Pros: relaxing holiday, trips out available if you want to sightsee, very cheap for souvenirs, taxis etc, weather was hot but not humid.
Cons: A small number of the staff were occasionally rude, sometimes took a long time to be served for drinks (would recommend ordering two at a time!)

After reading a few reviews on this hotel I was slightly apprehensive about some aspects of the hotel. From the moment we arrived, however, the staff looked after us well. Our rooms were ready at around 11am when we arrived at the hotel even though this is before the check-in time. We were greeted by a cold damp towel and refreshing drink upon arrival. After unpacking and getting changed we went down help ourselves to the food from the BBQ when it opened at 12. The food is always good, usually a meat and a fish option which changes daily and then lots of other accompaniments including lasagna, cous cous, curry and large array of salads. There is also pizza and chips for the less adventurous. The seating area for lunch is partly outside offering a lovely view of the beach and sea. We found that the service from the waiters for drinks is a lot quicker after leaving them 1 or 2 dinar (approx 40p/80p).
We had no problems finding suitable sun loungers on the beach and the pool. There are plenty to go around and we usually sat further away from the pool which was a lot quieter.
The rooms themselves are spacious. I was a little disappointed about the table and chairs on the balcony as they were so low down you couldn't really sit on them and see over the balcony! The air con is really effective and quiet. The rooms were cleaned to a good standard each day. Our shower had a slight problem where it would suddenly turn very cold in the middle of your shower.
The food at dinner is similar to that at lunch. Lots of meat, salad and fish. Not many vegetarian options! The ice cream (especially pistachio) is highly recommendable. Breakfast was similarly meaty, but also served cereals, croissants, cheeses and had a crepe/omelette station to add the fillings of your choice.
We went to both a la carte restaurants and would definitely recommend them both! Great service even though there was only one waiter serving. Food came quickly and glasses of wine always topped up!
As for the area there are a couple of shops in the immediate area - just a few minutes walk. One is a large souvenir shop where the prices are decent and fixed. We took a taxi to the Medina in Hammamet a couple of times. This costs around 5 dinar (£2) each way. You will get hassled but as long as you say No or just ignore them they will leave you alone eventually! We managed to get a lot of bargains from the shops there. We also went to the newly built 'Medina' in Yasmine-Hammamet which is a really nice place for a day/evening out.
The excursions with Thomas Cook are good. I would recommend the 3-in-1 trip to the Berber village, Animal Park and boat trip. The Nabuel/wine tasting trip was also worth it.
In the hotel Wifi isn't particularly great so don't expect to be able to Skype etc! Beach towels can be hired from the hotel for a small deposit which is later returned.
All in all we had a brilliant holiday. There were lots of other couples of all ages and would say it's a great place just to relax and have fun.

This was our first time to Tunisia so we were unsure what to expect but the Aziza certainly exceeded all expectations. The hotel is beautiful, amazingly clean. Our room was outstanding for space cleanliness & facilities.
We spent most of the week at the pool because it was so beautiful. We had every intention of doing nothing, but the animation teams enthusiasm for their activities was infectious & some of the highlights of our holiday were the water aerobics with Saif/Malek & salsa with Maya. Thankyou to Maya for teaching me to 'Bomba'!!
A special mention needs to go to Saif for making us feel so welcome & offering us great local knowledge & advice. He was brilliant, so friendly & welcoming. We miss him already!
All the Aziza staff are helpful & polite & will do all they can to help you enjoy your holiday.
Outside of the hotel we ventured to the Hammamet medina & to Yasmin Hammamet. Both worth a visit, but expect to be hassled. We also took a trip to Friguia animal park for the zulu night which was fun but slightly overpriced.
We will definitely return to the Aziza. I cant imagine finding a better hotel in Tunisia.

Never been to Tunisia, slightly apprehensive on coach journey from airport but huge sigh of relief as we pulled in to the Aziza. Great first impressions, staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms very nice and very clean. Food very good for all inclusive (didn't get sick of the same stuff as it was all done so well with lots of choice) Waiting staff, all fantastic, so friendly, hard working and good senses of humour.
As we were a group of friends, it was really nice not having to listen to young children shouting and screaming (been there, done that, got my own at home!!) this made it more relaxing and peaceful
Animation team were great but top marks to Malek for looking after us so well and having fun all week- we all missed him when we got home.
Any downsides? Pool bar never seemed to have enough glasses!! and like most peoples opinions that have been to Tunisia, you don't really want to go outside the hotel- its pretty grim!!
Would definitely go back to The Aziza for more of the same, we loved it :)

Just returned home from staying at the Aziza for 14 nights!

From the moment we walked in the door it was amazing, greeted by staff and sat down in the lobby where they bring you a nice cold drink and cold towel to freshen up. Bags were taken to our room by the porter.

The pool is amazing, very big and clean. No problem with sun loungers, had the same spot for the majority of the time we were there. Special mention to Ali, who would always be around the pool area from 5am, offering to help. Entertainment staff were amazing, offering a range of activities which we joined in on, but no pressure to do so. Special mention to Saif who took the time everyday to talk to us all and give some advice on places to go in Hammamet. Beach area is lovely, although we never sat on the beach we went down on the odd day where we went on the catamaran which was included with the package hotel.

Lobby area is very nice to sit and have a drink, although entertainment is lacking in the evening, there is only about 30 minutes of entertainment and the rest is a pianist. We always went next door to other hotel were Saif and others put on comedy, dance and tribute nights. Which was very very good. We also met a bunch of other couples to sit with and enjoy the evenings with them which was nice.

Food was nice, but got a bit repetitive towards the end, a little more choice would have been good.

overall a brilliant holiday, and we loved the Aziza. The staff were amazing.

We are already looking at returning to the Aziza next year!

Room Tip: didn't have a sea room, but would probably be nice!

We arrived early hours of the morning and were surprised to be greeted with a cold drink and a welcome smile never before experienced. Upon arrival at our room we were astonished to find two cold buffet meals laid out an extremely nice touch considering the time of day. Our holiday of ten days has been one of the most pleasurable we have had. Our room was well equipped and laid out, and very spacious. A nice touch was a separate toilet and bathroom. When we reported a small problem with the shower this was sorted very quickly please take note Europe. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard and the cleaning staff went about their business very efficiently and with extreme courtesy nothing seemed to be of any bother to them. As for the food it was very good and there was a wide selection provided at breakfast, lunch and evening meal with some themed meals. The service in both Al la Carte Restaurants was excellent along with the presentation of the food. Amenities were fantastic, the pool area was very well laid out with plenty of trees providing additional shade which was welcome during the heat of the day. Even the sun loungers were of a higher quality than normal. The design of the pool was well thought out also, a nice sloped entry and in the main not too deep. There was also a nice terraced area for sitting outside the main bar area and an additional 'Pub' on the lower ground floor all furnished to a high standard.
We strongly advised exploring the local area, a local taxi ride is an experience in itself, and very cheap. Yasmine Hammamet (South) and Nebeul (North) are worth a visit.
The shop keepers are determined to make a sale especially in the markets so don't be scared of walking away or knocking the price right down. We strongly advise not to take the trains as the service seems to have deteriorated somewhat from what we had read on various internet sites. We did venture to Tunis from a local station but found the trains to be very over crowded and running to somewhat erratic timetables.
But taking everything into consideration we would return again without hesitation a very good value holiday and many thanks to all the staff of the hotel for making our stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: They all seem to be quiet and of good standard

"No children" is the key here, so the hotel was mostly British Dutch and German couples. The pool and gardens are right by a lovely beach and happily there were always plenty of sunbeds, especially on the beach, to be had even for a party of six like ours.
The service, food and drink standards, food variety (from a themed Tunisien restauarant, through an "international" restaurant, to the buffet-style restaurant that was actually our favourite), room quality (including air-con that worked!), and general ambience of the place were up to the standard that you'd expect of a 4 star hotel (albeit I believe advertised by TC as five star according to my wife who booked it), and as a bonus, we paid a lot less (through TC) than I would have expected. You can even change your money at proper rates at the hotel reception (Tunisia is a closed-currency country so you can't take any spare away with you, you have to change it back at the airport so keep your receipts).
Since almost everything was almost perfect, it's probably more useful if I mention what wasn't perfect instead:-
1. It was a bit annoying that apart from the poolside bar, you couldn't get your drinks unless a waiter came and took your order. This inevitably led to you having to wait unless you tipped generously (although the tipping amounts would rarely be for very much).
2. During the day, despite this not being a Magaluf or Zante type of place, the "animation team" would often put very loud so called music on the poolside speakers. My twenty something daughters who were with us couldn't stop giggling at some of the raunchy lyrics though.
3. That's about it really for gripes - I suppose the pool could've had a diving board. I can't think of anything else to "complain" about.
So on the whole a fantastic place to go to chill out for a week or two.
Final tip - in the buffet, where you will have breakfast and can eat in the evening, there is a lovely terraced eating area if you go right through the indoor area. In the morning the sun can be fierce so get one of the tables in the shade of the trees. If you befriend a waiter (and tip him nicely) he might reserve a table for you.

Room Tip: If possible don't just ask for a sea view - some of the rooms at the back of the building also h...

We stayed here from the end of June to 6th july.

Flight was great coming. Arrived at airport got bags and started to walk to the coach at this point we had two men grab our cases and pulled away from us. When we got to the coach other people advised to give the person £2 as a tip. We had to give the men £1 each as we only had that in change. They started to say it wasn't enough. We found this bad as we didn't want our cases taken from us.

Coach was about 45mins. As we got to the hotel we went to our room. Really nice. Separate bathroom to toilet. Spacious with a large bed. The view out to the sea was great. Upgrade to a sea view!

The pool area is good with lots of sun beds to choose from. The pool is great and never gets full. The pool bar could be better. The barman works hard but he is mostly on his own. At the bar you can only get beer win and soft drinks no cock tails or anything a bit different. We found this a bit of a bad point.

The beach is fantastic and is only 2 minutes from your sun bed. The water is clear but it can get very choppy with high waves which is really fun. There is bar on the beach but it didn't seem like anyone ever worked there you can help yourself to water.

Lunch was the worst bit about this hotel. We have been to a lot of hotels and I think this maybe the only one we haven't happy with. we are not fussy when it comes to food but we were just bored of the same old food everyday. The waiter service is great at times but at others some of them just seem to miss you and you can be sat there waiting for a drink for a good 5/10 mins. There needs to be more waiters as they are rushed off there feet. Or a self serve drink dispenser. All we ate for two weeks at lunch was chips pizza and turkey. Or grilled steak which was good on a few occasions.

The animation team were great and really friendly. We are not ones for getting up and doing every game or taking part in everything but the animation team just make it a great atmosphere round the pool. They play music through the day and switch it up so there's a bit of everything.

The pub which opens at 5 is great and you get served as soon as you sit down. The pub was full on most nights as they were showing the World Cup with English commentary.

If your expecting wifi through the hotel you will be disappointed the only place you can get wifi is if you stand at reception. The strength is just good enough to send a message. Forget trying to FaceTime . This needs to be improved.

This was a great relaxing holiday. Which is what we wanted. I don't think we would go back but we did enjoy it.
