“An absolutely beautiful day”

The staff of the June Bahtra are totally professional and excellent. I would recommend this day trip to anyone in Phuket as it is the most beautiful area with the most stunning scenery I have ever seen. There are the obvious sights such as the james Bond Island but also there is a visit to a gypsy village on the sea which is very interesting and done after transferring to a long tail boat. Following the tour of the village, you return to the ship for lunch and a leisurely cruise before getting the chance to dive from the boat for a swim before returning to the marina

“Family day tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

A great relaxing day on the junk. Suitable for all ages. James Bond island is very crowded, but we've been now! The floating village was interesting. We especially loved the school. Lunch was nice and cold drinks all day. Small fee for beer. Overall a great day out, good photo opportunities, lovely scenery. Long boat was fun got a little overspray, but worth it. Staff were excellent.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

I booked a tour to James Bond island for the 27th August 2013, through www.phukettoursdirect.com for myself and my teenage son before we left UK and I'm so pleased we did. From the moment we were picked up from our hotel and taken to the marina we were made to feel so welcome and relaxed.

Once we were on the Siamese Junk Boat – the June Bahtra 2, the tour guide introduced himself and the crew and let us know a little more about the boat and our planned route. Free drinks were available throughout the day. Lunch was also provided - cooked fresh in the tiny kitchen, but was fantastic! There was a small group of us on the boat (about 14 people I think) and we met some lovely people from around the world!

The crew of the boat were brilliant especially our guide, he certainly knew his stuff and made the 6 hour round trip very interesting. We were made to feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout our trip.

The weather was amazing, we left the shores of Phuket in warm bright sunshine, and as we got nearer to James Bond island we were engulfed in a wall of rain.

We transferred from the larger boat to a smaller motor boat before being taken to a sea gypsy village, then onto James Bond Island. The island itself was tiny, overcrowded with tourists and a few souvenir stalls, and we were well and truly reminded by nature that this was monsoon season! However 165 photos will remind me that it was so worth it:-)

Thank you so much to the guide and crew for making this an amazing and memorable day.

“Nice relaxing tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

My wife and I both loved the trip. It started out a warm sunny day and a beautiful view of the islands. You take the junk boat from the marina for about an hour or two and then transfer to a long boat. Once on the long boat you go to the sea village and then James Bond Island. Unfortunately, it was raining by the time we got to James Bond Island and did not get as good of pictures as we would have liked. Once we left James Bond Island, we went back to the boat, cleared the rain and had lunch. The lunch was delicious home made Thai food. We went back through some rain. Once cleared, we had a swim call in between mainland Thailand and Phuket Island. The staff was very kind and did everything they could to make our trip a pleasant one.

“Phang Nga Country side”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

We road Our Honda up through Phang Nga Province on our way to Ao Nang. If you have time get on a bike and head this way for some amazing scenery. Don't listen to locals as to how long it will take to get there as that varied by hours depending on who you speak to. From Surin Beach Phuket it would take about 2 hours depending on your bike riding experience but well worth it. We had a few stops on the way and was amazing.
