“A Little Bit Of Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014

My partner and I stayed at The Orangers Beach Resort & Bungalows in October 2013, and we never wanted to leave, on the way up to the hotel it's a bit worrying but the moment you are through the gates everything changes, you are in a little paradise and it is great.

We had a standard room without sea view, it was perfectly acceptable a little tired but we were hardly there.

Service throughout is excellent and the animation team work really hard to entertain and they to a great job.

Food is excellent throught, however i did prefer the lunch buffet to the breakfast/dinner as it was right next to the beach. As the beach was so nice we did not use the pool.

We wish we could have gone back this year but we were too late go get booked in, i can see why this is a popular place to go.

We will go back again, just got to make sure we book early.

One tip for families with very young children, If I'm honest this is not the place for you, steps everywhere, no young children entertainment, but from ages 8+ you'll have a great time.

Just back on 27th may from a one week stay in this hotel. We were a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 kids aged 3 an 2 at 7. We arrived just after 3 with such a warm welcome off the bus and into a seating area and were provided with drinks and nibbles. We were then shown to our rooms witch were spacious and clean with all you need and dressing gowns and slippers.
The food was top nosh at all meal times everything was just right and you couldn't ask for a better service from all the staff, At your table they gave bottles of wine of your choice and water at lunch and dinner.
At the pool you got served drinks all day with staff providing great entertainment for kids and adults. Drinks and food flow 24/7 so don't go if your dieting!
The beach was clean and loads of sunbeds the beach staff made sure you were looked after. The sand was so soft and kids loved playing in it.
So many great things to say about this hotel all I can say is if you are thinking about going to Tunisia you must try this hotel, they staff and the surroundings make your holiday special. .

Have only been back a week from this beautiful hotel and already planning our next trip. Room beautiful, location stunning, staff just adorable, plenty of food and drink.
The beach was wonderful with really helpful staff to help with sunbeds, the animation team were friendly and funny. Our waiters at breakfast, lunch and dinner would always remember our drinks and were charming. Nothing was too much trouble, the lovely lady who cleaned our room was The only comment I will say is that the shower door was too short and I would always end up spraying the bathroom!! but that is all, could not fault anything and also met some lovely new friends xxx

Room Tip: the deluxe rooms were slightly bigger for a family and had beautiful sea views.

I agree with the last review by Tasha, who knows my niece Hannah. But I would just like to add a few tips, walk to the old town if you want the experience of the medinas and to get away from the hotel, but please look in the Royal Bizzare shop just outside the hotel front gates before you go to get an idea of prices they are very reasonable. The water sport guys at the beach are great and take whisky as trade for watersport's. Overall our holiday was great there's things to do at this hotel for all types from couples to sporty to down right daft, and if you have any kind of issue while you are there tell reception and they will fix it. many thanks.

Room Tip: Go for the sea-view rooms or apartment for luxury, but the standard rooms are big clean and good.

We can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

This was our first trip to Tunisia and boy did it impress.

This hotel was fantastic - staff were superb and couldn't do enough for us; food was fantastic....even for fussy eaters; beach was brill and we were very well looked after by the beach guys and the lovely barman who waited on us throughout our beach stay; hotel was spotless, reception staff very attentive, restaurant staff very willing to please.

Having been to many Turkish, Egyptian and Greek hotels on an all-inclusive basis I have to say that the welcome from the Reception Team here is the best. We were escorted to the comfy seating area within Reception, asked to complete the Registration process and offered cocktails and chocolates. As our flight had been delayed the hotel had arranged for food to be served for us in the 24-hr bar - very much appreciated! We were then shown to our rooms at our convenience. Very welcoming.

The Animation Team also deserve a mention. We didn't go to any of the day or evening activities but that didn't bother them - they still chatted to everyone, always had smiles and never failed to make us all laugh. They also never took offense. We did feel sorry for them because some of the guests seemed to have a sense of humor failure around the pool area!

The hotel hasn't got the most spectacular approach and doesn't look amazing from the outside on approach......but don't let that put you off - it's not all about looks!!

So, if you want a lovely, relaxing holiday with all of the above, then book a holiday here - you won't be disappointed.

There aren't many hotels that we would happily return to.....but this is definitely one of them!

One tip - we traveled on 2 April and lost the first 3 days to rubbish 'Scottish' weather - thanks to a Sahara sand storm! So if you want warm weather leave it till mid-April onwards.

Stayed at this hotel with my wife and 12 yr old son in April, did not know what to expect as we have never been to Tunisia before, however I was surprised how clean and modern Enfidha airport.
Transfer to hotel was about 30-40 mins gives you a chance to take in the scenery.
Hammamet was rundown in places and did look a bit like beriut in places, however once in the hotel you are served cool juice and chocolate.
ROOMS
While not the most modern furnished everything worked as it should, we had ample room and a lovely view over the bay (superior deluxe with sea view), maids cleaned every day to a high standard, towels changed. rooms also were supplied with robes, slippers and coffee and tea making facilities but for some strange reason no uht milk, a quick trip to the bar soon sorted that though, safe deposit box in superior rooms.
FACILITIES
Lots to keep the kids entertained during the day Archery, table tennis, tennis, water polo, beach volley ball competitions everyday, plus horse riding for a charge my 12 yr old loved it made many friends and cannot wait to go back!
animation team where brilliant - never stopped from early morning to night even managed to get me up and take part in a crazy golf competition and then got me to dance around the pool this never happens to me usually!!
Indoor pool kids liked it- however this was the only area of the hotel that needs attention loose and jagged tiles etc - not very clean needs a makeover desperately.
Treat yourself to a free massage and fish feet thing if you want or relax in the turkish baths and then chill out with a coffee and a smoke in the Moorish cafe.
FOOD
Good variety and quality however dinner service was a bit on the bland side for me in the main restaurant (i like spicy).
breakfast was good freshly made waffles, omelettes etc plus the usual fare of cereals, fruit, hams, cheeses and pastries.
lunch- served int he beach restaurant was again good I especially liked the beach noodle and pizzeria bar.
Pool snack bar served great pizza's, burgers and fajitas.
Entertainment
Animation team put a show on most nights and while not up to west end standards they worked very hard and all the shows were good fun for adults and children alike.
Beach:
private right outside the hotel - water sports and camel rides available - camel ride is a hoot
Pool:
bit chilly in april but clean, lots of loungers but you had to be up early to get one - I tipped the pool attendant and we always got loungers.
Gym: got one but didnt use it.
Hammemet:
Area adjacent to the hotel is a bit rundown not much to see, hotel next door getting totally rebuilt by the looks of it (this did not impact on us).
Old town with the medina and fort is supposed to be worth a look but we never got the chance a 6 dina taxi ride away is the more modern resort of yasmin-hammemet which has a lovely marina with bars and restaurants as well as a medina and plenty of reasonable fixed price shops if you dont like haggling or the chew.
TIPPING
You dont have to tip the staff in the hotel as the service is first class however a dina here for waiter and dina or two here for the cleaner goes a long way.

All in all I was very suprised by Tunisia yes it can seem to be very ropey in places however the people are very friendly and it is amazingly cheap once you are there, the first holiday in ages that i have brought money home.

However the real star for me was the hotel, not the most modern I have stayed in by a long shot and can understand while some on here dont think it deserves its 4 star rating.
However if you go on holiday to enjoy yourself, have first class service then this hotel deserves 5 stars we will be back again.

Thanks to all the staff at the orangers for a brilliant holiday - 'little chick cheep'

Room Tip: Deluxe superior with sea view or if you can a bungalow

I have today returned from my 11th stay at this excellent hotel and already looking to book for visit number 12 later in the year. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this lovely hotel - they will bed over backwards to assist in any way they can. Good food and drink available 24 hours a day - not something you will find in many hotels. 2 good restaurants plus ample opportunities for snacking too. Standard rooms normally look out over the well-tended gardens whereas the Superior and Deluxe rooms in the main have sea views. Personally I am happy with standard as I only sleep in the room overnight as during the day am to be found on the terrace area, or by the pool or the beach. A minor word of warning for the less mobile - there are a few steps around the grounds but nothing to worry about and ramps are provided in many places. On approach to the hotel, there is a large hotel next door being rebuilt which will eventually part of the Orangers Group of hotels, but my room was very quiet and I suffered no building noise - once inside the grounds there is no evidence of building works.
