Dear Kaival Patel,

Thank you so much for this short-n-sweet review. It is satisfying to note that our villas, food and service garnered us “one of the best properties you have ever visited”!

Being an Indian from Gujrat, hope you enjoyed the fantastic selection of Thai vegetarian selection (as most guests from this part of the world are!). Please do visit us again soon and be sure to check our webpage for our very special offers to celebrate Banyan Tree’s 20th anniversary this year!

Stayed in Pool Villa during 08-10 May
Well maintained resort. Everything were in perfect condition and service level were closed to perfect.

The down side were everywhere were full of mosquitoes. They are everywhere during our stay. Lobby, inside the room, outside the room or even inside a very low temperature library. I can't properly use the computers and read the books in the library, have to fight with the bugs.
The other down side were, in their breakfast area, you can see fry lying on the food. Not many but there are existed.
A resort charging at premium shouldn't have this kind of problem exist.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the hospitality there. Will consider visit again if they manage to get rid of bugs problem.

Room Tip: Get a canal or lake facing room so that you can have more privacy. Goto the beach to look for local...

Dear HannPinn,

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, it is great to hear that you enjoyed a relaxing vacation in your private Pool Villa!

However, we truly regret the troubles you experienced because of Mosquitoes, they seem to be a particularly strong issue this year! Please rest assured that I have already spoken to our Pest Control Firm to find further ways in which this can be mitigated. I do hope you made use of the mosquito coil, lotion and electric repellent provided complimentary in each villa.

We also took note of your feedback on the breakfast buffet, and our Executive Chef has been informed. Being an air-conditioned space adjacent to the terrace, it does happen that some flies creep in as the automatic doors open and close. However, as you might have noticed, we put only small portions of food out and replace them quite often even in very busy periods for hygiene reasons. We also have a dedicated hygiene executive to ensure our food safety standards are maintained.

I am glad to hear that the issues you mentioned did not mar your relaxing vacation with us! It would be our honest pleasure to welcome you back again, please do let me know and I would like to personally handle it. Please do take a look at the great promotions we are running to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our brand.

Warm regards,
Sriram Kailasam

First time to Phuket. Stayed 4 nights in a villa (no pool) but with a jacuzzi and outdoor tub. Our villa catered for your every desire. Twin sinks which I love cause hubby splashes water everywhere!
The only complaint we found was the sunken bed at our age getting up at night is quite difficult when the joints don't work as quickly as they used to! Shower and toilet had full size windows looking onto the greenery. Every night a little gift was left on our bed which was a nice touch.

Our villa was quite close to the pool area. We hung around the adult pool area as the main pool had quite a few families and we prefer to read and enjoy the peace and quiet. We lunched around the pool and found the food especially the wagyu burger divine.

I found the breakfast buffet very average on comparing it to the Shangrila Rasa Sayang which is a similar price. Quality was just not there.

As the villa is quite remote we hired a driver for 5 hours organised by the concierge to take us around the island. Good value and got to see quite a lot.

In the evenings we walked to the beach (until we realised we could get a buggy) and ate at the restaurants along the sand. It was just beautiful sitting and watching the gorgeous sunsets along the quiet beach.

On the last day we ventured to the lounges/umbrellas on the beach and totally relaxed. Banyan Tree supplied cold towels but we had to buy our cold drinks.

Overall, a nice resort with friendly helpful staff but probably would not return.

Dear BaliGalSydney,

Sunny greetings from Banyan Tree Phuket. We would like to thank you very much for contributing to a post on Tripadvisor. I am glad you enjoyed the design of our villas, nightly turn down gifts, delectable wagyu burger at Pool Bar and friendly service all around by our associates, these are our hallmarks and glad it impressed you.

On the other hand, I was disappointed to read about the inconvenience you encountered with the Asian style platform bed and breakfast buffet quality. We do provide extra mattresses to elevate the beds to make it more convenient, if we were aware of it. We will make note of it and please do let us know when you visit us next. As regards to the breakfast, it is probably one of our strongest suits and often times most commended on this forum. However, your feedback has been shared with the culinary team.

Dear BaliGalSydney, I do wish that you would give us another chance to revisit Banyan Tree Phuket on your next special occasion. Safe travels,

Warm regards,

Every thing was perfect . We stayed in lagoon villa for 5 days .the location and the design of the villa is beautiful .
They prepared for my husband birthday and our anniversary and they care about every detail that I requested befor . The resort was quite as I like and the spa treatments which I tried was 8/10 . The food was good but the desert menu needs more options. The most important key of our perfect vacation is staff members I really want to thank every one of them for their service and help .

Room Tip: The swimming pool is large ..

Dear drbassoma,

It has been a great pleasure to read your review on “a perfect vacation” with us, thank you so much for sharing your experiences with fellow travelers!

Birthdays and anniversaries are truly special occasions and thanks for celebrating both together with us here at the Banyan Tree Phuket! As you described in your review, our associates are dedicated to fulfilling all guests requests with great attention to detail and I am glad to read that our team created an unforgettable romantic memory for you both.

Your feedback on the dessert selection was shared with our culinary team, and our Pastry Master Chef Khun Sopa, a 20 year veteran behind the pastry table, would be delighted to serve you his most tantalizing sweet treats during a next visit!

We hope to welcome you back again soon for another round of birthday and anniversary celebrations!

We spent 5 nights in a Spa Pool Villa, part of the Spa Sanctuary. The rooms are amazing with a huge pool, jacuzzi and immaculate gardens. The Spa Pool Villa is an experience. Each day you receive a 20 minute massage in the grounds of your villa. Each night there is a turndown experience. The staff were great and could not be faulted.

The only negative was the mosquitos. I've never been bitten so often.

Dear zed2005,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for selecting Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary as your preferred resort. It is always a pleasure to read what our guests have to tell us about their memorable experiences one after another. Your kind words of praise have been passed on to the team here and your feedback certainly made everyone very proud.

It seems that the mosquitoes cost us a perfect score…what a pest!! We are seeing more feedback this year compared to last year. We have contacted the pest control company to give us some alternatives. It is unfortunately an issue that we can not completely eradicate but, definitely something we can mitigate.

Dear zed2005, we truly hope that you will be able to travel to this part of the world again soon and I look forward to welcoming you back,

Warm regards,

8 nights and a blissful experience. Yes, this chain of resorts is one of Asia's great resorts. Our accommodation of a one bedroom villa with pool met all our needs and more. Beautifully designed, with their old world charm, such villas treat one to the comfort and seclusion some of us need on holiday. The furnishings are restrained, simple but very tasteful. The villas are set amongst wonderful tropical gardens beside a lagoon. Bicycles for staff and holiday makers weave silently along the paths. Buggies are available at the touch of a finger on the dial of the telephone. And just a minutes walk away, is the sea. The villa pool is just divine.
Breakfasts are superb and you have plenty of time to soak up either the delights of the table or the dreamy atmosphere of the lagoon.
Saffron, the Thai restaurant is a must too. Outstanding Thai cuisine to be enjoyed here.
The Spa is expensive and could be a little less of a hit to the pocket, but the experience is wonderful, the scents divine and the massage masterful.
This morning, as most mornings, the baby elephant came down to the lawn by the bridge. How lucky we are to spend a little time to say hello to this beautiful creature. Do give a donation to the elephant, it is just a little recognition for the great pleasure of his company.
The staff are truly wonderful, thoroughly efficient, but oh, so caring. I think this is why we will return again and again to Thailand. The spiritual and the pure restfulness which the west craves for, seems ever present in this wonderful land.

Room Tip: Perhaps a villa next to the beach if you would like to walk.

Dear Nephrite,

Thank you very much for having taken the time to share your nice review here on Tripadvisor with other travelers. It is fun to read your personal journey at Banyan Tree Phuket. Banyan Tree is certainly a perfect blend of western indulgence with Asian hospitality. Good to hear that you got a glimpse of Nam Chok the most adorable elephant celeb who takes the center stage. Not sure if you are aware, you are now blessed for the entire year as her name bears the meaning of “Bringing Luck” to the people who have enjoyed her company. You will need to travel back to Banyan Tree Phuket to renew the blessing!

I have shared your feedback with the team as it is a great source of recognition and encouragement in keeping up the good work. Personally, it is a delight to work alongside a great group of caring and considerate team.

Dear Nephrite, we would certainly be pleased to be of service to you again in the near future. We could turn this wonderful gem into your second home away from home. I wish you all the very best,

Warm regards,

My sisters and I stayed at the Banyan Tree in May this year in a deluxe pool villa. The resort was beautiful set in lovely grounds - its quite a walk to get around it in hot humid weather so we used the buggies mostly (although there are bikes available) but that just added to the fun in terms of getting to know the beautiful and warm people. The villa was truly lovely - we've stayed at a few and this one is hands down the best. The beach was lovely - there is a range of nice beachside bars that we had great food at and we can also recommend a nearby restaurant called Baan Rim Pa - lovely setting and ambience and nice Thai food. What really made this holiday special was the wonderful staff who were all so friendly and genuine and could not have made us feel more welcome. Special mention to Niwat in the restaurant who looked after us at breakfast. It was very hard to leave - we felt like we were made to feel at home - if it wasn't for families waiting for us we may well have moved in!

Room Tip: all the villas looked lovely - we had one down by the lagoon so was especially quiet.

Dear LisaBeeSydney,

Thank you so much for this glowing review. Knowing that we made you feel at home here and you did not want to leave the Banyan Tree Phuket puts a smile on our dials!

It makes me particularly proud to read that the hospitality and service provided by our associates, from the bellmen to our dedicated F&B team is something that we are never tired of hearing. Khun Niwat, our Restaurant Manager at Watercourt was truly delighted to hear that his personal service left such a lasting impression with you! He has just been recognized as a high potential associate for further training and fast track to be a senior manager. We are all truly committed to the growth of our associates and to welcoming each and every guest with the traditional warmth of Thai hospitality.

Dear LisaBeeSydney, we hope you will visit your home in Phuket again soon, please keep an eye out for our 20th anniversary to make your next booking as there are some great deals to celebrate the group’s 20 years!
