Yan Nui Resort (one - not two!) in Rawai has always been my favorite Hotel in all of Thailand. I like everything about this place plus they have excellent free internet. They have now opened a new restaurant. The old one was good but not great. But now they have opened up a brand new place called Landhaus Restaurant.

The chef is named Dirk Seitz and he has been a professional chef for 15 years. He spruced up the place really nicely. The service is top notch and the prices are really reasonable - just what Rawai needs - great quality at low cost.

They have a good selection of beer, wine, cocktails, spirits and German liquors. The salads and snacks are tasty and they have good salads and Thai food as well.

But their real specialty is their meat dishes. yum! Hamburgers, pork, Chateaubriand, etc. But the best to me is their Australian imported steaks. Juicy and flavorful. They are served on a hot stone so you can cook it as you like it. Great sauces on the side rounds out the meal. The German dishes are authentic but not heavy - Dirk has a light touch to his cooking that gives the food a real European flavor, not too much sauce etc. They also have a continual change of specials each night.

So if you want a great meal at a good price go to Landhaus

So if you want an excellent meal at a good price then check it out!

I spent a week at this resort and have nothing but favorable things to say about it. The Swiss manager, Gabriel Wanner, speaks multiple languages and is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Security (very important for a solo female traveler) is excellent. As others say in their reviews, there are 2 Ya Nui Resorts in Rawai. I started out at the other one but ended up and #1 for the better value and excellent management. Check out Kate's Cafe just down the road for good Thai and Western cuisine.

We found a low-cost apartments yanuiresort.com just south of Nai Harn, between Yanui and Rawai beach. Contacted the owner, ask the room will be. He answered: "Sure, come." So it decided to move out of the Baan Krating to him. The hotel was a small two-storey houses built around the pool. There is a restaurant (very good), rent bikes, as well as wireless internet (anyone can come in handy). They chose a two-bedroom apartments (The "Explorer A" Apartment) on the first floor for 1000 Batt including breakfast. Near the hotel there are a couple of cafes, internet cafes and in principle all. The beach Yanui walk about 12-15 minutes to Rawai same. In the evening doing nothing special, or drink a beer with the Germans in the hotel restaurant or somewhere else nominated. Since walking is not particularly visiting (even before Nai Harn hard, either through the mountain or deep in the round) agreed to rent bike

I always stay at this lovely resort - it has everything you could ask for at a good price.Yanui Resort is a small hotel with surroundings that are very lush with beautiful trees and plants. The rooms are much bigger than most hotel rooms - more like an apartment - with A/C, cable TV, small kitchenette, fridge, most rooms have nice balconies, swimming pool and daily cleaners. Every room and the lovely restaurant has wireless internet access (no extra charge for this) which is very important to me.

The staff is friendly, competent and helpful. The restaurant has excellent Thai and European food (great steaks!) and there is a big screen TV in the restaurant which you can have turned off if you wish. The seafront at Rawai is only five minutes by motorbike. Nai Harn Beach is 10 minutes away by motorbike - one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen. Patong is 30 minutes away by motorbike and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within 10 minutes of the resort.

They rent motorbikes and cars at a fair price. Pick up from the airport is also available. The Swiss manager is very helpful and his English is excellent. I come back here again and again for its quiet atmosphere and that home-away-from-home feeling.

This is a small resort with a nice pool in lush surroundings. The people who run the place are extremely helpful and nice. It has a small restaurant with a laid back welcoming feel and a good menu. The rooms are more like apartments and have good facilities for the price. I think most have balconies. It's not right in the main part of Rawai and not on the beach - but its only a few minutes by taxi - or better yet, scooter. I would definately recommend Ya Nui Resort for a quiet, great value stay in Rawai.
