“Great for little kids”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

This is a fantastic place to go with the family. 100THB entrance makes it a cheap fun day out. The slides are fairly small, and the park seems aimed at slightly younger kids. Older teens looking for deatch slides will be disappointed! I went with my 3 year old and there was lots for her, with areas of very shallow water. Well recommended.

“My Children's Favorite Place in Udon Thani”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

We’ve been here several times since this first opened in October 2013. In the past Udon Thani did have hotels that would advertise use of their swimming pool to the public for a fee but they were very basic. This here is our cities first actual water park and our children like it so much more than the pools we have taken them to in the past.

As you enter there is a there is a large parking lot with security that also helps direct cars into a parking spot. Next is being met by a promotional opportunity to win free admission or food. This is set up just outside the admission gate where staff has microphones and entertains soon to be guests. Each person is asked to pick a plastic duck from the pond and they then check the paper inside. If it has writing on in you win a prize which I was told can be music of food. I’ve however yet to see someone win.

The admission price to enter is 99 baht per person. It doesn’t matter if there is no intent to swim, are just a parent coming along or whatever, everyone pays this price to enter, young children too.

Once in the park there is changing rooms and a storage area. The storage area requires putting your belongings in a plastic bag and exchanging that bag for a number that can be used to redeem them later. This is also included in the price as is a stand to pick up a swimmer cap. They require heads be covered before entering the pools.

The main feature of the park is the swimming pools. There is a sprinkler area with ankle-deep water for small children that want to play and get wet as opposed to swim. Then there is a child’s pool that is not too deep and has a small 3 lane slide. Staff is inside the water to catch or assist children using the slide. The final pool is a bit deeper, but still not over the head of adults, and this has your typical larger twisty slide found in water parks that require a fair amount of stairs to walk up and access. All the pools are surrounded by life guards and there is a lot of staff working this place.

For the most part the swimming is for children that are early walking age to 12 years old. Some teenager and parents do also use the pools though.

There is more to do than just swimming pool, but not much. There are benches, tables and lounge chairs. You can order food or drinks and bring it back to any of those areas. Multiple food shops exist selling Thai food, fried chicken, French fries and ice cream. There also some surrounding games for winning prices, some music, and certain times of the day a mini cabaret show.

The only one downside is even though it has only been open for several months, this is already Udon’s most popular family attraction. The place is very packed. On weekends it can take a little while to find a seat.
