This is an amazing hotel, right on the beach with two pools (one indoor and one outdoors.)
There's loads of activities to do along the beach and I would certainly suggest you take advantage.
The hotel is not actually too far from the Wildlife Park, so if you fancy swimming with Dolphins then I'd definitely do that too. Yes it is about a 25 minute drive but it's worth it, and it can all be booked through the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located and easy to get to the old and new Medina if you fancy seeing a little of the local area. We dined out a few nights and did a bit of shopping.
There's loads of amazing restaurants and they are so reasonably priced.

The food is lovely in the hotel, with a selection for everyone- from breakfast through to dinner. Pizzas, Panini's, Stir Fry, Waffles, Crepes, rice dishes, pasta dishes, soup, fruit- the list could go on.
My partner is EXTREMELY fussy and even he managed to eat.

The staff can't do more for you and the animations team are really brilliant.

Don't listen to the bad reviews. If these people were such holiday connoisseurs they'd be on their own privately owned cruise ship and heading to the Maldives on a holiday 5 times the price.

Having just returned from Les Orangers on 16th June 2014 following an eleven night stay there with my partner I will give as honest a review as possible from my perspective.

We stayed all inclusive in a standard room.

Let’s start by getting the negatives out of the way:
Yes the hotel does look a bit dated, it is after all 30 years old or so I was told.
The food was good, wasn’t spectacular but we could always find something to eat which I found to be really nice.
The two main eating areas could do with being laid out differently but once you knew where everything was it was fine.

The waiters were absolutely fantastic, very attentive to your requirements, quite often the main restaurant was busy of an evening, we could always find somewhere to sit, however the table may not have had the place settings ready but the staff were always straight over and made sure everything you required was then there.

The animation team work hard through out the course of the day but the evening entertainment lacks something, kids club is repetitive and the majority of the shows are the animation team in different costumes miming to whichever theme.

The only other negative is that although we were not being picked up to go to the airport until 18:30 on our day of departure we still had to check out by midday. Late check out was not available owing to no availability although we were told that we could have use of a room for an hour during the afternoon if we wanted to shower and change.

We opted to just check out at midday, our cases were held in a room, not locked, until we were ready to go and we still had full use of all the facilities, bars, restaurants, etc right up until we were getting on the coach.

That’s the only negatives I could find, okay the corridor to the room echoed a lot with other guests coming and going but that is down to the other guests, not the hotel.

The standard rooms were basic, we found the bed to be very comfortable, TV was okay with two English speaking channels. Tea and coffee making facilities were in the room along with a fridge.
Bottled water was readily available throughout the complex, from the bars and a fridge by the beach restaurant, always free, just help yourself. Milk was also available free if you asked at the bar in reception.

Standard rooms do not have a safe however safety deposit boxes are available in two separate rooms, one behind main reception and one by the second reception in the beach block. £20 deposit for the key, returned at the end of your stay when you return the key and then 2 Dinar per day, for our 11 night stay it cost 22 Dinar, paid in advance, approximately £8 in total.

It is what I consider to be excellent value for money, all staff work very hard to ensure that you are well looked after, service is second to none.

None of the staff expect tips but if you are happy with the service, show them, a tip of 3 dinar is just over £1 and they more than deserve it.

The beach is outstanding with the staff there doing both the sun loungers and security, which they did extremely well, very vigilant ensuring sellers did not approach holiday makers, they are allowed on the beach however anyone interested in buying something had to approach them. I also witnessed on more than one occasion people from the “neighbouring” section of beach trying to put their loungers on the les orangers section and the staff immediately moved them off.
I met several other people whom were returning guests for upto as many as 11 times.
To sum it up I had an amazingly relaxing holiday, waited on hand and foot, stunning surrounding, amazing staff.

Would I go back? Already booked for 11 nights June 2015.

This is my 2nd year at this resort and myself and my family love it here! We travelled as a family of 5, 2 adults, 2 young adults & 1 teenager and the hotel has something to offer for all of us. The hotel staff cannot be more helpful, the bar & restaurant staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome.
The animation team are amazing and work very hard to keep you entertained an there is always something to do for all ages and abilities.
The food was lovely and there is a good variety of foods for all.
We stayed in a standard room and I see no point in upgrading as they are clean & comfortable which is all that's needed.
This hotel already feels like home from home for us and we cannot wait to go back!

Just got back 2 days ago from lovely place . 11 of us in total 6 adults 5 children.
After waiting hour and half to get through passport control at enfidha airport( which was like coming out of a football game )
We got our coach and headed to the hotel you can see this is a country that has little money with rubbish everywhere and unfinished buildings, but we got to our hotel and see how nice the grounds and the hotel was.
We was greeted with a well deserved drink and they sorted out our room keys.
A porter took us and our cases to the room. It was a nice big double room with balcony.Holiday starts here I thought.
I just want to say thanks to the chefs as the food was amazing in all restaurants I'm gonna have to work hard down the gym for a bit
(The omelette man in the morning was my favorite)
The bar staff who made some lovely cocktails and good beer
The waiters round the pool who never let you run out of beer 10 deeners goes a long way every so often
The waiter at the restaurant s too (we tip if we go out in England so why not over there)
But a special thanks to the entertainment team who made our holiday
Each and every one of them worked so hard to make you enjoy your holiday they are not pushy at all
My favorite was Brian (I love u Brian )
What we have to remember to that it was Ramadan for the end of June and July which in heat between 30 and 40 degrees everyone in that hotel worked hard and u would never even noticed it
Thanks to everyone
And it looks like we are coming next year

We are a young couple around 19 years old, and this was our first holiday away together. We travelled to Les Orangers between 16th and 30th July, and had the most fantastic 14 nights of our lives.

Firstly the hotel itself. It is much larger than expected, and is decorated beautifully throughout. We saw some other hotels on the way to Les Orangers, and they were all very modernised and very "try hard"; Les Orangers is designed with traditional buildings and with nature all around it. There are stunning gardens, flowers and trees everywhere, even around the main entertainment area and pool. Their are enough facilities for you to do something different every day for two weeks, so you'll never be bored.

The rooms. We had a standard room, and this was lovely. It was cleaned immaculately every single day, the bed was extremely comfy with nicer pillows than our ones at home (and everyone loves their own pillows) and there are no complaints whatsoever. There were lovely bathrobes and slippers, the air conditioning was fantastic and didn't cost any more to use. Even if you don't pay the extra to have a sea view room or bungalow, rest assured the standard rooms are comfortable, spacious and very well equipped.

The food. There is an incredible array of fresh food from cuisines all around the world, with a good range of local Tunisian dishes to experience. The main restaurants in the main building and down by the beach are buffet style, however some reviews honestly do them no justice. The waiting staff go above and beyond to ensure your every need and request is catered for at every meal, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service provided is better than many reputable restaurants/hotels we have dined at elsewhere around the world. The 3 a la carte restaurants of Tunisian, Italian and Asian cuisines are set overlooking the beach, and offer fantastic set menus whilst watching the sunset on the private beach. For example, the Italian restaurant had the most exquisite and tender Italian beef we had ever tasted! As for drinks, the hotel uses branded soft drinks unlike some all inclusives, and you never need to look far for a drink, thanks to the hard working staff throughout the entire day. We regularly had different cocktails, the beer is nice, and the wine is local and delicious.

The Staff. The entertainment team are great and despite it being Ramadan whilst we were in the resort, they all worked extremely hard to ensure the activities were enjoyable. Mido, one of the senior members of the animation team, explained that Les Orangers prides itself on doing what the guests want to do, as opposed to just nagging the guests all day to participate in games and playing loud music all day every day. He couldn't have been more correct! Emir, Sammy and Danny were fantastic members of the team and made it really fun for us. As for evening entertainment, it was very diverse and suitable for all tastes. All of the entertainment team worked hard to organise different shows each night, and the quality was well above what we expected. In particular, Danny's 'Billie Jean' 8 minute dance was epic.

Overall, the hotel was fantastic, you could never want for anything here. The hotel was always safe and sound with a great security team 24/7. The staff, from cleaners to waiters to entertainment staff to maintenance workers to chefs all work so hard, and make the hotel one of a kind. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to all people considering Tunisia.
