A very beautiful and quiet resort. The gardens/grounds where fantastic. Our bungalow was a perfect base for 18 days this January. Beach towels, air conditioning and having a fridge (with water) was excellent. Tea and coffee in the room was a real bonus too. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Swimming pool was lovely and clean. We saw most of the island and Nia Harn was our favourite. Lots of walkable restaurants and bars, of all cuisines. Local shop, money exchange and gas station. The staff where very friendly. Hired a scooter from down the road for £3 a day and a jeep for £6pd. Beach a 5min ride. The resort has a free bus to beach.

Naiharn is in the south, away from Patong and Kata Beaches.
Renting a vehicle is fairly cheap: Airport Carrent rented us a new car for 1000 baht/day.
Patong etc. within easy reach. If you like fireworks then Patong Beach new Year is good (12 minutes of non-stop display).
Naiharn Garden resort is quiet and peaceful and within walking distance of many very affordable restaurants (the resort has a very nice breakfast buffet but no lunch or dinner). Closest beach is Naiharn Beach, not really walking distance.
Close by is another little beach which is very good for snorkelling: Yai Nui Beach. Nice little restaurant and free parking.
Good place to eat seafood are the seafood restaurants at Rawai Peer.
Sang Som is a very good cheap rum. But not easy to find. I recommend Tesco's.
The swimming pool is nice, wish they served cocktails.

Room Tip: Bungalows are individual free standing.

Lovely place. Good facilities (though they all closed out of season). Brilliant quite location and small beach that you don't worry about kids getting snatched or drowning. Though better quieter beaches way north just further away from everything else. Pool great. Staff helpful and very pleasant good value for money stay.

Naiharn Garden Resort is ideally located just 10 min short walk (paved sidewalk) to the wonderful Naiharn beach, a Phuket secret beach with it's own temple. The main beach of Naiharn has great surf and it also has a small lagoon which has a horseshoe beach of white sand which is ideal for toddlers to play and paddle safely. I would recommend the resort purely on location alone and the 2 and 1 bed bungalows appear to suit basic needs of the seasoned traveller, though I stayed in the 3 bed family villa (not recommended read on). The location also affords many bars and restaurants just outside the main gates of the resort but these are not boom boom noisy they are family run quiet and respectable (though there are some massage parlours too) establishments serving good quality cheaply priced food. Expect to pay 15 gbp for 3 course meal with 2 beers in traditional thai restaurant, I recommend the one opposite the main gates, very friendly and usually have family member playing classic rock and pop tunes with guitar. As I said we stayed in the 3 bed villa which was made primarily from non solar glass, and was just like a greenhouse by mid-day, there is no aircon in the living areas (only beds have a/c) so it was very uncomfortable for most of the day. The kitchen is large but has nothing in it, you get a very old fridge and just 2 hob rings. There is no kettle and no microwave, so we really struggled when it came to heating up bottles and food for the baby. You do get a TV with cable in the lounge but all the furniture including the sofas are wooden, no padding just sat on wood, so not comfortable at all. There were 2 shower rooms 1 downstairs and 1 Jack'n'Jill style between the 2 bedrooms upstairs, there was no bath or sink big enough to bathe my child in so bring an inflatable one with you. With the family villa you get your own parking space and you have a private rear garden with marble dining area which is very nice. You get breakfast included but be warned they do not heat the bacon and eggs up they simply place them in a bain marie and about 9:30am they light the parafin burner underneath so you only get luke warm food maybe about 10am, it is also yesterday and the day before that's food too, we saw the same mis shapen egg 3 days in a row, so you have been warned. I and my family member also got food poisoning from drinking the so called orange juice which we guessed on merely sippy was orange cordial mixed with the local tap water, we only took to sips each and then a few hours later we were both ill. It could only have been this item because we ate totally different things except the sip of that tainted drink. On a lighter note the resort has a lovely pool with a children areas which is seperated from the main pool by a safety fence. The sun loungers around the pool are good quality and very relaxing, you will find fresh pool towels and inflatables for guest use. All in all not a bad resort, but breakfast is dissapointing and the family villa is just too hot and the furniture uncomfortable and too basic for the price I'm afraid. i recommend the area and there are better resort there which may seem pricey in comparison but you'll get more bang for your buck.
