If you like your english breakfast then forget this place! The closest it got was hard boiled eggs and sugar puffs. The evening meals were catered mainly for the Tunisian taste, which to a certain degree was to be expected.
The staff were quite pleasant and the rooms were kept clean, although it took us about 3 days to get some more soap that dissapeared from the bathroom.
The first day we arrived my digital camera was stolen from the bar. A great start to the proceedings.
The brochure told us there was entertainment provided, not so! When we all complained a visit from a magician was speedily arranged and several bouts of second rate bingo ensued, just what we wanted, I don't think! The indoor pool was empty and had been so since May apparantly. There was no gym as advertised, either.

The most enfuriating thing about this hotel was that a seedy little local con man was operating daily selling bogus trips to unsuspecting guests as they arrived. All this was done with the full knowlege of the hotel management and blatantly under their very noses. We found most of the Tunisian guest were quite ignorant towards us and some of their eating habits had to seen to be believed!

Aviod this hotel at all costs, Stayed there in late august and never will again, whist the layout of the hotel was fine, its let down by the stalf.

The cleaners didnt clean, towels went missing for 12 hours.
tried to report problems with blocked drains and faulty bath and sink plugs and the reception staff did nothing about it. be wary of using the poolside resurant, the waiter we had messed up the order and gave us the wrong meal when we quiried the bill explaining what we ordered only came to 18 dinars and why was he asking for 25 he had a tantrum and stormed off, later he apeared asking for the drinks money and asking me to sign something, finaly after 20 minutes of trying to explain the situation to the desk staff the problem was somewhat resolved, the staff speak very little english which makes comunication very difficult, what ever you do do not use the poolside toilets as they were disgusting during our visit.with brown liquid on the floor and brown damp toilet paper. also the other problem was the reasturant, the tables were rarely clean even when the resurant had just opened, the food was not labeld and there was no chance of catching a waiter to ask what everything was so you had to try a little of everything just to see what it was, other than that the food was fine, also a warning to halfboard guests you wil be charged for any drinks you have with the meal even if its water!

The bar staff were fine especialy mohamed, as for evening entertainment there was none, ended up getting a few drinks from the off licence acros the road and playing cards in the hotel room

The rep 'John' was fine was usualy around at the designated times, very helpful with booking trips etc, but a bit out of date on the uk phone call costs which was aparently 1 dinar for 8 minutes in reality it was 1 dinar for 1 minute.

overall the resort is excelent but the staff at the hotel need a wake up call if they want uk tourist busines next year.
i cant recomend this hotel to anyone

Green Golf Hotel

In hotel staff very friendly. bedding changed regularly towels everyday. Altho staff friendly a lot do not understand much english. The hotel is spotless an roomy except for the bar. If the hotel was full I dont know where people would go. The entertainment by the animation team (incidentaklly this appears to be one man called TuTu) was absolutely atrocious in fact non existent. until 18 of us complained to the rep - Panorama. this did appear to be sorted by the second week but only entertained by belly dancing and a magician. TuTu had no compere skills and was misssing most of the time. we booked this holiday for evening entertainment and was thoroughly disappointed. The pool was clean but sunbeds had to be paid for but only when the staff decided it was your turn to pay. Now to the food/ Crockery awful and in short supply. Had to keep washing up and restocking. Food the worst i have experienced on holiday/ The only way i can describe it is RECYCLED What was left at dinner was RECYCLED at breakfast. The soups were tasty. The spag bol had no meat in it. It was mostly chicken cheap cuts of lamb and fish every night It was cold with only hot water beneath to keep it hot. Pasta pasta and mashed potatoe that resembled semolina pudding All I can say is NEVER AGAIN. AWFUL! The sweet every night was cake and donuts for evening sweet were brought out 2 days later for breakfast. on the up side there was plenty fresh fruit. Green golfs private beach was caked in a type of seaweed mountains of it 4 foot high in some places and this appeared to stretch all along yasmine beach. there was a tractor and lorry removing this everyday a back breaking job as more appeared to come in with the tide everyday. never ending we thought. it was impossible to swim in the sea as it was deep sludge of seaweed and not at all clear. green golf beach had no sunbeds to lay on. there were a lot of complaints to Panorama rep about everything and we heard on the grapevine that the manager did not want english people to stay 2007 as they were always complaining. Hamamet Yasmine is a beautiful resort opened about 6 years ago, not really finished. Loads of building work going on, but the marina area when finished will be lovely. give it 10 years. Certainly wouldnt go to Green Golf again. We have been to Tunisia before and really loved it so we can make a comparison. Hope this review helpful to you.

I have been to the Green golf on 3 occasions and each time was better than the previous as the staff are very friendly and helpful so they knew just what type of holiday we needed.

The food was excellently cooked but unfortunately there was not a great choice of English food available, but the Tunisian cuisine was excellent.

The cleanliness in the hotel was without fault the maid even sprinkled flower petals over the beds which was a lovely gesture. The towels were changed daily and the sunbeds are easy to get, no early rise to put towels on the beds is necessary.

The animation (entertainment) manager ,Tutu is the most funny and entertaining man that i have ever met he goes out of his way to entertain everybody from the very young to the very old, he impressed us that much that we still keep in touch with him reguarly and intend to go back to see not only tutu but to enjoy the delights of tunisia.

Out and about in Hammamet town is an experience as the Medina is very "hustle and bustle" but once you learn to say no and learn to haggle it can be very enlightening. There are some really nice and inexpensive souveniers to be bought.

Don't forget to take some mozzie cream as there are a few ready to bite!!

Hats off to Panorama for a very enjoyable and value for money holiday!!

Stayed here for seven days over Christmas 2004. The facilities offered are second to none, sauna, steam room (both around £2 for all day), massage, reflexology, a truly luxurious indoor pool(which was as warm as a bath), fabulous outdoor pool. The list is endless.
The staff and I mean all the staff are the best I have ever encountereed. Nothing is too much trouble, no request is unreasonable, they are totally focussed on ensuring the guests enjoy their stay.

FOOD!!! the very worst I have ever experienced, spaghetti bolognese made with cuttlefish instead of beef, fried fish heads, yes fish heads!, cuttlefish stew. When speaking to the staff it appears that `Panorama our tour operator had driven down the price they paid the hotel so low that it was virtually impossible to provide decent food. Panorama pay the hotel £9 per day for room and half board for two people!. The list price for the hotel if you walk in off the street was only £14. Add the cheap awful flight with Mytravel airlines and you see how Panorama make all their money.

Enjoy your fisheads!!!
