I fell for the advertised very low nightly rate and booked this hotel online. In a very dark side street, a little scary when arriving after dark - and the hotel lobby is only minimally illuminated. The next morning I noted that the lobby area was in the process of renovation. Friendly young night porter let me in though, room- a very large apartment, quite impressive actually, but unfortunately many building problems, paint peeling off the walls, curtains hanging off the rods, no hot water that night. It was a rare very cold night, and the room was freezing. Air con costs 3 euro extra, but money well spent - or would have been if it had worked. But it took the aircon until the next morning to heat up the bedroom, and I paid for that with a lot of noise - and the aircon in the first room I was given did not work, so had to move, and the second one worked very intermittently only. The beds sported only one very thin cotton blanket - a joke really during the winter. The nice porter brought me a thicker cotton blanket - still this was definitely duvet weather! Night lamp next to my bed was giving light, but the ceramic base was broken into many pieces, which someone had assembled into a loose pile - WTF??? Rooms were clean, but in urgent need of renovation.
I moved out after this night.
