“Very good hotel”
Reviewed 19 July 2011

Stayed 11 nights from 6th July we had two rooms one overlooking marina and our room on top floor overlooking pool and beach both rooms were perfect very clean, good furniture, flat screen tv and free safe. The whole hotel was in very good condition and kept very clean. The pool is massive always room to swim even when activities were on and again very clean. Easy access to beach just behind pool again very clean but sea weed did seem to be a problem in the whole area. The staff are amazing Walid always had our drinks ready in restaurant and refilled when empty, Masinga, Sam and Mark on animation, the pool guy who always had my umberella ready at 7am. The managment must all have twin brothers becuase they are always there making sure every thing is ok and always spoke to you. The drinks were local produced and not that strong but that mean't i could drink more. The food was fairly good and generally hot, the sweet selection was quite poor never had panckes because the chef was allways struggling to cope with demand.
The evening entertainment was at best poor.
A previous review said free wifi was only available next to reception desk this is not true we got wifi in room and around pool.
We would definately stay here again.
Please dont be afraid to go out shopping they dont bite and we had some good fun haggling with shop keepers.

Just returned from the Marco Polo Yasmine Hammamet booked with First Choice. On arrival we had some confussion with the room booking as we booked ajoining rooms but didnt get them, however the hotel management realised the mistake and went to great efforts to resolve the issue and were very keen to ensure our satisfaction, we can only applaude their effort to resolve any issue we had, in short great customer service. The rooms were a good size clean and comfortable, the sawimming pool was and the swim up bar wasfabulous.
Dining was fine , no complaints about the food, i did hear some people complaining but we found no issues and there definately was something for everyone.
A couple of comments;
The cocktail list for all inclusive was fairly limited and made from premixed bottles, the wine was dubious but bearable.
Sunbeds.. you have to be up at 07.00 to reserve a sunbed... or apparently ifyou tip a pool guy he will get some for you, if you get to the pool at about 09.00 you wont get a sunbed or umbrella! you have to ask the pool guys for an umbrella as they take them in every night.
Overall a good experience and recommend this hotel and location for families.
First Choice could have done a better job, especially regarding immigration info we wernt told about immigration forms, so major confusion on arrival at Enfidha airport.
The FC rep also could have provided better and more accurate local info.

Room Tip: Tip the waiters youul get greaqt service

Booked this holiday with First choice and would book with them again. Transfer time only 30 minutes from the new airport and we were first drop off. Welcome drink waiting for us and we got a room on the second floor with a view of the pool and beach. Had paid extra for this upgrade but well worth it.
We opted for the second sitting for our evening meal 8-30 till 10pm. Our waiter got to know our drinks and had a red wine and glass of water on our table after going there a few nights. Booked in at the Asian restuarant (open Monday and Tuesday) and the Tunisian (Wednesday and Thursday). Asian was really good, best spring rolls I've had. Lunch is taken in a seperate restaurant near the pool which was advertised as an Italien in the brouchure but changed the week we got there.
Our rep Mark was helpful and rearranged a trip we could'nt go on because my husband was ill. Welcome meeting worth going to as you get lots of useful info about the hotel, area and trips. We did the 'Legends of Tunisia' trip to El Djem, Monastir and Port El Kantouri. This was an all day trip including lunch and good value for money.
Marina is right at the beach and lovely to have a stroll round. You can book a trip on the Pirate Ship from there which is cheaper than the one done by First choice.
Found it handy to take a travel kettle and mugs so could have drink before breakfast. You can get a little jug of milk from the restaurant.
Animation team worked long days and don't push you to get involved if you don't want too. I only did Aqua Aerobics and Darts in the day but there is Boules, Water Polo and other events.
Pool huge so was never to busy for a swim and managed to get sunbeds somewhere. We went to the beach most days as like it quiet!
All the staff helpful and friendly. Fantasic holiday.

We stayed at the RIU marco Polo and the actual hotel you could not fault it in anyway and its staff were extremely helpful and always happy to help... The only negative we have is the food was very poor and repetative!! Marsinga from the Animation team was fantastic so if you do decide to go ask for him. The pool is lovely and clean but you will need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your sun loungers as if you leave it until 9.00am you will find it hard to get one!! All in all you will have a good holiday but would recommend you stay for no longer than 7 days as there is little for you to do however, if you just want to relax this is certainley the place for you. Fawzi the barman was very helpful and very good at making special cocktails a little tip will give you better and a personal service.

Would not return but was a nice break!!

Wonderful, brilliant, fantastic, what more can I say....
We had the most amazing holiday ever, 2 weeks of glorious sunshine, the pool is excellent, lovely and warm, clean and never busy, its so huge and the same depth throughout so no-one hogging the shallow end!
Food was good, but no english tea bags so make sure you take your own if you like a cuppa in the morning.
Room was very spacious and cleaned every day
Staff were brilliant, so friendly, always joking about and making sure you are having a great time, Daniel and Mohammed were always on hand to keep an eye one things and our waiter in the evening, Saber, was an angel, always making sure we had drinks
Mark our First Choice Rep was lovely, hope you are ok Mark, thinking of you x
We went on the Simply Sahara 2 day trip, We highly recommend this for a fun packed couple of days, the days were very long and we covered about 2000 miles so a lot of time in the coach, but well worth it to see more of Tunisia and its culture, our guide for the trip was extremely knowlegable and passionate about Tunisia, he gave us a great insight to the past history of the country and how it affected the people. Not one for very young children though and food on the trip is very Tunisian, no chips if thats what you like!! Star Wars & Gladiator fans will love it and the jeep ride is brilliant.
You just cant go on this trip and not go on the camels to watch the sun set - only 20 tunisian dinar each (about £10) and a brilliant time, so peaceful and beautiful
All in all a lovely relaxing holiday, with temperatures in the 40's for 2 weeks, cant wait to go back

Very good holiday. Fawzi - barman lovely and friendly. Animation team worked extremely hard - Masinga, Saladin. Deano and Magdalena were great - really friendly. Anis who collected glasses was also great fun. Take your own tea bags as no english tea there. Room spacious and very clean. Beds comfortable. Pool was superb.

me and my friend stayed at this hotel begining of july 2011. was a great hotel and the weather was lovely. the rooms were cleaned everyday. the weather was lovely in its 40s throughout the holiday!
i would reccoment this hotel to anyone who is looking for a calm holiday nothing more than sitting round the pool/beach and chilling at night. the entertainment was great, small/repetitive but good. mario and marsingha desreve medals for what they do, always thinking of ways to keep you laughing and happy !
the only fault i have ewith the hotel was that the food was very repetitive, although there was variety it was repetitive, for example there was many different fish and meats but only chips and rice to go with them. if you like chinese the asia resturant is a must it was beautiful !
over all the holiday was great, people were very helpful, always wanting feedback from you and making sure your happy.
i would always strongly reccoment the steakhouse! and MUSIC MAYHEM !!!!! great entertainment !!!!! funnyyyy !!! WE LOVE YOU MARK !

GREAT HOLIDAY !
