Just returned on sat 28th june from me and my wifes first visit to Tunisia. After picking the andalous out from TripAdvisor reviews we were not disappointed. Just looked at someone's reviewcalling it holiday fromhell all I can say is she must have been one of those people that goes on holidayjust to nit pik rather than enjoy the holiday. We arrived early hours to be met at the entrance by a pleasent porter who took our cases, the reception wasted no time in checking us in.the price for the safe was 28 dinar for the week and not 60 like the moaning nit piker said. room very spacious cleaned every day.pool area very clean cleanbeach towels everyday if you want nice clean beech.food pleanty of choice, my wife is avery fussy eater , but even she found something to eat every meal time. The staff really make this hotel what it is, nothing is too much trouble for any of them, they always have a smile for you and say hello.a special memention goes to kim who looked after us with the sunbeds every day, also the animation team who work so hard , Samuel what a cool guy, also the team ask you to join in games, but if you say no they dont pester you.all in all this hotel is well worth the money we paid for a week all inclusive , if we go back to tunisia in the future we would not hesitate in booking the andalous FAB......

Somebody called it a Hell Hole, Don't know were they stayed but it certainly was not the Andalous.
My wife, sister-in-law and myself had a smashing two week holiday at this hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. No trouble with reception when we checked in, given our forms to fill in as normal and a drink in coffee lounge and told to take them back to reception desk from were we were given our room number and key card and the porter took our cases to our room.
Nobody held there hand out for a tip but we always tipped anyway. Waiting staff were always friendly and we could always find a table.
Last but not least was the animation team, They were out of this world, how they kept going working from ten in the morning untill eleven in the evening i will never know. Katey was exceptional, such a lovely warm person. Thanks. Oops, How could i forget YES PLEASE in the bar, how does he keep all those drinks oreders in his mind

Room Tip: Our room was good. We did not spend a lot of time in it but had every thing that we required, safe,f...

Think Nicola S must have been staying at a different hotel!
We returned yesterday after a week at this hotel on All Inclusive basis. Can't agree with anything she said.
Every member of staff was courteous, friendly, hard working and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
We were never asked for a tip by any member of staff. None of them even lingered as a hint!

Variety and choice of food was amazing, from every conceivable salad and hot dishes to pastries and fruit. Breakfast was a myriad of choice, with cereals, fruit, beautiful bread of any type, pancakes, cooked food.etc So much choice at every meal. Choice of drinks was wide ranging.

Yes, the hotel needs a bit of tender loving care, the carpets in the corridors need renewing or removing, some of the outside walls are crumbling, but that is me nit picking.

Pool and paddling pool were always clean. Area around these kept spotless.
Beach beautiful and beachside bar fabulous.

Hotel next door is obviously, as the description suggests, next door. A hedge and pathway separates the two hotel gardens.

We had a lovely cooling drink upon arrival and the forms were collected within minutes.

We were very impressed and will recommend and return.

This hotel has something for everyone - all ages - from rest and relaxation to full on selection of activities. There seemed to be a lot of guests whilst I was there but somehow it was never crowded - there was always an empty table in the restaurant or bar. The animation team were excellent and seemed to work at least 12 hours a day offering a different activity or competition roughly each 30 minutes. In the evening their various shows were amazing and often hilarious.
The rooms are spacious and oh so clean with basic toiletries and towels supplied. The safe is in the wardrobe (a few TD's to get it operative via reception) and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. The only thing that would perhaps improve things is a tea/coffee making facility in the room. Each room is accessed by an electronic swipe card. Beach/pool towels and sunbed mattresses are free from the kiosk near the pool.
AI buffet style meals offer so much choice there cannot be anyone who remains hungry at any time.
There is a gorgeous jewellers near to reception - resist if you can!!! A tobacco, gift and toiletries shop just down the steps. Outside near the pool are 3 more shops selling gifts, coats and galabayas.
Money can be changed in reception - just a few dinar each day is all you need as you have to give it all back on your return to the airport anyway.
My tip would be - book the VIP lounge for your return departure. No queuing whatsoever and you are treated like royalty.
Any questions, ask away. I will only be busy packing for my next trip next September.

just returned and looking to return next year.
Room, food, drink, staff and location all superb.
2 weeks relaxing in a splendid hotel.
Be aware, more suitable for people looking for a quiet, stress free holiday.
Loud, drunken, party animals need not apply, as they say.
Would suggest, as others have, giving small tips to your waiter, bar staff, pool man and room cleaner.
They all do a fantastic job and the hotel management should be proud of them.
Only one very small complaint, if you like a specific area to sunbathe, pool or beach, set the alarm clock to beat the sunrise and the bed blockers, including British.

Room Tip: sea view rooms are worth that little bit extra. We were in 291 and had a good view of pool, restaura...

Well where do I start with my holiday? We were in Tunisia for four nights on All inclusive basis. This was our first trip too, but wanted to go somewhere, where we hadn't been before. I booked the holiday through Thomas Cook - Flexitrips from Feb 14.
The flight from Heathrow Terminal 4 is roughly 2 and half hours, food was ok on the flight but there is no in flight entertainment.
There was a strike when we arrived at Tunisia and had to wait over an hour for our luggage. Apparently this is normal and can happen at any moment.
We had transfer booked and the drive form the airport to the hotel was over an hour, this depends on what airport you come in from as other people said that it took from 20 minutes - roughly an hour like ourselves.
On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff who were warm and friendly and they gave us water and sandwiches.
Our room was nice and spacious, very very clean; after awhile we tried to get our Air Con working - pressed and fiddled with the buttons and ensured that the doors were closed (room door and balcony door). It still weren't working and called reception, someone came up immediately and fixed it.
The staff went the extra mile to ensure that my birthday and our stay was perfect. We booked a massage and received a free face mask and the onsite shops were definitely worth every penny, things were very cheap. Very close to the shops there was a free bus ride that would pick you up from the hotel and take you into town and drop you off again.
My boyfriend had surprised me and ordered flowers to be sent to our room, they were beautiful fresh roses.
The food was lovely and the service and value were outstanding, the entertainment staff worked hard around the clock and entertained us all every day!
Entertainment staff names - Emily, Jamaica, Adbel, Samuel (sorry I can't remember the other names and sorry for spelling mistakes) But you guys made my birthday extra fun! Thanks for the T-Shirt.
Overall I was very impressed and will be returning again next year.

Having stayed with my partner and mum at the Diar El Andalous in February, we were pleasantly surprised. It was our first trip to Tunisia and we weren't sure what to expect, after an amazing holiday we have already booked to come back in July this year! Our hotel room view was fantastic with lovely spacious rooms! The entertainment staff were amazing and made our holiday such good fun! The location and food was also brilliant. I am so excited to go back and would recommend this holiday to anyone! See you soon Diar El Andalous!!!!
