What I like about this hotel

1) Serene!
2) Very friendly and helpful staffs
3) Lovely exteriors and interiors (Reminds me of my travels to the Greek Islands)
4) The view of the beach is awesome
5) Excellent food (the thai green curry chicken is a must try!)
6) I love the choice of music at the turquoise restaurant
7) Free Wi-fi!
8) You can just chill and relax in this property without worrying about the 'noise' of the city
9) Tsunami free? (Sheltered by neighbouring islands)

What I didnt really like about this hotel

Nothing really...

Honest opinion - If you are looking to swim in the sea, this is not the place for you as the beach is not suitable for swimming. Nevertheless, I dont like swimming in the sea (the pool was cool enough for me) hence this resort is simply- perfect!

Job well done to the team for keeping this place- beautiful and serene!

Having traveled to Phuket on several occasions, I am happy to have found Outrigger Serenity Terraces vs. the usual Patong or Karon options. The units, food and personalized service are the perfect formula for a fantastic getaway.

For those who have concerns about the resort's lack of beachfront, a simple drive to Rawai Beach will alleviate those concerns instantly..however a quick longboat ride to Coral Beach will open an exclusive solution in a serene adventure in an unspoiled private location with some of the very best snorkeling I have ever encountered (bring your rash guard or sunscreen!!).

The southern location is a delight for divers as the trip to the pier is a snap. Less time wasted on board dive boats as some of the world's best diving is on your doorstep.

A truly well run destination and the perfect location for those who want access to the tourist holiday but do not wish it shoved in their face...I'd much rather relax in luxury :)

Staff: Very friendly, as most Thais are. They really make you feel welcome at all times. Sometimes the restaurant seemed understaffed, and I was puzzled by seeing the same wait staff at 8AM and then later at 9PM… maybe they only work 4 days a week, but they certainly work long hours.
Service. Very good. Front desk staff very helpful, as well as waiters, spa staff, etc.
Price. For a very large and complete 2 bedroom suite, I think the price was very reasonable; drinks are not cheap, but food is very affordable. Aside from steaks, main dishes are about $10US (remember this is a luxury hotel...).
Food: Very good quality breakfast buffet. Very good lunch and dinner options, although you need to mix it with eating out if you are staying more than 3 or 4 days.
Facilities: Small but very new and well equipped gym, nice spa; very nice pool area. No room for kids to play outside the pool, this can be a problem if your kids are very active.
Beach: Not great at all. In mid February, many times the beach would ‘dry’ for days, becoming a muddy mess. Water, if you are lucky, will be knee high for hundreds of yards into the ‘sea’. This is a turn off, we were told most of the island is like that, we recommend doing some research on this.
Room/suite: Extremely satisfied with this part of the stay. Vey large, spacious and well equipped suites, everything is new, Internet service is included; nice bathrooms, nice view, great large terrace. The pictures on the website are an honest view of what you will get.
Try to get your room or suite in the building closest to the beach/pool and you will save a few hikes to buildings further apart, although not too bad.
There is a free DVD and book interchange at the lobby, not very well stocked, but you can get a movie or two and enjoy in your room. A Seven-Eleven and ATM right across the street are very convenient.
You will enjoy this place if you can live with a mediocre beach surrounded by everything else being very good.

We booked this hotel having seen the good reviews, we were not disappointed!! We were greeted at reception with a cold drink and ice cold towels. We had booked a garden view suite for 6 nights and on arrival we were told we were being upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with seaview and sun terrace above. The view was to die for especially the sunsets. The rooms are very well equipped with a kitchen large fridge and flat screen TVs I pod speakers and beauiful bathrooms with his and hers sinks. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was worth going down for as there was plenty variety and all very fresh. We had dinner most nights and Chef Louis is excellent although food was a little expensive. The hotel location is a bit out the way and no proper beach, but the experience makes up for it. Great place for a quiet stay.

Wow! Wow! Wow! that was our reaction as we were being showed the room.
We arrived in evening. We where asked to seat down at the reception (it's an open space) and the staff come to us and checked us in.

After all the paper worked we were taken to the room or should I say the flat. Wow there is so much space, the lounge is spacious, Room is big, bathroom is big. This resort is quite new. It has been opened for the last 10 months.

Breakfast is included.

The swimming pool area is fantastic. it's like a dream.

The staff..... well, what can I say ? They were excellent. Always with a smile, ready to help in any occasion. You could see that they really love working there.

I do travel allot around the world on business and this was by far the best. 10 out 10 I would give as a overall for this hotel.

I can't rave enough about this hotel, yes it is out of the way but Phuket is a big island and you would have to travel around wherever you stayed. Please take no notice of the review about stinky mud, this just is not true.
Upon arrival you are greeted warmly with a drink and a cold towel, a buggy takes you to your room which is lovely, cool, very clean with a well stocked mini bar/fridge. Breakfast caters for all tastes, lunch and dinner menu's both very good, wine list also very good all al fresco with a superb view. Staff cater for all your needs nothing is too much trouble. You can use their limo service to get around and the drivers are very knowledgeable about the area and suggest beaches and things to do. If you want a cheaper alternative use the taxi rank outside the hotel.
It is true there is no actual beach at the resort but you can paddle when the water is in and go for walks along this stretch.
Please try the spa treatments as well they are divine and not too costly.

I had the best holiday of my life at this hotel. We were met at the airport, as arranged, by the hotel's driver. He was friendly and welcoming. The drive to the hotel was pleasingly calm.
Greeted by staff on arrival and made to feel most welcome, we were ushered to a lounge to complete registration details rather than made to stand at a check in desk was pleasing.
Following this, we were escorted to our room and shown the various necessary bits and pieces. The room was nothing short of magnificent- beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and huge- not really a room, this was a suite.
The hotel facilities are excellent- again, all clean and well maintained. I can't imagine how it could be improved upon.
The restaurant, bar and pool are all concentrated in one area immediately adjacent the beach. The restaurant is comfortable, with a choice of either low tables with lounges or the normal raised tables with upright chairs. Breakfast buffet is among the best I've had. Dining at the restaurant will not disappoint. The staff at reception though, will happily recommend other restaurants and arrange bookings and transport for you. I recommend you do this as there are some great restaurants, both food and location wise, that you need to discover.
At the hotel bar, if you're hungry for some comfort food- try the burger- it's one of the best I've ever had. The cocktail list is good too- try a 'Chili Moon'- love it.
All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I do not believe that the presentation was an act- the staff were genuinely friendly- I have never felt so welcome at a hotel.
The hotel is located at Rawai beach. It has beautiful views across the bay to Lon Island. Step outside the front gates and you are in suburban Rawai. Inside the gates of the resort however, you are completely separated from the hustle and bustle..
Go to the Seven Eleven across the road for provisions- drinks, snacks etc to save your pocket money. If you want to buy alcohol, you have to shop after 4pm. You can buy local phone cards here too- much cheaper than activating global roaming on your normal number.
Use the hotel car and driver if you're nervous about local traffic and wary of traps, but the cab service just outside the front gates is fine and saves you around 40% on fares.
The resort is out of the way to an extent. If you want to be in the thick of it, go to Patong and put up with the seedy side of things. If you like it quiet and relaxing, stay at Serenity Terraces Outrigger at Rawai. Cabs are cheap to get you anywhere you want.
Go to Phuket. Stay at the Serenity Terraces Outrigger Resort. Relax. Enjoy.
Best hotel. Best holiday. I want to go back.
