Big , beautiful garden.
Sea water pool (VERY GOOD).
Lots of activities.
Enough sun beds for everyone.
Food variety (we've been for 14days, but always there was something new, always something different).

-
Old furnished rooms.
Not very clean rooms / bathrooms.
Staff, always tries to get extra money.
Beach, quite unclean.

Anyway it was nice place to stay for holiday.

I went with my university they travel to Tunisia every year and stay at this hotel among others, this hotel was amazing the staff are very friendly and theres entertainment in the evenings which was very good also the food is very nice and good quality the rooms are basic but it really didnt bother me as the staff make up for it they were very very hospitably and warm. Also the markets there are amazing with so much to choose from and very very cheap currency exchange rate!! Also the spa in the hotel was one of the best i have been to!!!!! So cheap a full body massage that lasted 1 hour for only £15!! With very goog beauty therapists. Very clean hotel also and nice swimming pool. I will definitely be returning!!

We have stayed in Hotel Mediterranee from 27 May until 6th of June 2010, and I there was a big difference between the end of May and the beginning of June. When we arrived, the hotel was half full and quiet, but, as the high season started in June, the number of guests increased dramatically. If you're looking for a calm stay, you better leave before high season starts. Although, to be fair, it was never too crowded on the beach or by the pools or in the restaurant. However, the biggest problem was the lack of soundproof walls and doors.

The most attractive feature of the hotel is the territory, very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. We also enjoyed the pool with sea water, especially when the sea was too cold to swim in.

The service was overall good (reception, restaurant, pool, snack bar), and staff was very friendly and ready to help anytime. Once we had to change rooms and it went very smoothly.

We stayed on a half board basis, and the food was very tasty. For dinner, there was a fair selection of meat, fish, salads, couscous and, most importantly, fresh pastries and fruits. I could not it exquisite but always fresh and well cooked. One suggestion: it would be better if each guest was seated at the certain table to avoid looking for one during the rush hour of dinner.

At the exit of the hotel, there were always taxis available, so we had no problem moving around the area. You can reach the center of Hammamet in 5 minutes, the Yasmine Hammamet area in 15 minutes, Nabeul (where the Friday market takes place) in 10 minutes. Taxis are not expensive.

We have also checked out the thalassotherapy center, and though we didn't take any special treatments, the ones we tried were pleasant and satisfying.

In summary, we were satisfied with our stay, and inspite of the fact that the hotel is rated 3 stars, the experience was closer to a 4 star hotel (at least in Tunisia).

First impression of hotel arrival within the reception was great, although they did manage to make an error in our booking details and decided to put us down as half board rather than the full board we had paid for and only discovered this when we turned up for lunch 2 days later.

The room (2015) is basic and only discovered our own private indoor pool when we entered the bathroom for the first time, although they did manage to fix the plumbing the same day when we reported the cistern leak to the cleaner. The room with the view was not the brill so if you want to stay here expect the same tree forest type view that we had. The beds were changed every day, which was a plus point and although if you want to watch tv in our room whilst in bed our tv was situated in the next room, which seemed pointless. The aircon likes to blow out hotair although it was it not needed in March. It was left on when we arrived and promptly turned it off.

Food was the same pretty much throughout the week and the menu seem to tell us something different from what was actually served. although it was good throughout.

Our first breakfast morning was like challenge Anneka. see if you can locate the tea, toast and everything else that would make a morning breakfast. It was all over the place and it didn't help as the hotel was full that day due to independance day celebrations. It was unorganised chaos. I guess it just getting to know the system.

The Pools were decent and clean, although it was early in the season and were hardly used as they looked if they had just been filled up. Indoor pool was great and because it was early in the season due to the outside pools being on the slightly icy side, although I did manage to get into the larger pool on the 5th day. The gardens were well maintained and the local waiter would come over to see if you needed anything whilst sunbathing around the pool. The Beach bar was great as it was a 2 min trek back to the nearest open bar back at the hotel. The beach itself was cleanish, although did manage to find some broken glass on the beach as with any beach I guess.

The Hotel would not allow guests on site as we had a local friend who is also from england but was staying at another hotel so we ended up going into town rather than staying at the hotel.

The Hotel entertainment was out of this world if you come from england as its not like anything I have had come across, I guess it's a french thing. The Hotel seems to cater for all nationalities, mainly french or italian. If you can only speak english then you may feel a little isolated although action speaks a million languages. Watch out for the MC when he does the otter dance, which is suppose to represent something like applause. The hotel does boast a discotech which the other hotels in the area does not have when we had a tour of the local place during the evening. The disco plays various up to date stuff including UK chart stuff and plays up to when the last person leaves.

The beach sunbeds are free and as with the wifi, The drinks seemed a little more expensive than the competing Hotels, although the cocktails were found to be relative cheaper but not by much. Staff on the hotel were brillant and like to look after you during your stay. I would be tententive if I would recommend the hotel to a friend, although the holiday is what you make it! I had a brillant time here, although with its up and downs.

We booked with Thomas Cook online and got a good family deal considering high season. I did my homework as on a tight budget, school summer holidays and so one. The reviews were mainly good so we traveled with an almost 4 year and and 17 year old.

Hotel/ Staff & Food:
The hotel was charming and the beautiful gardens are lovely and staff was friendly and very helpful with the children. There also is a small Crazy Golf and some animals to look at.
The buffet style food was excellent, any bad reviews and I would tell them to stop at home! If you cannot find anything on the buffet you like you are difficult. Mediterrane / European kitchen with arabic influence - of course cous cous, tunesian traditional food was on the menue every day. there was pasta, great grills, salad bar , big dessert buffet and the ice cream was out of this world.

Children:
The children club was posted on Thomas Cook from 3 year old but when we got there they said it was 5 years, however, our child was still welcome but we did not use the facility often in the day. But every night there is a Mini Disco for the kids we never missed and the evening entertainment was really really good - especially the show musical "Notre Dame" was excellent and the animation guy and his crew were brilliant. My daughter went from dinner to Mini Disco and the "to the show please mummy!" - we all had a great time.

Rooms:
The room was ok as we do not have too high expectations but I would say if you expect 4 beds for a family room you will be dissappointed as only the parental double bed was a real bed and the 2 sleep sites for the kids were mattresses on breeze blocks which were not very comfortable or safe as the beds were higher risen off the floor as a normal bed and my 4 year old fell out of bed a few times so we put pillows from the bed (to make it sofa style) on the floor.

Beach/ Pool:
Very good own hotel beach with sun loungers and parasoles, of course as usual get there early but there is enough oppertunity go lounge at beach or around the beautifully situated garden located pools. There are 3 pools - adult relaxed athmosphere with relax music playing, a fun pool where all the animation takes place and a baby/ childrens pool.

Playground:
We used it only a few times as it is quite shady. However you do realise you are away from home and health & safety was an issue as there were some garden forks/ equipment laying around which were not safe to have your kids playing there but the play ground equipment was in working and safe order.

Location:
A few restaurants/ take aways and little shops to buy essential water, lemonade and postcards are outside the hotel. If you want to go to Hammamet or any other places it is a short and failry cheap taxi ride away. We went to Hammamet and a Camel Market and did a Camel Ride throught the tour operator which was OK - of course typical tourism but you expect that if you book this.
All in all we had a whale of a time and would come again and recommend it for anyone on a budget as you get a good deal!
