We stayed here for two weeks 29th-12th April. Check in quick and easy and cases handled by porters. Room was lovely, side sea view, single and queen sized beds with a sofa. Mini bar well stocked which was refilled daily. Tea and coffee making facilities too.Towels changed daily and room cleaned daily. This hotel is spotless. Pool areas are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Spa, which we didn't use but had a nosey around looked lovely and they were offering 2 for 1 deals on treatments. Food at breakfast was good, plenty of choice with freshly squeezed oj and eggs lots of ways. Lunch could be eaten in main restaurant or outside. We much preferred eating outside as quality and temperature of food much better. Evening meals are just ok, wee bit bland and whilst I appreciate they are cooking for lots of nationality's and a huge amount of people it is billed as 5 star hotel and they are letting themselves down here. Mainly on the main courses as salad and soups are excellent. The three a la carte restaurants were delivering very good quality food and were usually empty.....why, I don't know as food much better than in main restaurant. Entertainment was ok, made enjoyable by the guys who work in the hotel, difficulty remembering their names but really feel they deserve a mention as they were wonderful with adults and children alike. Baruk ,Mahmut and Irfan well done guys. Couple of bars to choose from, the 24hr bar was beautiful to sit in and very relaxing with great cocktails. Was a bowling alley beside this bar but we didn't use it as found it a little expensive. Small arcade area which my children loved aged 7 & 10 yrs. Not too expensive to play games and kept them amused in evening before entertainment team were around.
Finally the only thing that let the hotel down big style for our family was the kids club. In all honesty we booked the hotel on its reviews and the fact it had a kids club. The club only really supports the under 5's and does not cater at all to the 6 and upwards range. So if you have older children and are looking for a hotel with great kids club facilities then im afraid its not the Baia Lara you want.
I think this is ultimately a beautiful hotel and caters well to the masses.
Sadly, we didn't do our research properly as only realised after we arrived there is nothing to do outside the hotel. Strip of land with 5 star hotels on it and very little else around. We took the local bus to visit Kaleci in Antalya which was gorgeous and well worth the hour on a bus. Our weather was fabulous and this hotel is well worth a visit.
