hi i stayed at the merhaba hotel aweek ago and before i left england i read the reveiws on this paige.I thought i had made a mistake by choosing this hotel, but i did not.I was looking for cheaper hotel and found one. the hotel is near to the main road but so are 85 percent of the other hotels.the rooms are basic but clean the staff are freindly and help you if they possibly can.The food is basic but you have a good selection of salads and such like.if go fully inclusive it is cheaper to eat at the hotel than to eat out.The beach is only cross the road which is handy not having walk for miles.Traverling to centrium is simple just step on a 101 or a number 1 bus and you are in the thick of the action, the town centre for just 2 lira.I enjoyed my stay at the merhaba hotel and would recomend this hotel for those who are looking for a quiet relaxing time.

We stayed in this hotel for one week. The smell of room was like mould, bed sheet smell also like mould, and when we opened closed we never opened it again. The food was terrible. Cooks didn't know what meat they were serving. The hotel staff was watching us, all the time in restaurant, they took plates half finished. Last day we poisoned with food and vomit all night and day, but they didn't care. Music was repeating all days. But anotherhand barmens serviced was good, still don't go there.

I stayed here for one week. For the price I paid it was definatly value for money. The rooms were basic but everything there. The cleaners were great everyday the rooms were cleaned. The staff all friendly and although the hotel on a busy main road it facing the beach front so great to go to beach as only have to cross the road. Bars, restaraunts all along the road but if u walk further about 15 mins you will come to the town with more shops, bars, restaraunts. As you are walking the beach front is still there for absolute miles so the location is just great. Good buzz but beautiful scenery too

I want to thank merhaba hotel for a great visit. From the very first they, I felt at home. The staff is polite and very helpfull. My room was classy and clean and it had a lovely balcony with a view to the pool area and the garden. The food is great and varied and I enjoyed the nice service at the bar doing the whole visit. The waiters where kind and easy to start a conversation with. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and i look forward to come back next time. I can recommend Merhaba Hotel for anyone that looks for a nice and calmed vacation in Alanya.

Well where to begin. Location is pretty good,in relation to the beach its ideal, directly across the main road and the proximity of the beach is the only highlight of this hotel. Rooms were small, dated , yet where cleaned adequately, seem to be done every two days. Pool is decent, always clean. Sun loungers were available most days even though our international friends generally sneak out with the towels during the night to gain the prime spots.
Thats the positives. The all inclusive , around the drinks is nothing short of a joke. running out of beer, daily, vodka always ran out, as often did the coca cola. You were not allowed to get a drink for anyone else, and the glasses were plastic and tiny.Felt sorry for the boys on the bar, who would try to be fair, alas this stopped when the owner arrived daily and sat monitoring proceedings from behind his newspaper. They had a massive problem on you requesting a drink if they deemed that you had recently had one, was laughable. The overseer , Ali, was a sneaky, unpleasant man, he was warm on day one, moving in to sell trips, fish night dinners etc, then boom, he would turn very nasty indeed, aggressive and even overtly violent . This man should not be working in a hotel, fact. None of the few Brits here liked him one bit. He snarled and was a nasty pest, final day,he ran up to me, scissors in hand and aggressively grabbed my hand and cut of the All inc band, taking real pleasure in this. Food was just about bearable, i am a very easy going dinner, there was always something i could eat, lacked quality and variety though. Lots of other guests had major issues with the food,as it was often the same offering from the lunch to evening meal. No entertainment at all. Lights out round pool seating area on the dot, 11pm left in darkness. Not many Brits here. Alanya is a beautiful place, yet the Hotel Merhaba is a bit of a sh.t hole, wont go back.

Room Tip: Better off in your room , than in the presence of Ali the aggressor ..

One terrible place. They put me in room on the top floor, it was like 40 C in room. Our room was looking toward east, so it was so so hot, isolation was bad, it was trouble sleeping there even at night. Drinks were fine, but bar works till about 10pm, cant remmember exactly, it was 2 years ago. Food was terrible, terrible! We had meat 2 times for 12 days, once for lunch and once for dinner. We visited Mc Donalds almost every day. On those days when meat was on menu, menager of the kitchen (not masterchef), man in suit, was watching what and how much we take for meal, and if we put on plate more food, and if he thinks we wont be able to eat it, he comes and yells somethning on you on turkish and bad english. Mosquitos ate us alive, it was terrible. but luckily we bought something vs them in local store. The only good thing it was that beach is right across the street. And its 2* hotel, not 3*, like our agency told us. We paid a lot for that junk hotel, we were hungry all the time.

We arrived at the hotel at around 1 in the morning after traveling for 2 hours in a mini van, Just so you know, Don't be shocked at how they drive in Turkey, They literally don't give a crap about driving carefully, Thankfully we were ok though haha! When we got to the hotel, we checked in but there seemed to be a problem with our rooms, only 1 had been put on the system so we had to wait for around 30 minutes to get it fixed, The staff there didn't actually explain to us what was going on, We had to guess. We were finally given our room keys, the man who owned it I think carried our bags to the rooms and helped us in. The rooms were very basic but seemed to be clean, 2 single beds with fresh bedding and towels and a working telly. The water was cold to start off with but after asking someone it was hot within about 20 minutes of asking. The pool was alright, but as someone else has mentioned due to the trees and things the sun was blocked out apart from the odd patch around the side of the pool, While we were there we got covered in mosquito bites every night, I think this may be due to the greenery.
The food at the hotel was pretty awful, From looking at the hotel website and reviews I thought it was a buffet type thing but it wasn't. We were like the only guests there, when we left we were the last ones out before the hotel shut down so the food was served to us at our table instead of being able to help our selves. It was the same every single day, Breakfast was some omelet with a choice of bread, salami and cheese which we could help our selves to and we had hot drinks at our disposal and some form of juice that tasted like perfume, Dinner was cold salad, soup, a mixture of some cold stuff and then a plate of hot food, normally rice or chicken, Tea was the same as dinner basically.
As for the staff, we found them to be pretty polite, they were friendly and greeted us in the mornings and when myself and my friend rolled in at 2 in the morning they laughed and wished us good night, the cleaners weren't very talkative but they seemed ok. The towels were only meant to be recycled every 3 days but if we asked we got them, Beds were always made when we came back to the rooms.
We has not entertainment of any sort, it was just a place to eat and sleep. If you're looking for entertainment, I really recommend walking out of the hotel and turning right and there lots of bars and a few shops if you keep walking in a straight line, We found that Caspers bar just 5 minutes away was very lively, lots of fun and entertainment available, Staff were absolutely lovely and the food was really nice as well! 2 down from Caspers is Yazminas, The staff there were also very friendly, The drinks everywhere in Alanya are very expensive 25tc (Lira) for a cocktail but if you barter they will more than likely bring the prices down! Myself and my friend favored Yazminas where as my parents went to Caspers, Both are equally as good! Really recommend them! The beach is also directly across from the hotel, Nice clear seas and friendly atmosphere! Recommend getting on a bus just outside the hotel and going into the main city to shop!
Overall we had a nice holiday and got what we paid for, It wasnt the best hotel and we more than likely wouldnt go back unless we went half board or something but it was terrible !
