Arrived home yesterday from a very relaxing holiday at Delphin Diva. I'll start with the negatives as they are few, if you are flying home late, argue for a late check out that morning. If the hotel has space the general time is 3pm. We were not leaving the hotel until 10:30 that evening and with 3 kids, we wanted to maximise our last day as we didn't check in till 1am the morning we arrived. We eventually got the room until 5pm but that was only be ause we got management involved.
The pools are breath takingly cold, especially the kids slide pool, they should consider heating them at this time of year. My youngest refused to go swimming so had to take her to the indoor pool. Not a negative for me or my family as we love cats but if you or your kids are not a fan i wouldn't recommend this hotel, they tend to hang around in the outside restaurants looking for cuddles and food.
Positives- we had a duplex room on the top 2 floors overlooking the Delphin Imperial. Great sized room with a bathroom, single bed, double bed and balcony, upstairs had a double bed and shower room with a balcony. 2 huge wardrobes and a tv on both floors with 2 mini fridges stocked up daily. Cleaned very well each day. The music from the imperial can be heard until 11:30 at night but this never bothered us.
Spa - try the Turkish bath, I paid for myself, hubby and eldest and the younger 2 were free, the best scrub down and massage I've ever had, wonderful.
Pools - 1 main large pool where the roller bladder drinks guys hang out. We didn't use this pool. An older kids and adult slide pool (the yellow one is great fun), very cold but quiet and a nice sunny place to relax. There's a quiet pol next to this which seemed mainly to be adults. The kids slide pool is great as it's next to the playground which had a toddler pool and lead into the kids club where there is a small play area and drinks and cakes available for the children. Again this pool is COLD!! There are some lovely day beds here as well.
Food - great outdoor cooking area in the main restaurant with pasta, grilled fish, lamb etc. the jacket potatoes were gorgeous. I missed breakfast but hubby and the kids went and had fresh omelettes cooked for them each morning. Lovely Kebabs for lunch near the pool bar, ice creams, Turkish bread (yum), frankfurter hotdogs etc. or try LeKebab which did burgers, pizzas, chips, salads and pasta dishes.
Beach - very large beach area although the sunbeds are set back far from the sea so we just took our towels down closer to the water so we could watch the kids.
Entertainment - brilliant shows at night in the ampitheatre. Mini disco on stage at 8:15 every night which my kids loved with Izzy (kids club lady). I can't remember the hosts name of the nightly show but he was fab with everyone from all countries and all ages. The only show which was a little disappointing was the Turkish night, the belly dancer saved that show.
I wouldn't return to a hotel normally but I will with delphin diva. They made my family very welcome. Yes it was predominately German guests but on the whole they were pleasant although their children were rude, the adults were fine, there was no cutting in queues. Lovely complex with lovely staff, everyone had a smile and we met some wonderful British families x

This is a great hotel and resort for families with kids. It is advertised as 5 star quality, but we found the food - certainly the a la carte restaurants - to be poor quality. The buffets are a better choice. Overall good quality facilities, but the all-inclusive concept has lead the hotel to definitely cut corners on the quality one would expect from a 5-star hotel.

We stayed in Delphin Diva in mid August for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because one of our kid (7yrs old) was free of charge if stayed in existing bed, and we ended up in a very tiny twin room with one extra sofa-bed like couch beside the window which made our room exceptionally tiny.

Our kids really loved the two big water slides outdoor, spent whole day just sliding down and climbing up the stairs, and in the evening kids enjoyed free popcorn and cotton candy at the side of small amusement park.

But then again, this small amusement park rides were all 70s to 80s that made me recall a movie "BIG" played by Tom Hanks.
It's old and rusty, some of the safety bars didn't work properly that all your safety totally depends on your decision where to sit on.(I'm talking about the vikings ride that swings up and down almost 180 degrees)

Their shows were nothing like the Las Vegas type of bang and flash, nor Bolshoi Theatre Ballet type of classy and spectacular thing, so don't expect too much of it. It's free of charge, after all.

The foods at the common restaurants had quite a few choices that you won't get bored for 2days, but again, when we tried the Sushi restaurant where you need prior reservation, it was almost an insult to a Sushi chef in the world. You can't cook Sushi rice like cooking porridge. The hotel chef should be sent to Japan to learn how to cook proper rice. Chinese restaurant was still edible, compare to the atrocious sushi restaurant.

Hotel's shuttle bus service to Antalya city centre was nice, no services on Sundays so better plan a visit during weekdays.

For what we paid for, Delphin Diva didn't meet our expectations in full, however, our kids just loved the idea of all-free all-inclusive, amusement hotel with huge slides and beach next to it.

If I have a chance to visit Antalya without children, I might opt for a small hotel with more characters within the old city instead of stereotypical All-inclusive family hotel beside the beach.

We stayed at the Delphin Diva for one week at the end of September. Like others we booked because it's number 2 on trip advisor and reviews are fabulous .

We emailed the hotel before we arrived and requested a high view room , we also told them we were holidaying to celebrate getting engaged . We arrived at midnight and reception quickly checked us in , we were given a 3rd floor room but no free cocktail. The room was well appointed but unfortunately stank of cigarettes , not ideal and not something us Brits are used too . The bathroom is also very old fashioned with a shower over a high bath step and a full shower screen . I had a bath once and felt very enclosed, the sills were also not very clean . Also the beds in our room were extremely hard , I can sleep on anything but every morning woke up with a sore back ( I'm 25!). Our room looked out to a patch of grass wasteland next to the hotel and there was a pack of around a dozen stray dogs which kept us awake by barking almost every night. Lara beach itself is also rather rundown , shop owners get grumpy if you try to haggle and offers very little to do outside the hotel.

The service in the ala carte restaurants is very good , we tried Mexican , Japanese , Turkish and Italian. The food was far superior to the main buffet restaurant . As others have said the main buffet had a huge amount of choice , but much of it was repetitive ,a lot of it was poor quality and lukewarm. On one occasion we sat by the pool and were given a coffee by a man with a trolley , very nice . But we took a sip and had to spit it into the flower bed , the milk was curdled and floating in the coffee in large chunks. Disgusting.

The queues for freshly cooked food was always long , especially the omelettes at breakfast. The restaurant that is open late next to the pool serves left overs from the main restaurant and it is genuinely awful.

Something that urgently needs to be improved is the English translations on these menus , they are sloppily misspelt or there is no translation at all. The English translation on the computer screens in the lift is also poor , we noticed that the weekly entertainment programme contained two Tuesdays and was not corrected all week ! Also the hotel has a number of German/ Russian guests and you cannot buy English magazines in the shop. The only option was the Sun.

Despite all this we really impressed by the bar staff around the pools , especially the roller skate lady. The pier bar is also fantastic and the grounds are kept immaculately with hammocks and beach cabins. The saunas and steam room are lovely . We visited the imperial and palace and thoroughly enjoyed the slides and bars.

The Delphin Diva is a good choice but we would not return as felt the food was poor and the rooms old fashioned , the area surrounding the hotel is also a little undesirable .We previously stayed at the crystal sunrise and will return there in future.
