“Packed to the rafters”

Acqua Palace Water Park
Reviewed 13 August 2014

Not a bad water park but is absolutely packed with locals and other holidayers. Big queues and long waits.

The Waterpark cost 30 dinar (approx £10), fairly small park but great for a half day trip. Nicely set out and very clean. Kids and adults loved it.

After booking through Thomas Cook, we arrived and skipped straight past the queue.

The park has 6 big slides, 3 of which require a boat (although 1 of these was closed the day we went). Queues for the rides with boats were very long as it was busy so we only went on these once. Other slides, queues weren't too bad although some locals were skipping straight past everyone queuing- keep your elbows out!

The lazy river and wave pool were great fun and at 3 o'clock there was entertainment in the form of dancing in the main pool.

Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Security walking round who advised us to keep any expensive belongings with us! (Luckily 1 of us is a non swimmer so stayed with our things) lockers are provided in the changing rooms for a price.

Photographers are around the park and take some stunning pictures for 5 dinar.
Food and drink is very cheap. If you don't like spicy sauce- stay away from the baguettes as they were very hot!

Only 1 thing to be wary of - did have my bum squeezed a couple of times in the wave pool by a young local - one stern look was enough to scare him away!

Had a great day at the park and then walked to the Medina (5minutes walk away) before catching the train back to Sousse! Highly recommend for a day out!

We had a great time at the Acqua Palace, but I would recommend you get there at 1000 because it gets really busy. Food and drink was really cheap there too.
