We have just returned from one weeks stay 5 adults and one child and I can honestly say after reading the reviews both before and after I think a lot of these have been very harsh. Our experience was good the rooms are basic but perfectly serviceable and we found the food varied and more than adequate. We found something different to eat every day. The crepe stand and fresh pizza from the pool sides bars served well for snacks and the restaurant provided different foods each night. The culture is about tipping but this is to be expected Nd we tipped the waiter at the beginning and end of the holiday and were very well looked after - same with the cleaners. When you walk past the shops the staff are keen to get you in the shop but a simple no thank you stopped any harassment. Had a fantastic massage and would recommend this as very cheap and very good. Used the jet skis and para gliding on the beach again very good and very cheap. The Animation team do a fantastic job and the Thomas cooks reps particularly Moez who helped us when my son had an accident at the water park was amazing. All in all we would we would both recommend to others and certainly go back. Oh and also wanted to mention the jewellery shop on site who we purchased a number of handmade bespoke items from who were attentive and really friendly. You do get what you pay for its a 3 star hotel it we all agreed if the rooms were updated it could easily be a 4 star. Go with an open mind and remember you are in a different country and different culture if you want 5 star service then you will need to pay for it.

Room Tip: We had rooms 3312, 3301, 3314 we had amazing pool views and would recommend this block!!

Now let me start by saying were not posh just a normal working class family 3 bed semi 2 kids a dog and a vauxhall, so about as average as you can get. Also let me say we didn't have a bad holiday here 6 of us went and we made the best of a not so good situation. We stayed 10th-24th august so right in the peak of high season hotel was full to bursting.

Rooms...
Yes there dated and could really do with upgrading but there kept clean and are adequate for what there needed for.

Staff...
Main front of house staff not so good but its the little people who are normally forgotten that make your stay bearable, Our cleaner was fantastic didn't speak a word of English, but was always happy to try communicate, always had a big smile and kept our room spotless.

Food...
Not good we really struggled here, very repetitive after about 4 days we all started to struggle and by the last few days of a 2 week holiday could hardly face going to eat.

Trips...
Its cheap we did lots, Quad bikes (man on beach) Great few hours out our boys loved this. Camel trip my favourite the off site staff on this trip really try to make this special laughs all day. Then they make bread and salad very yummy well worth a go. We did reps night this was a long drive 1 hour 20 mins on way there 45 mins on way back??? still don't understand why but all in all a good night out. We went horse riding at the on site stables horses very lazy so great for kids, think even a bomb up there bum wouldn't make them trot lol. Pirate ship again staff on this trip try to make the effort and give everyone a good day out. Watersports on beach ace!!! we did something most days water banana water donut jet skis paragliding we did it all and all crazy cheap about £3 a pop.

Pools...
This hotel has a fantastic outside area well worth 4-5 stars Ok you need to be up early if you want a sun bed on pool edge but some mornings it was 10am when we went down and still managed to get some a few meters back from pool. Still able to watch kids easy.

People...
Now this is where is gets sad!! Its not the hotel the food or the staff that ruin this place its the cheap prices that attract (sorry) cheap people. Proper benefits tattooed loud lazy want every thing for nothing idiots. I never realised income support went that far and UK really needs to look at its benefits system. The drinks are not watered down there just not the same as tins of tenants super!! Parents very drunk by lunchtime kids running riot day and night. Drunk people abusing staff no wonder they dislike us british if thats the type they get to meet. I witnessed a man having a go at reps as to why trips wasn't all inclusive?? complaining he had only bought £200 spending money!!!. I have to say its the first holiday I've had where I've been ashamed to be british.

After a conversation i had (won't say who) i was told that next year this hotel will be having a full refurbishment the prices will of cause go up along with its stars. Maybe that will cut out the type of people this hotel attracts!! Would i go back?? yes 100% after refurb i would but until then i will take my holidays away from Birmingham benefits St thank you

Reading most of the reviews I must admit to being a little worried., but to be honest some of the things people have said are spot on. The resort is huge and very friendly. The staff can't do enough for you.
The accommodation. Though is a different matter. It's very basic and our bathroom. In room 1219 is in shocking state. With broken toilet and very run down sink and bath. But it is serviceable. The rooms are pretty basic but clean. The pools are fantastic and my 3 kids are loving them along with the waterpark.
The food is plentiful and the staff amazing.
On one very important not. When arriving at the airport. You will need to fill out visas. These were not given to us on the plane and knew nothing about doing this until we were almost at the front of immigration. So had to question up again which took ages. So you will need to make sure you pick them up off a central. Station in arrivals hall. I think this is something the travel companies should forward you of.
All in all its a good family resort with plenty to do.
Tipping is customary here but a little goes a long way and they are happy with either sterling or dinars.

Rubbish !! If your looking for a good cheap deal, don't bother. We were put in a family room with a connecting door, which was ok but was disturbed in the night by the room next door having sex. Lots of people just there for a cheap piss up holiday.
