My 11 year old son was intent on seeing some "jungle" whilst in Phuket on vacation. The walk in to the waterfall was beautiful and quite an easy one even if you are not particularly fit! The waterfall itself was not huge, but a gorgeous walk nonetheless. We saw some incredible spiders, birds and skinks along the way.
The gibbon rehab centre is also included in your admission and worth the stop. They DO NOT receive any of the money from your admission to the waterfall, so be sure to drop some money into their donation boxes. We had a lovely young German volunteer spend some time chatting with us about their project!
On your way out of the waterfall, be sure to stop for lunch at the restaurant on your right hand side that sits on the pond! Gorgeous setting and amazing Thai food! There's only a Thai sign outside. The banana flower salad was to die for!

Bang Pae and Son Sai Waterfall. Are not much to look at this time of year, more a trickle than a waterfall. Ticket price is 200 baht fro Farang, thai enter free . One ticket is valid for both waterfalls. If you visit on separate days you pay another 200 bahts. It will take about 40 minutes from patong by motorbike.

When visiting this beautiful place, you have to walk past the Gibbon Rehab Project (must-see!), and then you can enter the 'jungle'. Here you will find interesting looking creatures like big spiders (not harmful), bloodred crabs, lizards, ... You can also have a quick dip in the waterfall. The waterfall itself isn't that spectacular, but it's beauty is undeniable.
