Yes we are aware that it is only 3 star and did not expect too much but there is a limit. The food was definately tailored for the rest of the other nationalities (not British) that stayed there, half of the time you could not tell what it was even though they had signs above each dish, we stuck to salads which were fine and varied. Plastic glasses most of the time and a lack of ice and no lemon in your drinks, we ended up taking lemon from the restaurant to put in our drinks! The hotel had cheap a Holiday Camp feel to it very noisy around the pool just outside the restaurant, we found some of the reception staff a bit ignorant with no please or thank you. We heard of several upsetting encounters (from people we met) with local shopkeepers etc who got very angry if you just browsed and did not buy anything, one lady was even accused of shoplifting after having paid for her goods the door alarms went off and if it hadn't been for her taxi driver, who went to her aid, the police may have been called. Very disappointed with the whole week that we had there and will not be returning to Tunisia.
