot walk up and down steps you would not be able to go here. We walked in and out the front steps as the back ones are really steep and we had elderly parents with us. The people that sell drinks before you go into the caves don't mention that the monkeys will go for plastic bags, not when they see water but fruit drinks etc, so be careful.

The journey to the caves is rather intensive if you intend to cycle there. The terrain is pretty steep and undulating. Exert care if you go during the rainy seasons as the walkway to and inside the caves can be slippery. Nonetheless, the reclining Buddha and limestones are stunning.

To get there from Ratchaburi go to the central part of downtown. Look for the main post office. Near the entrance you'll see a makeshift minibus depot. Let them know you'd like to go to "Tham Khao Bin" going towards Amphoe Chom Bueng. It's a 20 minute ride. Having your phone will help the driver to drop you off along the busy highway. Cars drive dangerously so be careful. It's a 2km walk toward the park entrance. If you're lucky, someone will be kind to save you a short trek.

Don't mind the monkeys. They will not bother you. Upon arrival you'll see a playground to the right and friendly shops selling coffee, trinkets.

To enter walk around the fish pond, stay to the right. The park fee is nominal. Be prepared, the cave is dark and humid. You may get alittle muddy and it wouldn't hurt to have a flashlight or headlamp to navigate. Guided tours were done in Thai. You're welcomed to join or take your time to see the stalactite formations.

Exit and refresh before heading back. Cross the busy highway and wait for a minibus going back downtown. The minibus may flash their lights to see if you want a ride. A downward signal, a polite "yeah" will get them to stop. You will be dropped off inside the post office parking lot.

First beware of the monkey, leave your bag in the car as the beasts will snatch it away. Second, beware of monkey poo everywhere. Third, the path down the cave and inside the cave could be slippery. Fourth, beware of snake, especially during rainy season. Besides all these, this place is just a temple in the cave. There is a mid-size sleeping buddha inside. If you stand correctly at certain location, look up, the opening in the cave, it is shaped like a heart. If temple visit is not in your list, skip this, if yes, make a short visit.
