Beware when you ask dolmus driver for dim cave or cavern as we were taken right past the dim cave sign and asked to stay on the bus where we were taken back to our starting point and told to wait for another bus . What we did not know was driver thought we wanted water park which is very similar when asking for dim cave . water park is pronounced "dim choy"

We combined the visit to Dim caves with Sapadere canyon, brilliant day, both places are amazing, not like some tourist traps (Managvat falls). Both places are not very crowded, for some reason touroperators avoid bringing large groups there even though some of the tours we took with them were much less interesting. We rented a minibus, so sharing between 10 people it costed us $14 each with gasoline included. Both places were easy to find though we had an unexperienced driver and very basic paper map.

This is the place to go if you like nature experiences. Lovely and harmony feeling inside the caves. Dim Caves are very big (long) and deep down. Much to see.

If you have difficulties to walk, dont go. There is plenty of stairs inside mountain. And hot air, take water with you.

You can go there by bus or taxi. From Alanya city Its about 10 km to the mountains.

There is also little Dim Cavern at Kleopatra beach, just in city. This is maybe better place to go, if you have little children. You can see something special, but its small enough that kids can concentrate on.

a lovely wander underground through fairytale landscapes, made all the more intriguing by the lack of tourist parties. We were the only ones there while visiting, and the caves were well lit and atmospheric. A recorder player on one of the landings added to the feeling of unearthliness. The caves were well lit and had stunning rock formations. Not suitable for disabled visitors. The restaurant also did a lovely reasonably priced lunch. A bus runs up the road from the main dual carriageway to the caves about once an hour (It ran rigth past our hotel) and we discovered, too late for us, that many of the restaurants on the river below run a free courtesy service from restaurant to caves and back. A delightful day
