We really enjoyed this Holiday during the English half term.
The Hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The food was plentiful and varied and our rooms were excellent with Sea Views. We went on four Thomas Cook excursions all of which we enjoyed thoroughly and I would highly recommend to anyone going to this great country.
Be warned however the 20 minute Camel ride at Friguia Park is plenty long enough.
The last trip we took was to El Jem and was the highlight of the holiday and not to be missed.
I would recommend this Country and this Hotel to anyone.

We stayed there last week, 7 nights, great view, clean, nice service, excellent food - amazing buffet - no issues. Great view, private beach, shop - all you need :) would definitely come back as the hotel is in great location.

Looking at the good reviews i think they was wrote by either the owners and staff or people with very low standards . The rooms are very very tired everywhere you look there is a crack , stain , or brocken . The small beach is full of ciggerett ends bits of brocken glass and tiles . The food is so bad after speaking to others who was stayiing there it seems like most had a upset belly . Outside the front of the hotel the street was full off building matirals and rubbish . Atleast the wearher was nice

We visited the last week in September and it was a good time to go. It wasn't too busy, so there were plenty of spare loungers around the pool. The weather was in the low 30s but wasn't too hot because of the fabulous sea breeze. The hotel had various star gradings, but I would have said that it was the equivalent of a UK 3*. We had a huge bedroom with bathroom and separate toilet and a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. It was fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. The fridge was well stocked and there was complimentary fruit and water on arrival. We were on half board with a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner. There was plenty of food and a good choice plus a chef cooking fresh omelettes and crepes for breakfast and fresh meat and fish for dinner. Drinks and other food in the hotel was very reasonable, but if you walked out of the main gate, the small cafes on the street were cheap. The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the town centre, but there were plenty of shops to looks in on the way. The town centre has the market, but be prepared for some serious haggling and they're quite determined! The shops on the way down were fixed price and we got better bargains in them. There are some very nice restaurants in Hammamet and they were very good value for money. We didn't do any of the tours - we just relaxed by the pool or swam in the sea which was clean and warm. Good for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: We asked for a room with a balcony overlooking the sea and that was what we were allocated - great for sitting out on early in the morning or before dinner

This is out eighth visit to the Royal . We arrived just after 3 days of rain ,a lot of standing water in fields, but for the remainder of the holiday it was sun sun sun ,just the job. It was great to meet with friends again . We had a top floor room with pool view, the rooms are clean but are getting ready for a refurbish ,which I am Told should happen at the end of the year. The staff were as usual very welcoming ,and attentive .there is a new Exec Chef ,this is making a difference with the quality of food served ,the swordfish was excellent ,filleted and cooked as we waited. Breakfast is a real treat Ammidoo( if that's how it's spelt) is a master with any type of cooked eggs . I cannot agree with one review regarding rubbish in front of the hotel ,this was actually builing materials at the side of the service road to the Sol Azur ,which you can not visit because it's fully inclusive ,so you shouldn't have been down there anyway. The Bel Azur is near to completion ,which I am told will be 4star,those people who knew the old hotel will be amazed at the rebuild ,the reception area is all glass ,it will have a fine dining area ,five master suite and twenty junior suites ,total bedrooms will be approx 260 ish, most bedrooms will have a sea view. There are two swimming pools both fed by sea water ,fantastic thank you Sahid for taking us round .

Room Tip: Always a top floor room
