I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The entire property is beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. The interior design as well as the exterior was very well done and everything was very clean. The rooms were extremely nice and it was a shame to only stay one night. The service was also great, we had signed up for a sea view room and because there were none left, we were offered spa service as compensation. Definitely not a bad deal. The only things I wished were better was the beach. I wish the sandy area was larger but that's not something that can be changed easily and there is a pool with a very large lounge area so it's not bad. Also, they were in the process of a renovation/addition and it was at times a little noisy but not too bad. Overall, a very nice hotel and definitely recommended!

Room Tip: Choose the sea view room if you can.

We just got back from Tunisia this morning and it was such a lovely hotel, amazing staff. They were always happy to bring us drinks and had a great sense of humour. The animation team were so energetic and helpful. My only issue was that the bar closed at midnight and sometimes you want to stay up abit later and chat with people but there was nowhere but outside to relax after midnight. But it was so wonderful and the food was brilliant every night had a different choice and there were also free pancakes by the pool for all inclusive guests. Me and my friends didn't want to leave.

November 2013. I spent three nights there for a business trip, off-season, therefore, the ambiance was quiet and very relaxing.
The view over the bay is very nice and the walk on the beach before breakfast is something you shall not miss, just to be enjoy the sunrise.
If you can, request a room with the view on the seaside.
The amenities in the room are in accordance with international standards and the personnel is very pleasant and professional.
So far, I used to go to Yasmine Hammamet, but I will certainly stop by there, next time I come to Hammamet.

Room Tip: Of course, rooms on the seaside have a nicer view !

We stayed here during October half term and were surprised at how quiet the hotel was. The summer season had ended but we were expecting more people like us. The majority of guests at the hotel were French or German with some Swedish too. It was a nice change not to hear English accents everywhere.

The main areas of the hotel were to a very high standard. All public areas were kept shiny and clean. The decor in reception and the restaurant were like being on a huge ship and the staff were immaculately turned out in nautical uniforms.

The bedroom was clean but quite basic. The room was cleaned well every day and when we saw them the housekeeping staff were always friendly. There was a fridge in the room which came in useful.

The pool area was well maintained and very well located. We got down early most mornings and got loungers right on the edge of the cliff, next to the sea. There were always plenty of loungers available. The pool was quite chilly but very refreshing after laying in the sun. There was also a bar in the pool area which was open from 10. There is also easy access to the sea from the pool area.

The hotel's private beach was ok but could have done with a little more maintenance. It was a short walk from the pool area of the hotel, either along the beach itself or across the endge of the land belonging to the hotel next door. There were plenty of loungers and parasols and cushions were provided when you arrived. The area behind the beach let it down as there were many broken parasols dumped there and it just looked messy and unkempt. This could have been because it was the end of the season though. There were watersports available on the beach such as sailing, kayaking and windsurfing and the maitre de nager was quite hot on safety. The watersports were included in the all inclcusive but I'm not sure if you'd have to pay if you weren't on all inclusive. There was a group of men who kept walking along the beach trying to sell stuff but once we told them once that we weren't interested, they mostly left us alone. There was also a man offering camel rides.

We upgraded to all inclusive when we arrived so that we wouldn't need to carry cash around the hotel. It only cost 15TD a day, which worked out very good value. The all inclusive cocktails came from a machine and alcohol was added after but the nicer you are to the staff, the more alcohol they pour in.

The hotel was located away from the main part of the town but a taxi to the town centre only cost us 4TD. There were a few shops around the corner from the hotel offering the usual tourist rubbish as well as cold drinks. The prices were relatively cheap.

The waiters in the hotel were friendly, although being two females alone they may have paid us slightly more attention than necessary. We found a waiter we liked in the restaurant, who wasn't at all sleazy, so stuck with his area for the week.

There is a small giftshop in the hotel which was useful for using up all our currency before we left for the airport. Prices were reasonable and there was a lot crammed into a very small space. The only problem was that we forgot to save money to tip the porter who turned up to collect our bags when we had to leave the hotel at 3am for our flight home.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room. We didn't and regretted it every time we saw the sun begin to set over t...

The location of this hotel is very good. It's next to the sea and has a large swimming pool. The sun beds were also ample. We were lucky to come on the first week of November as there weren't many tourists.
Thing is its winter for them now so they turn all the air conditioning off at this time. We were boiling hot in the room as it was 28C. However, because it's winter and we were told that they were going to put the heating on the following week.
Our taxi driver was wearing thermals cos he was cold. We were sweating because of the heat.
Breakfast is standard so no need to tell them your room number during breakfast as everyone gets them free. They have a good selection with 2 chefs making omelettes and pancakes.
Our room looked ok but on close inspection.... drawers from chest of drawers not only broken but also missing. Main door handle kept coming off. Lighting covers missing. Some lamps were also missing.
I would say that the "attention to detail team" left the building ages ago.
The staff were very friendly tho so it wasn't a big deal for us as we were out most of the time.
We didn't eat lunch or dinner as it was a lot cheaper to eat out. We ate locally which only cost £8 for 3 people which consisted of soup, bread, starter, main course and drinks altogether. Alcohol is not served in most local restaurants.
There is a cafe / burger restaurant to the left of the street of the hotel and there's a shop selling local items. The price was better than the ones we saw in Nabeul, Hammamet Medina or Yasmine, which are the next towns.
We had pizza by the pool on our last day and it was probably the best pizza we've had. The crust was very thin and crispy and full of toppings at £3 each. The size was also large for one.

Spent the best 15 days here in Sept. Our room was clean, spacious and had a marvelous terrace with a view of the swimming pool and Mediterranean sea. Great Buffet with wonderful outside seating. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If your going to Hammamet this is the hotel to stay in.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and get a room with a view of the sea.

We booked to stay at Le Sultan a week before our stay, after our previous hotel booking was cancelled due to the travel agent going bankrupt. It turned out to be better than our original booking at Iberostar! We stayed for 12 nights in September 2013. The hotel is luxurious, clean, airy and bright. The hotel is air conditioned, and the rooms are clean and modern. On our arrival we had two single beds, and the staff were only too helpful to turn them into a double (which never separated) and was very comfortable.

The pool and the gardens are immaculate, cleaned daily and no rubbish anywhere. The bar by the pool was great with friendly staff. The animation staff were good too, with pool games and aqua aerobics etc throughout the day. Nobody was hassled if you didn't want to join in, and you could still relax in peace even with the music by the pool.

The restaurant was great, with fresh food every meal including fresh fruit and salads and veg. It didn't seem like you ate the same every day as there were many variations of meats/pasta/rice etc, with helpful waiting staff to get drinks and clear tables.

We booked two day trips in the local area via the hotel, and these were excellent value and well organised. We also visited the Spa inside the hotel and were impressed with the value and quality.

Simply the best part of the holiday though was that the hotel is the other side of the town from the 'resort' hotels, and was therefore not full of horrible spoilt rude families. In fact, we were the only English couple in the hotel and it was amazing. Most people spoke English though, and it was nice to be away from the masses. I'd happily recommend Le Sultan hotel to anyone, and would certainly not hesitate in going back myself.

Room Tip: It's worth asking for sea view rooms, but don't be surprised if the hotel is full already.
