My family and I stayed at hotel Baia Lara for 11 nights and we loved every minute we stayed there. To start with, this hotel must be one of the cleanest hotels I have seen, staff are extremely nice and welcoming. We had a wonderful time during our stay , swimming pools are so clean and the service from the Pool Bar, White bar and the bar on the pier is first class.

We had such a great time specially with entertainment team, Zafer, Mahmut, Irfan, Cem and many more, barmens Vulkan, Halil...... Bar staff Selda, Omur, Sahin and many more I
Can't remember all the names.

The food was first class, champagne, fresh juice , bakllava, pizza, dolma ...... Everything was fresh and delicious. Food and Bar manager was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We would 100% recommend this hotel, pools, beach, everything was perfect.

We also had 2 hour Hamam (Turkish bath) and full body massage which was beautiful.

Well done Baia Lara team. *****

Greeting from Gazi, Teuta, Eda and Leart.

Stayed for 2 weeks in May (16th-31st), first impressions lovely hotel very clean.
We are a family of four (2 young children aged 4/7) and really couldn't wait to get there :) for a break!!!!! Arrived at hotel at 2am with a warm welcome and went to our room to sleep, on first impressions the room was spacious for us with a large double bed and two single beds for the children. We had a view of the front of the hotel even though we requested a sea view but couldn't be bothered to cause a fuss as we only use it to sleep in! Facilities in the room we very good mini bar, satellite tv etc,,,, but the major floor was the wardrobe space was terrible we had to live out of the suitcases for 2 weeks as the space was no where near enough for a family.
So we went to the restaurant for breakfast which was amazing the food choice was fantastic and spoilt for choice. Really clean and fresh so first impressions spot on, after changing we went to the pool and a look around the hotel grounds and beach. This also was stunning fantastic pool and beautiful well kept gardens / grounds.

Good points:
Restaurants (main) excellent choice ( we have fussy kids!!)
Poolside bar - lovely staff here, great service.
Speciality restaurants ( Italian / Mexican) fantastic service!!!
Entertainment team (poolside) were fab these guys worked so hard with getting people upbeat and joining into the daytime activities they made an effort to speak to everyone (apart from the ignorant usual nationalities ....... Just plain rude!)
Beach was nice but not like as good as I expected (being fussy a bit here) but the pontoons were fab with a bar in the middle and sun loungers!!
Water sports - nice guys but you need to haggle!!!!! We got para sailing for 50 euros, but if you do a few things they will give you a deal.
Sun loungers were comfortable mad plenty of them ( but beware you need to get out to reserve them by 8:30 or you will struggle to get a nice spot) plenty of shaded areas also if you don't like to sunbathe)

Bad points:
-Useless Thompson rep at hotel didn't have a clue( read more to see why)
-50% of staff rude and not customer friendly lobby bar leading to pool area was the main one, bar man was a complete knob with attitude he should be cleaning the toilets and not serving customers!
- wardrobe space!!! Rubbish
- pool was one depth no shallow points for the kids - depth was 4ft 7
- SLIDES these were horrendously dangerous I complained to the rep that the spiral stairs to reach the top had a 12" gap on each step that an kid can slip and fall through it was apparent to the hotel as they had chicken wire around the gaps but this disappeared the higher you went up the stairs!!!!!!!!!!! Rep was told and nothing done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-kids club DONT USE THEM !!!!!! They left our 7 year old daughter on her own with no supervision and no security in or out whilst they did a walk around the complex whys even more shocking our 4 yr old went on the walk and was left at the back of the trail of kids on his own walking around the pool area!!!! He could have fallen in and drown and they would have not known a thing, we noticed this as we could not see our daughter with all the children! Hence why we ran to the kids club to find her on her own!!!!!!!! I stopped the kids club reps to tell them off about leaving our daughter and son and told them to look after them. To my amazement they took our kids around the pontoon over the sea with no safety for them I immediately took our kids back from them and never went back! Health and safety don't exist in this hotel.
- beach bar in the evening prepare entertainment which can be good but on certain nights they have dancers in that dance in thongs on the bar etc which I think is inappropriate for a family hotel.

Overall -
We had a great time and like every holiday you make it your own, the hotel is great and foods spot on, if they can get the above bad points sorted its a 5/5 for me.
My review is honest as I can be please make your own choice / opinion, we've been to some amazing places worldwide and think we can give you a valuable review.
We would return to hotel so it's a good indication of what we thought of this hotel, like every hotel if you, look for things to moan about you'll find them. We felt the safety points above needed address and pointing out as they are a real concern for us and I'm sure for other families like us.

Regards

Second time to Lara Beach resort but first time to Baia Lara, Just one word EXCELLENT the best family holiday we have had and I am in the process of booking for next year.
The food was excellent with plenty of choice and variety. The staff are very friendly and always willingly to help and assist. Must say a big thank you to the entertainments team especially Mahmut and Burak who were excellent and always had time to stop an talk. The A La Ca-rte restaurants offer excellent food especially the Mexican, and the service that Bayram provided was great. In the main restaurant the service was also very good and although very busy I can not fault it - big thanks to Abdullah the waiter who was excellent and kept the drinks flowing.
Overall an excellent holiday at this resort and I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.
See you next year !!

Room Tip: Sea views are worth the extra cost

Still here having a wonderful time. I would like to give those with kids a bit more info really. We are here with our son and daughter 3.5 and 4.5 and they have had the best time ever.
The kids club is fantastic the staff are lovely and always happy and helpful. At 10.30 they do an activity- craft, banana boat rides Indian day pirate day etc then at 2.30 another- making pizzas/ cookies, party day etc. the club inside is clean and has a baby room, another room and toilets with a baby change. The baby room has cot beds in. They open 10am then shut (except for toilets) 12.30- 2.30,then stay open til 5.30. The equipment is all relatively new and there's also a fridge with cartons of fruit juice, flavoured milk, water, baby food jars, yoghurt etc.
These fridges are in the dining hall and food stations and have milk too. There's a microwave and steriliser by kids buffet area in main restaurant. In the evening the kids entertainers sit at kids buffet table if your kids want to sit with them. There's tables for you right by there too. Then they go kids disco at 8.30pm outside to amphitheater and they love it. My son played footy 4pm with big boys and there is plenty of pool games/ activities to keep them amused.
The kids club area is fenced off. The pool is in the shade and very shallow. There is a small play area there too and play equipment all around the grass. So it's a safe area they can run around where you can relax on the loungers too. There are small kids sun loungers too. One day it's inflatables day and they put up a good bouncy assault course for kids on the grass.
The beach has loads of buckets and spades in sheltered area so don't bother bringing your own. Most people pass on lilos, footys etc so wait a day or two before buying.
The a la carte restaurants are lovely just nice change from main buffet which can be hectic. The hotel is perfect for those with families I will definitely recommend to my friends with kids. Perfect family holiday our 2 weeks is nearly up and we all don't want to leave!
