Review of Kasbah of Hammamet

Reviewed 4 May 2014

If you want to shop, this is the place to do it, but hope you don't mind being bothered by the shop owners as if you stop to look, they try and get you in, but you can always barter with them, as you will virtually always get it for 1/2 the price or less than what they initially asked for.

Amazing views across the sea, beach and town from the top of this. Probably great if you are into the archaeology and history but not much to see inside otherwise.

Fantastic place to start your visit of the medina : the great view of th city itself and the sea really gives an idea of its situation. The site is globally well maintained, however, there is little explanation to be had about it apart from several signs in a small room. If you're looking for bits about the city, these are enough, otherwise, you might have to look elsewhere. Amazing views, though !

700 year old heritage, i went on friday for Jummah prayers inside Kasbah mosque but could not wait around due to little man growing impatient, nice bit of tunisian culture,,,stall traders can be intimidating, but i've seen worse, just smile and ignore them..walk pass unless they make an offer that you cannot refuse!!

this is what is left of the wall and fort of hamamet, there is nothing much about it, you can climb a couple of stairs to reach the top area where you can get a good view of the medina and the sea but nothing more
