“Great value for the price paid”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Booked quite late for a week break in the middle of June. Not our main holiday and therefore, wanted value for money. First trip abroad without our children who stayed with grandparents. From the moment we checked in and the lady on the reception, with a mischievous grin, referred to my wife as 'Mrs Humper', I knew this was going to be a good break! (Our surname is Humphreys by the way - so not offended - perhaps a language problem or perhaps she could read my mind....?).

Hotel doesn't look much from the outside but inside was clean and tidy and our room had been refurbished. Pool area was small and peaceful (outside of school holidays!) and there were plenty of sunbeds all day long. No problem getting drinks and bar staff very friendly.

Food was of good standard and there was a reasonable choice. I have been to plenty of hotels where there is more choice but this was more than adequate for even the fussiest. Service was very good at the all the bars and restaurants and staff were eager to please. A small tip along the way certainly helped but was not expected.

Private beach was quite strange as you had to go outside of the hotel grounds and across the road. Not fenced off but seemed quite secure. Beach bar for refreshments and sandwiches made to order at lunchtime. White sand was very pleasant and would be ideal for young children.

All in all, a very pleasant trip and a hotel that was well worth the money. In my opinion, in life you generally get what you pay for. In this case, I think we got better value than we paid for. Well worth a visit.

On arrival at hotel 11.30pm, rushed into dining room given a 'warm' salad one small piece of chicken, bread no butter and one bottle water no coffee offered or welcome drink in room.
Dress code although greeted by staff on entry to dining room was not adhered to. Guests wore shorts vest t shirts (Men and women alike).
Entertainment - lacking in variety and length of time.
Bar closed at 12 nowhere to get even a coffee, no facilities in rooms .
Conflicting info given regarding local currency.
Location was ideal.

It's the first time our family had been away on a fully inclusive holiday. The flight from East Midlands was easy and relatively quick. Waiting for the bus to leave at the airport in Tunisia took a while, but this was due to fewer staff on immigration and lots of flights in. However, we still arrived in time for a quick lunch and a full afternoon relaxing on the beach and by the pool.

The entertainment (animation) guys were brilliant. Not pushy at all, and my two daughters loved every activity. We didn't go on any trips but instead took a taxi to the (real) medina in Hammamet North. We also went quad biking and jet skiing. All wonderful fun. My wife enjoyed 3 mornings of the spa and we all thoroughly relaxed.

The pool is brilliant, and the small slide fun. Water aerobics and water polo is good fun also. The beach is good. Water warm and a welcome break from the hotel/pool.

The food and service was amazing. We have never been anywhere with so many fantastic salads. With the inclusive option we did have some opportunities to eat at other restaurants but it really wasn't worth it. The hotel food was consistently superb.

Our younger daughter had her birthday during the holiday and the animation staff and restaurant staff were great. Our table was prepared with rose-hearts, with a cake and song later on!

At the end of the week we'd actually spent very little money, and what we did spend all went on pampering and activities. We didn't have to think about anything apart from how to enjoy each day and relax. That was worth every penny..

Room Tip: We had seaview rooms 2051 and 2052. Both were quiet. Even though the entertainment does go into t...

On arrival staff was very helpful and offered us food and drinks despite it being around 2am! Our rooms were immaculate, very big and lovely views from our balcony. The pool area was beautiful and the pool water was very clean, everything in the hotel was spotless! Animation team was great, very inclusive to everyone and encouraging, poolside activities were fantastic! Couldn't fault any of the food we had, plenty choice for all tastes! The beach was a perfect distance and there was a wide range of activities available there suitable for all ages, yet again food in the beach snackbar was great! Overall we had a wonderful time at this resort and will return in future, staff was lovely, hotel was beautiful and immaculate! No faults what so ever!!
