My partner & I stayed here for a week in late May.
From the moment we arrived we knew it was not 4*, more like 3*. The whole place needs a makeover it isn't totally like the pics we saw when we booked it & we were v disappointed with our room. The majority of the hotel has a bit of a tacky feel to it and we definitely would not stay there again. About 50% of staff were nice, the rest not so much- rude, lazy and unhelpful. But we did not let this ruin our trip me being pregnant for the first time also my partner proposed to me whilst we were there. The beach was beautiful, we truly loved that and was our fav place to be as the pool areas aren't great.
We tipped the maids who cleaned our room everyday yet they never done anything special for us or seemed to appreciate our generosity. On the last day we discovered money - English noted missing from the safe !! We told reception they were trying to blame us so we got management involved they also did not want to help or take any responsibility they did not offer to call the police or ask staff - we weren't accusing anyone but feel we could have been a lot more fairly treated. We're very honest people and luckily whoever stole the money didn't take the whole lot. The way the manager dealt with this issue was appalling and clarified for us never again! Most of the staff seem money grabbing though, the only friendly ones were the beach and pool bar men. I won't get started on the food, one word VILE.

Choose this resort as we were holidaying with our youngest son, (9) we were told by co-op travel & Thomas Cook it was fun packed and loads of entertainment for him. We went for 2 weeks.
Good bits. Hotel clean, grounds clean, food average, several pools including slides all nicely laid out. Beach in front of the hotel clean white sand.
Ok, now the disappointing bits. Entertainment, hmm! Lots of young staff employed to entertain but they spent most of the time in packs together. They seemed to do a club for very young ones or 'water polo' aqua aerobics' , step aerobics for adults but no entertainment for aged 8 - 14. The resort was geared up for the German market and most of the people staying we're German.
We were largely ignored unless we tipped staff constantly.
Trips. Warned straight away by TC rep to only use them for trips out which became expensive. Nothing else to do, no where to walk out of the hotel , beach beyond hotel is dirty as is beyond the hotel walls. Fly tipping everywhere, hassling constant.
Tunisia is a complete mess, armed police everywhere and void of any beauty. If you are going to see beautiful scenery or soak up a culture DONT.
So to sum up, if you just want the sun and pool great hotel for 5-7 days, anything beyond feels like your serving time in the sun. Don't bother going out of the hotel, unless you enjoy hanging out at your local recycling centre with hassling Tunisians !!

Ok, so when reading this please be open minded about the review, this was our first holiday as a family 2 adults 3 children 9,4&2
First the positives.... The hotel was clean always! Even the section of beach with the hotel was clean, the room we had was a family room and had plenty of space for us, it was the old building facing the aqua park, not a bad view to be honest, the room was cleaned daily and towels changed ( put in bath to request new ones) there is a safe and a mini bar ( coke and water on arrival) a little loud at night until aprox 2300 but it is music from the next hotel along, so can't really be helped.
The staff are friendly can't complain, think the reviews about the staff are unfair, ok a few have basic English but your not in England! The animation (entertainment) staff are fab! Always there saying hello and seeing how you are, they are fantastic with the children and yes they do walk about asking to join in games but if you say no, then that's it they won't ask again,
The catering staff again can't complain always clearing your plates etc they work hard for little money,
The bar staff are a little hit and miss, sometimes the express barman was grumpy, but laugh it off and carry on,
The food was ok, there is an outside grill and pizza station, they always have chips,
The food was overall ok, we ate all week no problem, be we are of an open mind and try new things. The pizza and sandwiches at express bar are lovely, as is the pasta at the pool bar!
The beach is lovely, plenty of loungers, a bar with food, and shade if needed
The pools all have lots of us beds too, clean and easy to just lie chilling out

Ok so now our bad points, some are just picky
The mini bar isnt stocked up, so ask for more water at the bar
There's no icecream station!! (Promised the kids so disappointed on that one)
The pools are freezing!! The sea was actually hotter ( didn't stop the kids too much but favoured inside pool)
There is no deep/ shallow signs by the pool and the slide pool was very deep and again freezing, ( hubby used once with 4 yr old and was shocked apron entering the water)
The beer is weak and cocktails, well..... Watery milk and vodka is not a cocktail! The outside bar cocktails even worse!
The kids club, security seems a bit laxy daisy, we only signed the kids in once and although we said they could walk back to us them selfs there was no session timings so the kids and come and go, there was only two outside activities the whole week and the kids got bored of face painting, this said my 9,4 and there pal 11 loved the staff, Bob in particular was fantastic with the kids and even when not working made time for the kids. With some improvements the kids club would be fab, wouldn't leave smaller children there.
Myself, husband and baby managed to have severe d&v whilst there, we are not sure what exactly caused it possibly something we ate/ drank/ pool water? However we saw the doctor and although was pricy it worked a treat.
We made some fab friends and between us we made the holiday fun for the children and ourselfs, would I stay again? Yes with my husband, no with the children, ( although they would)
I would recommend the hotel however go with an open mind, don't read to much and think it's awful because it isn't, the hotel as just re opened after a year closed, once the hotel sorts out a few little problems I would defiantly say 4* untill then its a 3*
Travelled 24th-31st may

Room Tip: Hotel rooms seem smaller then the older building, Sea view is great but need to be high, wouldn't want a sea view at lower lever, Older building, rooms big, we'll decorated and although we faced the aqua park it was not noisy in the day

My husband myself and our 11 year old daughter have just got home after a week at the One Resort, overall, although we had a good time,in general I have to say it was just about ok. We arrived at around 1.30 am on the Sunday morning so check in was quick and to the point. We were left to find our room after a vague wave in its general direction. We stayed in a basic 3 bedded room in the old block, which was ok and more than adequate for the amount of time we spent there. The 'double'bed was actually two singles pushed together, with a single sofa bed for our daughter to sleep on. The bathroom was ok,not particularly swish but the shower was lovely and powerful,so much so that I flooded the floor on my first use! The main buffet restaurant was big with a good choice of dishes for every meal. The bread section always had a great selection of fresh bread and roll etc and there was always plenty of salad and in the morning there was the nicest selection of pastries and croissants. Yeah, you had to queue for fresh orange juice, but so what? You're on holiday so what's the hurry?? The sunbed situation wasn't too bad. There were always a few dotted around the various lawns surrounding the water slides and the kids pool, but if you wanted to get round the 'main' pool with its comfy wooden matressed beds then you did need to get up early,or in my case have a husband who is used to getting up at 5.30am to go and put towels down!. The pools looked lovely and inviting but were all absolutely freezing, even the indoor pool. The splash pool under the slides was so deep and cold that they weren't well used from what we could see. Our daughter had a few go's but it was just too cold to be enjoyable which was a shame. The beach was good fun and we spent a couple of days there. The sea actually seemed warmer then the pools somehow which is saying something! As I said overall we did have a nice time,we made some good friends and had a lot of laughs! The main negatives were the absence of ice creams for the kids around the pools/beach,we have been to lots of all inclusive resort and we found this very unusual. The drinks were fine unless you wanted a cocktail, they were only made in the lobby bar and all tasted pretty much the same whatever you had. A tip we came away with though is that milk 1 ice cube and vodka doesn't a piña colada make!! The weather was mostly hot and the food was mostly nice if sometimes a little random. I'm not sure if the resort deserves its 4 stars at the moment, there were just too many little jiggles which hopefully can easily be tweaked. A holiday is often what you make it,we had a good laugh, braved the freezing pools and tried some cocktails .the bottom line is would we go back? Hmm I'm honestly not sure.

What a fantastic holiday the hotel was absolutely fabulous the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to help you the enjoyment team were great to especially Buba and Chicho they were very talkative and really helped is even when it wasn't something to do with the entertainment always happy to help like the rest of the staff there.
The facilities at the hotel were great and it was nice to be able to log onto Wi-Fi there is a mini fridge and a safe in your room which is free to use along with air conditioning the hotel was very clean and there was a wide choice of food cooked to a very high standard.

There is a wide mix of different cultures and languages at this hotel including Germans Russian Dutch and French which was nice as everybody really got along well together.

I honestly can't find anything to complain about everything was lovely and we really enjoyed our week away i'm looking forward to returning in the future.

Thank you to all the staff at One Resort.
