Stayed here for just one night on our way to the UK from Libya. We found it to be very quiet, not many people staying there. We had a taxi to the hotel, on the meter but when we arrived at the hotel, he said we had to pay extra for the luggage, as we were traveling pretty light, my husband refused, the porter came out to try to sort it out, I felt a bit sorry for him as he didn't know what to say and was a bit embarrassed. We had dinner which was good, nice selection, but a bit pricey but we were a bit desperate n couldn't be bothered to go out searching for food and paying for taxis. The rooms were ok, better than expected, although there was a slight smell, hotels now don't seem to smell fresh, don't know what they use to clean but could do with
a drop of bleach in the bathrooms. Slept well, but that was probably due to the travelling.
Didnt stay long enough to use the pool area, internet was fine, most staff were good, the
restaurant had a couple of lazy ones, I asked one waiter for some fresh lemon and he said,
without looking that there wasn't any, I then asked who I thought was the restaurant manager, and he got me some at once, there seems to be a can't be bothered attitude amongst most the staff in the restaurant, and not many of them smile. I would go back to this hotel as I have had far worse in Tunisia.

Beautiful views of the ocean, nice beach to run on and an excellent pool. I did not dine on site but the in room pistachios and dates were great. EXCELLENT SERVICE BY HOTEL STAFF. Comfortable room. Not much within walking distance from the hotel. No complaints.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor, ocean view.

I stayed at this hotel for one night whilst on business in Tunisia.

I found the staff to be excellent.

My room was spacious with a large bed and in a good state of repair.

Although I did not have much time to sample the pool area, it looked very pleasant, the private beach was slightly less impressive.

I did not have dinner at the hotel, however, breakfast was excellent with local specialities and international items.

All in all a very pleasant hotel. It is more expensive than many local hotels but not expensive by international standards.

I was expecting the worse from this hotel, because of some reviews I've read. this is a beautiful.quiet hotel. great pool and beautiful sandy beach. if you want entertainment, then this is not the hotel for you. but for a relaxing holiday, its just right. they need to take care of the room cleaning a bit more, but the staff are helpful, very few talk in English but most talk in French. breakfast is very good, with fresh orange juice and they also make omelets and crepes on request. dinner is ample and it varied,in the 4 days we stayed there, maybe its not 5*,but it was good enough for us. you have to try their pizza, which is served from 12am-6pm and its awesome.
we really enjoyed our stay. thank you ramada

Room Tip: most rooms have sea view or pool; view

i stayed more than 10 days at this hotel after i fled Tripoli unrest, in one hand being out of Libya and go to this hotel was heaven for the first few days after months of war and no communication ..etc . however i was graving for the internet and the wifi was dead most of the times, they don't have cable for fast speed internet and eventually you'll need to spend more than a 100 dinars to get an orange USB internet !! breakfast was OK not amazing. lunch and dinner can be confusing. sometimes its great sometimes you really can not eat the food. business center is horrible very old computers lack of facilities. amazing swimming pool and beach. very small gym. the rooms were nice and room service is good as well but i wish if they add more options to the menu . room cleaners are great but the reception depends on the time of their shift but sometimes they are very very helpful. but the one in the night shift is very rude not really willing to work and wont really help you with anything. sometimes i feel this is the atmosphere with the whole country maybe after their revolution or they overwhelmed with Libyans or the lack of foreign tourists they seem when they know you;re not french or German they don't really care if you're happy or not despite the fact that Libyans pays them a lot of money. anyway the hotel manager is a great dude, and the girl in the shop is nice. very rude rescuer at the swimming pool and in the pool bar ! i wish if they have more international or oriental cuisine rather tha almost only tunisian. and i wish if tey speak more English than French.l i will definetely be staying there in my next visists. it remain better than Golden Tulip, la Palacem Barcelo, and abunawwas and i've tried all of these hotels . just make sure to improve services and this hotel will be a hit in Tunis. should have better food restaurants and atmosphere and staff that smiles more often and use less the world NO. and check your internet connection

Room Tip: take the right side of the hotel pool view room . make sure to ask them for a good deal includes bre...

Contrary to the reputation of Tunisian hotel staff, all personnel at the Ramada Plaza in Gammarth (Tunis) was generally welcoming and pleasant. The lobby and public spaces are impressive and well cared for. The rooms are good sized and everything worked, but the bathrooms (while certainly decent) betray a certain age...

this hotel from the outside (front) was not what I thought. When I stepped inside, WOW, There are no Ramada's in the U.S. like this. Super is all I can say. The only small gripe I have was the Exec lounge food choice. Never went hungry and never spent alot of money. I will be back and soon.
