3 rd stay in this hotel and the best so far.... Arrived to a speedy check in and was greeted by people we had met previously.. A warm welcome goes far. Room was overlooking pool with a great view with sun all the balcony all day. Food has been great, no queues anywhere as hotel is empty with about 120 guests if that. Service again is excellent and everyone is so polite and friendly. There is building work going on in the hotel but this has not disturbed us at all. So don't be put off. Bit too cold to go swimming in the big pool but the smaller one is heated to a lovely temp. I was a bit worried that it would be really boring with it being winter but the sun has been out all week....not only have we had fantastic weather we have been entertained by the FANTASTIC animation team all week. The team is led by boss man amine who keeps them all on their toes. The boys and girls make this hotel great... They have spend time with all the guests and have a great rappor with both old and young. They try their best to get everyone involved and at this time of year everyone does. A special thank you to Bibo, shaggy, Mira, pepito, Billie, aladin,Dali, and the smallest guy with the biggest heart mario.... And not forgetting the new addition to the team marou...this guy is a total gem..... He's the funniest guy I've ever met...shame you weren't there all week.
If anyone has doubts about this hotel then don't.... You won't regret visiting here.

Just came back from phenicia after two weeks stay first impression not good the porter showed us to our room and thought when he took us down the stairs we was in the basement really dark and cots left in the hallways showed us in one off the rooms that need redecorated which was really dark some lights didn't work hole in the door hairs in the bath my husband went to see someone in reception and said we wasn't happy with the room so he said he would give us one off the new rooms that had been updated which was a lot better those rooms in the basement don't think there should use them at all until they have been done . Got woken up a few times with banging and drilling and fire alarm going off a couple off times all the animation team was fanstatic with my children Mia and Alfie loved them Aladdin ,Mimi Mario , tata do a brilliant job make you feel very welcome waiter's was really kind couldn't do enough for you . Weather wasn't that good while we was there got hassled on the beach people trying to sell you stuff and men with the camels which was a pain really had a trip to the zoo which was great for the kids . Overall hotel is great staff was brilliant lots of choice for food not much to do in the hotel really in jan very quiet really kids got a bit bored and didn't like to go out much outside hotel because you have people hassling you all the time 2 wks was to much to stay there a week would have been Long enough and if you go in jan take some warmer clothes with you

Well like all the other comments on here I shouldn't be informing others just how good this hotel is and like others have said the staff make it what it is.
We are just back from our third visit in nine months and not many guests due no doubt to the renovations which did nothing to spoil our stay. We had a renovated room which was excellent and large. Staff survive on the tips which they get and work hard to provide a good service. I only have to walk in for breakfast and the chef knows what to do and what I want.
They are very eager to provide the best of service and nothing is too much trouble for anyone.
The animation team are very good and put on reduced shows over the week together with a snake charmer.
Some guests were booked in for three months and one for four months so it must reflect that many are very satisfied with whats on offer.
We had a nice relaxing week and together with another couple we met had a week full of laughs. This couple stated that it was the best holiday they had been on.
If folks do not stop giving out all the great times which they and we have had then there will be no rooms left for us to book in the future.
I can only say just what a great hotel this is.

We have just come back from our 11 night stay at Sentido Phenicia in Hammamet. We had a great time (even though it was winter). There are not as many things to do in the hotel in winter which is understandable as most of the guests were pensioners (we are in our 20s) and the hotel was not busy (we thought this was a bonus).

The free wifi is a bonus but the only issue we had was that one day the wifi in the lobby was not working and we asked at the reception and apparently it was only for in the rooms now. We didn't want to have to sit in our rooms to use wifi as you can't speak to other people.

The gym was supposed to be free but we were disappointed to find that in the free "gym" all of the equipment was broken. The other gym you had to pay for per day.

The food was lovely although we were disappointed about the breakfast as we didn't think that there was a whole lot to choose from. Lunch and Dinner, however, were lovely. There was a massive selection of things to choose from and the food was extremely well cooked (desserts were amazing).

The Animation team were brilliant, most of them were our age and they always spoke to us and asked us if we wanted to do activities with them. They were great to get along with and even the older guests sat and chatted with them. The evening shows were good, they are very good dancers and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. We did think though, that it would have been nice for the shows to last a bit longer as they were very short.

There was supposed to be security on the beach to stop locals trying to sell stuff but we were hassled by men with camels offering rides and people trying to sell us stuff. We had to stay at the back of the beach to stop them coming near us.

The drinks were nice but they need to get rid of the paper cups! Maybe plastic ones?

Overall we had a lovely holiday and we will go back again!

Room Tip: If you don't pay for an upgrade then when you reach the hotel have a look at your room and then ask to be changed. It was well worth it to use as the new rooms are far nicer!

have just returned from a weak at this hotel. stayed at this hotel several times ( a dozen or so )
whilst most of the staff are the same brilliant. some of the new staff, in the reception bar, are, nowhere near as good as previous staff .ali Samir etc, whilst I accept there has to be a learning curve, this should not include hiding in the back room, instead of as previous walking both inside and outside on the balcony area, for customers who require service
have not been to the phenicia for about 18 months now after having 2 lots of major heart surgery. so service is very important to me where as previously, I would not even reach the bar before being intercepted by a waiter to be asked to sit down.NOW THAT WAS THE SERVICE I EXPECT FROM THE PHENICIA.
the rest was perfect as always, food both selection, and well cooked. the waiting on staff very attentive as ever
rooms kept spotless as usual
reception forever there to help
I have personally recommended this hotel to at least 20 family/friends would I recommend it in future. I do not know depends on what action is taken to resolve the problem
