Very nice and cool place when outside are very hot. Lots of stalagmitis and stalactitis. But the price is not cheep for that!

“Short but okay experience”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

We're located in walking distance from the Cave, so glad we went there and got some cool pictures from inside. But if we had joined a travel agency and payed for transportation from fare away I would have been disappointed. We were lucky and not many people when arriving, so we could walk directly in there and shoot some photos and out again. But on our way out a lot of buses and companies arrived and I guess the Cave would be very full then. Only cost 4,5 TL, which is fair.

“Nice but not much to see”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Since there were lines of people waiting to enter the caves, we were expecting to see something great and huge inside.
First of all - pay in liras. It was 9 liras or 4 euros for 2 people which seemed quite unfair.
There is a narrow path that leads you in, then a staircase going down. Downstairs you get a plate with information about the place and many benches to sit down and "enjoy". After you've looked around and taken a couple of pictures there's nothing much left to do. And that takes max 10 minutes.
As we were leaving, 3 groups of tourists were waiting in line to enter. No idea how they'd fit but being so packed would probably be an even worse experience.

You can go there on a hot day on your way to the city centre but don't get your hopes up for something epic.

Damlatas caves is a nice place to visit when it's hot outside. Take the longer route and remember to change your sunglasses to regular glasses!

“Beautiful cave but small”
Reviewed 4 July 2014 via mobile

We visited this in June 2014 by buying a combined ticket for 10 lira that gained us entrance to the Tersane shipyard, the red tower and Damlatas Cave otherwise it's about 4 lira entrance into each place.

We got the no 4 bus from Alanya bus station to Damlatas Cave. It's situated by the stunning Cleopatra Beach.

You enter the cave and go down some stairs into the main cave. The cave itself is quite small but is also quite beautiful with it's stalagmites and stalactites. There is a smaller cave which you can only crouch in.

The air in the cave is supposed to help with respiratory problems if you breathe it in. The temperature is constant inside the cave around 22 degrees and it did feel wonderfully cool after the 40 degree heat outside.

Overall it was worth a visit because of our combined entrance ticket but might be a slight disappointment if you were to pay full price.
