The hotel is basic as is the food, however rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly so we enjoyed our stay and we are going again in a few weeks.
The best about this hotel is that it is just across the road from the best beach in Turkey, its close to shops and eating places and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll down to the harbour.
Its also adjacent to an amazing bar & restaurant that has great food, the guys on the bar are fantastic, really looked after us.

The hotel is just across from the Kleopatra beach..... Easy and reachable and about 10 minutes from the city center. Food is average but the helpings are more than adequate and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and the bathrooms in very good state. All hot water is produced by solar panels so don't expect a constant supply of hot water right through the day. But a lukewarm shower once a day is not the end of the world. Visiting Alanya in the winter might cause some aggravation with this system, but it is ubiquitous from the lowest to the highest starred hotels. Price and value were definitely in balance and we will most definitely visit this hotel again if future.

Room Tip: Try and have a Bar fridge installed as it helps to keep your water and other drinks cold. This comes...

We booked this two week holiday on a tight budget as we were desperate to get away . For a much needed break.
To be honest all we wanted and expected was a clean, comfortable, basic hotel to use as a base. We arrived 21st June 2013 and was very pleasently surprised.
Our room (509) was on the top floor where the restaurent is ,initially we wondered if this would be noisey but we neednt have worried, not a sound. We had a lovely room with a large bathroom and shower no shower curtain (which is a bonus). Towels and bedding changed every day if you wanted this and the room was kept immaculate by a lovely maid.
The food in the hotel was really good (we went bed and breakfast) as other reviewees have stated it does get boring after a week . Would have been nice if the chef had done pancakes instead of just omelets (only a suggestion)
The pool bar did lovely bar snacks very tasty food we ate out at night as the resort has a huge range of restaurents and bars. Loved the resort .
The only downside of this holiday and the reason why i only gave it 4 stars was the lack of sun beds around the pool.Plus by the afternoon a lot of the beds were in permanent shade The pool was small but so were all the others we saw in the area. The first week was great there was no fight for a bed but the second week what a difference everyone must have wanted to be by the pool 7.45am and all beds had towels on (we just went to the beach couldnt be bothered with the hassel) Annoying though when beds were taken but people didnt show untill midday.
We had a lovely holiday and the hotel was excellent value for money (free air con too). staff friendly and helpful . The beach asociated with our hotel was great and once again staff helpful sorting you out with beds and umbrellas.
All in all a great holiday .

Just returned from 2 weeks holiday, we booked Miray based on Trip Advisor reviews and was really impressed. Good value for money, rooms cleaned daily, location brilliant for beach, plenty of restaurants/shops on doorstep, close to taxi/bus stop - cheap to use! All staff friendly and made the experience nicer - special thanks to Ramazam and Nuri :-) Breakfast is typical Turkish, however had omlettes and boiled eggs for those who wanted something different, I felt it was excellent value and enough variation. Did not do half board as I like to vary the restaurants I eat in on an evening and there was plenty to choose from Viking bar, Green Beach - both excellent. Booked again today for next year 4 rooms for my family and I, thank you all at Miray!! See you in 2014 Anita & Shaun Utley.

Room Tip: Pool facing rooms at front of hotel get the sun later in the day, so nice when you return early even...

My daughter and I (58 and 30) have just returned from a week's stay at this delightful hotel, very central to the whole of Alanya. We went 6th-13th May from Manchester. Transfer time about 2 hours from Antalya Airport to Alanya. We had a good service from Mina Travel. This hotel is actually classed as an inn and was rated about 2nd best when we booked. On arrival very late at night, we were greeted by the night reception person with an efficient hand over of keys etc. New lift to our 3rd floor Family Room, no 312. Large balcony but not pleasant view really but we were not bothered as just a place to sleep/get changed etc. Free air conditioning to one bedroom only, which had small tv and bathroom. Just about 9 TV stations, mainly German and channel 6 BBC World news, Bathroom really nice with very good hairdryer. No bath, just efficient shower. I must praise the cleaners for routinely changing the towels and bed linen DAILY. Beds and pillows very comfy. Safe for extra cost in wardrobe. Restaurant up on the top floor (5th) with fabulous views across to the beach and sea. Sliding panoramic windows. We were on a bed and breakfast basis so cannot comment on the evening meals. Breakfast comprised of bread you cut yourself, various cold meats and cheeses, olives, yoghurts, jams, honey, etc. Various cereals and an Egg Chef who cooked your eggs as you wanted. Blackcurrant and orange juice, tea and coffee. There are so many places to eat out at lunch time/evening, its not worth considering eating there we thought.
In Reception area, there is a large plasma tv, board games and just one internet computer. I paid 2 Turkish Lira for 30 mins but forgot everything would be in Turkish and abandoned the exercise after discovering their letter 'i' is not the same as ours. There was a childrens room in the basement. The swimming pool is small but nice and clean to take a dip in to cool off. Free sun loungers and parasols and a little poolside bar selling drinks and ice creams. Covered eating area, where we ate just once. Chips were good. By the pool is a massage therapy place, very reasonable prices for feet/head massage/Turkish bath etc and also Dr. Fish for your feet.

It was a little too far for us to walk to the Eastern Beach but plenty of buses and taxis.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Miray Hotel. A gem of a hotel hidden amongst larger hotels on the beach road. Very clean and friendly. Our flight was with Thomas Cook and was booked through Direct Line Holidays.

The two main beaches in Alanya are naturally separated into an eastern and western beach by a 250 metre high outcrop of rock. For inexplicable reasons, the eastern beach has several names and is therefore just referred to as the Eastern Beach. The Western beach of Alanya is named after the Queen of Eygpt, Cleopatra. The Eastern Beach has a harbour and Bar Street which makes Ibiza look tame. We just went to the Cleopatra Beach daily, which is a very short walk from the Miray. It is best to pay for the hire of two sunbeds and a brolly from Reception. It is 10.50 Lira for the day. If you want to leave the sunbeds for a few hours, just leave towels on loungers. Each hotel has its own allocated section and the Miray's is No 10. It has a lovely Beach Bar for drinks, snacks and ice cream. You can order from your sunbed too. The sand on the beach was too hot for walking on so take your flip flops. I would not recommend this beach for any children under the age of say 10. The sand is finely crushed shells but quite soft . Once entering the sea, there is small section of sinking sand, then a sloping incline into the sea. You can actually walk quite a distance before it gets deep but there is a strong undercurrent from the breaking waves. The sea is very clean and clear. Lots of water sports - jet skis, banana boat, paragliding for 2, etc. Lots of passing 'pirate' ships on their way around the coast for a 5 hour cruise.
There are many eating places, all very similar. It is their aim to stop everyone passing to get you into their establishment. Very annoying at times as it made looking at the menu impossible. Only one place that boasted of no hassle was the 'Happy Viking'. The best meal we had was at the Big Horn Steak House by the beach. The steak is sirloin and just melts......adorned with béarnaise sauce on one side and another spicy sauce on the other. The other eating place that we enjoyed the food was at the 'Summer Loving'. I recommend the steak in Diane sauce, which came with rice, chips, potato wedges, jacket potatoes and vegetables. We also ate at the Bacus Bar further up the side road from the Happy Viking. Faultless service from the waiters who gathered at 9.30pm for some traditional Turkish dancing.
Just to mention that on returning to the airport, security is very tight. You go straight from the coach into Departures where drinks have to be abandoned and through strict security. Next is Passport Control then through to a very nice Departures lounge with many eating places. Very new and modern and was very impressed with this airport.

Room Tip: You can upgrade to a Family Room for an extra £55 (2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each) but air co...

We booked this holiday based on reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. It is excellent value for money, spotlessly clean and location very good just across the road from the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. I do agree breakfast was not the most exciting in the world but based on what we paid I think you can't complain.

Room Tip: Only rooms at the front of the hotel have good sea views

We were disappointed in our stay, the food at breakfast was boring with hard boiled eggs or an omlette the standard fare if you wanted anything other than cold meats or salads. Dinner was poor and also very boring and we would recommend that you eat out, the food at Grand Pearl Beach just down the road was excellent as was the food in Iskander fish restaurant at the harbour. Initially we were put in room 511 which was next to the kitchens and toilets, there was minimal information in this room and balcony is very overlooked. Unlike the room we were eventually moved to after complaining. The room staff were excellent however and although the towels were not changed daily they were whenever they started to look tired. The pool is next to the main road and small but clean. Do pay a little more for a better holiday.

Room Tip: Avoid room 511 aim for rooms at the East side at the back.
