“Enjoyable and relaxing”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

We spent a week at Aydinbey in august of 2010 and it was a real pleasure. The hotel has a lot of space, there you can always find a place to hide from animation or be close to music and partying. The pools are hugeand clean. The room was cleaned daily, they even changed fresh water in minibar and made amusing figures from the towels on the bed. We liked to food however drinks were as bad as they are in all hotels of that standart in Turkey - juice from concentrate, local alcohol is trash IMHO. However beer and wine is always okey, and there was no shortage of fresh water. We are a young couple and felt really welcomed even though it is a standart family hotel with a lot of attractions for kids. Everyday animation was nice but repeatative, but we did not pay much attention and did not take part. If you want to enjoy city life you can always get a bus to Alanya - it is regular. Wish you a niceholiday there and highly recommend :))
PS if you are a woman ask for a female massageur at SPA

Located just outside, in a fairly quiet area. There's a lot of bars and two restaurants. Very clean swimming pools, one indoor pool. The hotel runs an interesting animation for children in English, Russian and Polish. Food very good and varied. To a private beach only 150 meters away. I recommend.

Room Tip: I recommend.

The food is below average, and most definitely not suitable for a 5 star hotel. There are only 6 main dishes, and they hardly change during the week. Same things for dinner and lunch. Most of the staff hardly understands english, most work very slowly or not at all unless you give tips.
We had a problem with getting the rooms we paid for, we paid for two rooms with two beds each, but they tried to put us in one room with 3 small beds, and attempted to add another.
The pools are below average as well and certainly not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel.
On the beach, the water is often dirty, plastic bags floating and other crap.

AVOID this hotel, if possible. 4 reasons:
1 - The stuff is not helpful at all, and don't understand english
2 - Rooms are clean, but they are not 5 stars.
3 - It's far from anywhere, taxis are very expensive, and beach is stony and dirty.
4 - Do not use massage service or don't go alone if you are woman. Massageurs (they are only men) may make an "extra service" to you without permission. Disgusting!

We travelled to this hotel as a family with 2 children aged 5 and 8. The hotel was clean, well maintained and run efficiently. It could have benefitted from air conditioning in the public areas but this was not a major problem. The pool area was super with 4 different pools. One of these had 2 slides which were fun for both kids and adults.

The beach was disappointing as I was expecting lovely sandy beach however if you wore footwear to get to the water once there the water was clear and clean.

Our room was 1 double bed, 2 single beds. (one of which was folding visitors bed) We had a balcony and on suite bathroom. Again the room was cleaned daily and was well maintianed.

The Staff were very helpful and although some struggled to understand English (most spoke German/Russian) they always made sure they tried to get someone to help.

The food was great. Breakfast had cereal, salad, cooked and a selection of breads with honey/jam. Lunch could either be burger and chips with salad beside the pool or in the restaurant with hot/cold main dishes e.g. chicken casserole, poached fish, meat balls are just a few and puddings (fantastic cakes) Dinner was in the restaurant with aselection of hot and cold mains and additionally a BBQ area outside e.g. Pizza, kebabs, stir fry etc.

I would highly recommend the Turkish Bath in the hotel. This was reasonably prices and was extremely relaxing with a fabulous massage to follow. The kids were given the turkish bath free and treated as special guests ( they loved it)

I would also recommend the Jeep safari tour. This was charge able but at 155 TL for 4 I felt this was great value for money. This tour involved being picked up be jeep taken up into the turkish mountains and visit a nomad home and sample the local break. We then stopped at a restaurant beside a river and were encouraged to bathe there. Be aware the water is extremely cold. The advert states off road driving and this is a slight exageration as this consisted of a number of short whirls around bumpy tracks through the woods however this was enough to give the kids some excitement but not enough to make them scared. Great day had by all.

Lastly I would say that if you are looking for somewhere that caters for the British e.g. british grub and english as the first language I wouldn't select this area try Bodrum or Gumbet.

By the end of the week I was getting a bit fed up with the lack of manners from other guests (Russian, Iranian and Turkish) e.g. not stepping aside to let you out of the lift, not saying please and thankyou at the bar and general decorum.

This hotel is ranked as a 5 star on the holiday sites however going by the British star rating i would say a definate 4 star but not exclusive enough to be a british 5 star.

We travelled into Alanya by bus(about 20 mins) and went to Cleopatra beach (more sand than gravel) good shopping but make sure you are well aware of how much you are paying.

The hotel is in very good condition, very clean, comfortable. It is not too big.The beach is in some 50 m. form hotel connected with an underground way.Food is nice and tasty. The only problem was that you cant find any food after 12:30 am.There is no 24 hour bar also.
The staff was very very helpful, especially waiters.( Ask for Ozcan...the best!!!)
The Spa is also not bad.
