“Fairly comfortable for our last night”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

Shoved out in the annex again on our RSD holiday, we arrived fairly late having eaten at the Turkish party night, tired we had to drag our bags to another block and wait for the very slow lift that would only hold 3 people with a case. Comfortable room with balcony and the A/C worked - hooray. TV was very loud from one room but I slept through all the gun shooting outside and woke to the sound of police sirens and flashing lights at 0245, we had a good breakfast in another block at 3am and left at 4am so no chance to use the facilities.

Staff and owner very unhelpful. Little English spoken by staff. room not cleaned every day in fact we had to ask for it to be cleaned. sheets not changed until we took dirty sheet off and left on floor. Bathroom extremely small to use the toilet you have to sit with your feet in the shower tray. Shower tray cracked. Matress dips in the middle. noisy because it is on the flight path for the airport just behind the hotel. noisy main road also runs behind hotel. If you stay its best to have a room overlooking the pool it may be a bit quieter. breakfast same everyday. Good points always had hot water.

We went there, my fiance and I, on a last minute offer from Cluj Napoca, Romania. The price we paid was more than OK, given the fact that we bought the offer 5 days before the departure. We opted for an ALL INCLUSIVE vacation, but please be sure to check with your tour operator, because we had some disagreements.

The hotel's beach was at 4 km away - there was a beach 15 min away, but it was public, so we had no umbrellas. The hotel had a shuttle, but of course, you had to wrestle the other tourists to get into the car... it was quite unpleasant.

Anyhow, the hotel was supposed to be a 4star one, that wasn't quite true, it was more like... 2 and a half. The room was nice, we stayed in Building A and it was cleaned every day (but the maid had some trouble putting towels back - we had to call the reception and even go to them several times - because the maid forgot to put towels after cleaning the bathroom).
There was air conditioning, a TV, a small balcony and some closets, enough for our 7 nights stay. The elevator was a bit tricky, although it looked very new, it broke a couple of times.

The food was satisfying - as I heard, it's their first year with the ALL INCLUSIVE regime. I'm sure they'll do it better in the future. The breakfast was OK, several kinds of salads, olives, jams and boiled eggs and, occasionally, pancakes or croissants. The lunch was a bit poor, if you ask me - again, so many salads - but the meat was less than we've expected. The dinner was better, several kinds of meat and something cooked right in front of the guests / either fish in the oven, in a salt crust, or grilled chicken or pide (some kind of Turkish pizza), but it was very nice. Another thing that was disturbing was the fact that they had no problem with the bees circling around the dessert table. As you probably know, the Turkish desserts are very sweet, so they had a bit of a situation going on every time someone was there... I didn't like the fact that I had to fight insects to get to the food, so I eventually gave up on the desserts and stick with the fruits (fresh watermelon or melon or plums or grapes, served at lunch and dinner). Another thing about the meals was that they were served outside, in the area between Building A and Building C, so when we had windy days, it was quite a tricky thing to eat.

They had cookies served at 5 o'clock, 4 types daily, but every time there was such a wrestle to get to them that I finally quit. The beer and the wine was served at the bar, but the juices were on a self-service counter.

Anyhow, there was a great thing about this hotel - the amazing swimming pool. It was cool and big and it had a water slide - it was a treat to swim in its clean water. The wifi was OK too, we stayed on the 5th floor and had decent signal. During our stay there we had a very relaxing sleep, since we had no neighbors - but our friends from the B Building complained about their loud and creepy neighbors - and that made us feel quite lucky.

Also, if you think you're lucky it's only 10 km away from the airport - guess again! We could see airplanes taking off and landing every 5 minutes, from sunrise to sundown... quite noisy, but luckily the nights were quiet.

Room Tip: I honestly advice you to choose, if possible, A Building - it's quieter.

Ok our honest review is you probably will be the only English in the hotel, there's lots of other nationalities including groups of Turkish men travelling alone, and as soon as you get around the pool they start to stare at you & your kids weather they boys or girls no matter what the age is, will pester to find out where your from.. strange my other half had to shout at some guys leering at our girls made for a very uncomfortable experience, not very family friendly if you ask me, we arrived late so missed tea the first night they gave us 2 rooms in separate blocks said would have rooms together the next day at 12, went to reception at 12 were told to come back at 1 after lugging the bags back to and from the room, were told not ready ended up waiting until after 2pm before finally settling into a room, reception staff not very good with their English so really hard to understand each other, also 2 or 3 times a week the local kids will come for there swimming lessons and take over the whole pool, no room for guests swimming when they arrive:-( also there are not enough sun loungers around the pool area to accommodate the guests staying there. The beach is a long way from the hotel yes there is a bus & takes you to a beach where the sunbeds are free(no all inclusive food or drinks) but they make you stand around waiting for them to sit you on beds you don't want instead of just letting you find your own sunbeds!! Be prepared to have to wait for second lift as the foreigners will push in front of you, we were told not to be English, and after a couple of days we were so not English..rooms ok, food ok (be prepared to only eat small amounts as it is really hard to find things you like) its also quite cold as the restaurant is outside, all inclusive drinks were coke, orange, sprite, vodka, gin, raki, white wine red wine, tea coffee water and sum juice stuff not even a cocktail which you expect from all inclusive also a couple of times the bar staff left you waiting while they did what they were doing, instead of just serving you, not the best of service I think & was 10am-10pm that's it, oh and cakes (biscuits or left over food from lunch lol) come out in the afternoon around 4-5pm but be quick as they go fast... which is not like any all/inclusive I've ever been too...there is no day or night entertainment had a couple of acts and we were there 10 days, the hotel manager did buy us a cocktail, and promised to take us to Antalya old town, and never delivered and stayed away for the next couple of days (had his family out that night & we think it was all for show) restaurant staff excellent were very accommodating all really pleasant and helpful, had a late flight asked about having a shower before leaving said could use the sauna, upon arriving at the sauna no water went to reception, were told to shower around the pool (which was open and had no cover and no way was I going to shower in freezing cold water in front of everyone), we were not prepared to do this so upon complaining againnnn, they gave us a room which had been used and hadn't been cleaned :-( We had to rant in reception for everything, just not acceptable for guests to have to complain and moan to get everything, would not go back here not even if it was free was our first experience of Turkey and was not a good one, we have been told to go the other side Marmaris Dalaman airport side, we may try that after we get over this holiday.. the 1 good point is the safe was 50tl but got it back upon taking the key back now that was good made me happy:-) first smile of the review lol!! The weather was fantastic, the pool area is not bad as it has a slide(which was real fun & the only entertaining thing about the hotel lol) we did make the best of a bad situation and try to ignore the bad points but just had to try not to think about the men and other bad stuff that happened while we were there!!!

Room Tip: Block A appears to be the best !!! The onsite shop is reasonably priced and ice lollies start from 1...

We had a great time in this all inclusive hotel,
food and rooms where more than OK,
but the most important was the staff...

Their English was not always perfect but even
than they were very friendly and helpful...

Ayden, from reception was TOP in any way...
He did his job with joy and helped everyone...
No matter the age or nationality...
Any language tourists speak, he could help them
with pleasure... No matter when he was working or
during his free time... A terrific receptionist with the
heart at the right place... This entire package is the
trigger to get back to Lara Hadrianus...

Room Tip: Fitness center was missing :-(

We travelled in a group with representatives of 3 generations. We chose this hotel for the second time in a row. We had a lovely stay. The meal was good, very decent breakfasts, a good range of salads and soups, and desserts were just phenomenal. Room cleaning was in order. The pool was ok, staff was very helpful and friendly. The territory was clean and tidy. A timely bus to the Dido beach. Nice relaxing hamam, sauna, and massage in the basement. A large projector-tv in the bar area. All inclusive includes most drinks from the bar.

There are a few minor issues. For instance, you have to ask reception at least 3 times to turn on the sliding mountain as if there were a person who manually pumps the water. The meal range could benefit from a larger variety of meat, after a week you can start crowing. Organisational issues can be improved, for instance you can ask reception for a taxi and no one would come. You must remind them. The hotel was fully booked (end of May) but there were no declared ping-pong or billiard tables, leave along soccer fields or animation programs.

All in all, we would definitely come here again.
