For the price we paid this was a little gem. We stayed here bed and breakfast for a fortnight. Located in a nice quiet area. The rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast was very simple - tea, coffee, juice and croissants. We went in search of a cheap beer and good food but found out that you can't really do better than the hotel. The terrace restaurant at the front of the hotel was popular with locals, hotel residents and other holidaymakers alike. There is a dedicated pizza kitchen at the front and you can watch the little guy making yours. All the staff here are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only negative is the pool area. The pool itself is lovely but the area around could do with a tidy up at the end of each day. But we didn't spend much time at the pool as its only 5 minutes to the beach and the gorgeous bay area.

We stayed here after my son took ill on the flight home. The insurance company organised our stay at this hotel. We left the hospital and didn't really know where we were going. We arrived at Les Citronniers and we were made to feel so welcome. All the staff looked after us so well. Wifi in the rooms was excellent and a god send to us. Lots of phone calls put direct through to our room. Nothing was a problem to the staff. The maids made sure we had a clean room and linen every day. Could of done with more variety at breakfast, just croissants and bread available. But the restaurant was fantastic. Some fantastic meals in there. Under our circumstances we still enjoyed our stay here and would return and stay here. Thank you to all the staff that looked after us during our stay.

Very good hotel for someone on the budget. Clean rooms, a bit dated but it doesn't really matter. Very clean, fresh towels every day and bedding changed twice during our week stay. Good size pool. Breakfast a bit poor but that is just everywhere in Tunisia. Poor wi fi reception in certain areas but reception offered ot change our room immediately when complained about it. Good location,in between old and new Hammamet. Short taxi ride to both for 5 dinnar. Very close to their private beach. Lovely beach with good facilities

We visited Les Citronniers Restaurant to meet up with friends whilst staying in Hammamet. We have stayed in this hotel regularly over the last 18 years and dined there over the last couple of years whilst staying elsewhere. We always receive a warm welcome here - the staff are helpful and friendly. It had to be said that this accommodation/restaurant has become very local over the past five years and over a weekend particularly can be rammed to the point where unless you have booked a table you will not get served - thankfully we had booked! The food is excellent value/quality and served with a smile. Not everywhere do you get that. My only gripe is the toilet facilities here ...... on one visit this year the ladies was unusuable which meant I had to beg my way into another hotel en route back to our own to use their toilet! I did complain and they were being cleaned up as we left. On our next visit they were better and the "problem" (sabotage!) had been seemingly dealt with. I just hope that the management here keep an eye on this issue so it is permanently resolved.

We will return to Les Citronniers for meals on future visits.

Room Tip: The score I for cleanliness is based upon the toilet faciltiies and not the restaurant. A score of...

Stayed here, as a couple, in August 2013.
Probably the best 2* hotel I've ever stayed in. Room kept very clean, new linen and towels on regular basis, every 1 to 2 days! All staff, including management, front of house, waiters, chamber maids, cleaners, are friendly and efficient - made us feel welcome / at home.
The restaurant is good - popular with locaqls which is always a good sign - & it is not expensive on local standards, for a Brit it is v inexpensive.
Excellent location with easy access to the beach and dedicated Citronieres beach bar. Parasol & deck chairs free to residents & just 2 dinar for a sunbed. Ust stand outside the hotel and acab will come in minutes - just over 3 dinar to Hammamet centre - or if the mood takes you, to Hammamet Jasmine which is a sort of plastic disneyfied purpose built resort complete with its new 'Old Town' - whatever that could be.
It was firecely hot when I visited but I will certainly be returning sduring sporingtime

Room Tip: I was told that rooms at the front can suffer from noise from the terrace late at night. Didn't...
