my wife and i always knew it took about 3 hours to get to the hotel so we were prepared for this. Arriving at the hotel we were checked in without any problems and taken to our room by the porter but we could tell from reception english was very limited. The room was very much like the photo spacious, well decorated and very clean. The beach was directly across the road with a subway for safe crossing, sunbeds mats were extra but only 7 lira for 2 and sand was a bit coarse but we knew this also the hotel was full of russians and a few germans and this was becoming a problem for us as the hotel has information in place which the russians take no notice of (for example) towels not to be placed on sunbeds and left but if your not down by the pool by 07.45 at the latest u will not get one. we also like turkish food and there was plenty of choice but food was separated in two places which is not ideal when you want a hot meal. The russians have no consideration for anybody else and expect other people to get what they dont want with no manners at all. we liked the food but it does get a bit repetitive but a good choice.
On the whole a good holiday accomadation good, staff ok and if you ignore the russians your holidays will be good (if you speak fluent Russian) your laughing.
the main town is a short bus ride for 2 lira each but if you walk towards the town for about 4 blocks then turn right and walk a block up there is a good selection of shops and restaurants available, opposite artemis princess hotel is a bar called angel bar which has extremely good food and very pleasant staff well worth a visit. there is a super market at the back of hotel called migros. enjoy your holidays we did.

Room Tip: quiet at back noisy sea view

We stayed there for one week. We got to this hotel accidentaly, as the hotel Kleopatra Ada, which we booked, was oversold (overbooked) and they put us in hotel Saritas. We got small refund from travel agency.

Hotel Saritas is hotel of poor quality, we definitely weren´t satisfied with the beach next to this hotel. On the beach was rubbish, sea was really dirty. I would not call this "beach", rather "entry to the sea", because there were unfortunately also big rocks.

We decided to travel to the Kleopatra Beach with public bus, but the ride take about 40 minutes one-way. But even this was better than staying on the beach, where was hotel Saritas situated.

The pool was overcrowded, too many people, umbrellas just for few.

But I must say, that the hotel food was relatively good. Especially turkish food on AI was good level - tasty was almost everything. There was enough food for vegetarians, too.

Our room wasn´t clean, cleaning woman came every day to make our room look good, but she wasn´t accurate. Quite often was the floor dirty and with hair. We once found our stuff on a heap in the cupboard. This wasn't nice.

Technical equipment of our room was of average quality and quite old.. there was AC, telephone, fridge and TV.
On TV you could watch just BBC in English, SAT1 and ZDF in German, Euronews in French, 1 in Russian, TVP1 in Polish and some local tv channels..

Hotel was full of Russians or other eastern Europeans.. Sometimes you could found also some Germans or Czechs, I discussed our situation with them, they also weren´t satisfied.. Animation program took place every day. It was just for Russians, so in Russian language. But they were not rude.

Arrived at 04.00 in morning after 3 hour coach transfer. Headed into reception to be greater by the rudest pair of men iv ever met in my life. Got told hotel was full I cannot stay here and my agent hadn't payed them any money even tho I had a reservation?? The reception staff simply said "not hotel problem English problem u not stay here no room" they can't spk a word of English. Sent us to hotel next door and tried to make us pay 120 tl to which we point blanc refused. Finally they let us have a room about 05.30. Next morning woke and headed bk to saritas and said I want my room iv paid for, after hours of excuses and whispering frm staff they gave us a room. This situation happened to the only other English couple that were guests at the hotel. So ok we thought great it's sorted haha little did we know this was just the start of what was to come. Went for food after we were finally allowed to use all inclusive and oh my days iv never seen anything like it! The only way I could describe breakfast lunch and dinner was "feeding time at a local German zoo" rude Germans were everywhere you looked pushing shoving and barging there arrogant attitudes all over the place....and for what exactly? Well for food that looked like something my dog threw up, only enable thing was rice pasta and bread. We sufferd this for two days and then ate out every nite, istanball resterant is a 5 mins bus journey frm stop outside the hotel 1.50 tl on bus's so cheap cheap but best steak in whole of turkey. Three days into our holiday of enjoying everything that didn't included anything to do with saritas we were rudely called to reception by the manager. She told us our agent hadn't payed the hotel and we must pay 882 tl or checkout!!! She was acting very fishy and we knew this wasn't right. After hours of phone calls and constant lies from staff and manager we were made to pay the money from our own pocket because we would have been out on the street otherwise. More hours of lies and phone calls later the hotel finally let me get into contact with Turkish agent. Turkish agent could not believe I had had to pay and told me he has paid our Holliday and the hotel knew this. So all along saritas were trying to con us out of money. The agent came straight to the hotel and paid us our money bk because manager still refused us our money! Overall this hotel is the worst hotel on the face of the earth. Full of Germans hogging the pool no chance of sitting there only beach sunbeds available but that was fine as the beach is lovely, use the underpass to the left so you don't have to cross the busy road. Alanya is absolutely amazing and we will go bk next year, jus another hotel hah.
Met one other English couple the whole holiday of whitch this happend to as well ( hotel biast to English ) and we spent a lot of time at Viking bar down the road run by English and lovely.
Lee and Michelle all we can say is "s@@@@@@@e" lmao

Made a last minute booking via "On the Beach". After reading some of the reviews we were wondering what to expect, but taking into consideration what we paid, we were not disappointed at all. All the staff were very helpful & friendly even though some of them spoke very little English, but we were in Turkey, not Britain! As for the hotel not being very clean, our room was spotless & the maids came every day.The cakes in the afternoon were to die for. The food was certainly passable, could always find something to eat; again not English food, but if you want English food, stay in Britain! Yes, the hotel is full of Eastern Europeans, but if we had wanted the company of just other Brits we would have stayed in the UK! Regarding the drinks, we never had any problems getting served & it was nice that they were served in glasses as opposed to plastic beakers. In our experience, 4 star in Turkey is not the equivalent of UK 4 star, so please don't expect luxury if you're not paying luxury prices. Overall we had a very enjoyable time & would definitely go back there again.

Where to begin? We arrived at 4 o'clock in the morning. We were exhausted, tired, we could hardly wait in the room. But the room was not ready. After half an hour the room was finally ready. But when I entered the bathroom, I was shocked. Board of the toilet was still dirty.
Room had a sea view but we shared a terrace with 3 more neighbors (bedrooms). It was very small room, but modern (LCD TV, modern bathroom).
We had a disastrous experience with the maid. Although we left her huge tips every day, she complained to hotel manager because the towel one days falt on the floor of the bathroom. The hotel manager told us that we pay a penalty if it happens again. We were shocked.
Food was not bad but often repeated.
Although the hotel has 4 stars and all inclusive, beach chairs and umbrellas are not included. Generally, we recommend that you run from this hotel.

Hotel does not deserve 4 star, maybe 2 or 3, very cheap, it is not so clean, our towels was changed every two days, and one day cleaning woman took towels and didnt put the new one, and we must wait two more days to get another towel, despite our complaints on reception. Food is not so good, we stayed 7 days and every day is almoust same food prepared on different way, so we had to go to the center and eat there every day, ( big difference, there is food perfect).Wireless is possible only at the reception, pool is very small and very crowded from the earlier morning so it impossibel to find empty chair.Service on the beach that belongs to the hotel was terrible. Although we paid for chairs and umbrellas, a man who works at the beach again to come up to us to charge us again for the second or third time. The mattress that is placed on the deck chair is very dirty, and umbrella is very small, barely cover one person. Only good for us is that we only slept there despite that we had all inclusive service that we paid but didnt use

Room Tip: Better rooms are in the B or C block, on the higher floor.
