“Great holiday”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

We stayed as a family of four, 2 adults and 2 teenage girls in August 2014 for 11 nights. Booked with Thomson. Check in and flight all ok.

Arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning and the check in was swift and easy, so no complaints. Impressed to be informed that the hotel had a no sun bed towel blocking rule, so no need to get up early. It also had a dress code for the restaurant. More of these later.

Room of a good size with a king size bed, single bed and a couch type bed for the youngest girl. Room clean and kept clean with good housekeeping. Bathroom fine.

Thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, main restaurant of typical Mediterranean fayre with multiple food stations for all types of dishes. There were theme nights, which seemed to work well. Overall the food was good although there is tendency that the main courses all start to look similar. But this is a personal choice issue. We tried the A La Carte Italian restaurant on two occasions. The first was to celebrate the eldest daughter getting her GCSE results and guest relations had been made aware of this special day and the table in the restaurant was specially dressed and we received a bottle of wine with fruit in the room – so thank you. We didnt try the other two restaurants so cant comment.

Now sun beds and dress code. Firstly after drifting out after breakfast on the first day it was clear that this rule was not enforced, or if it was I am not sure from what time. That said there are plenty of sun beds to go round, but if you want one around the pools then get up early. My wife did the 7.00am trip and this seemed to be the latest you would want to leave it. After seeing men in shorts and flip flops in the restaurant in the evening, it was clear this rule isn’t enforced either. Again not a problem, but I don’t see much point in communicating rules if they are not going to be enforced.

Pools were clean and great and made a refreshing change to cool down in the typical Turkish sun. The occasional trolleys coming around the pool were good with fruit and sweetcorn. Have been to other places where a water trolley comes round and this would be a nice touch also for the hotel to consider in the future.

In the lift the hotel management had a breakdown of nationalities in the hotel and it showed about 30% British. We prefer hotels that are not dominated by British tourists, so it was a good mix.

Bars were good, especially the white bar and main lobby bar. A little politeness and a smile seemed to go a long way and we didn’t suffer any delays and after a couple of nights the staff knew the usual drink and a nod from a distance would result in a fresh drink arriving – so well done guys and girls.

Had a beach lodge on our last full day and that was fun and the service from Shamus was excellent.

Our kids are too old for the ‘kiddie disco’ but we had a look at the amphitheatre and it seems popular. The theme nights in the beach bar were also good, but perhaps I am getting a bit old, but I would have liked them to start a bit earlier.

The guest relations people were very helpful and the Thomson rep Hannah was good.
As a footnote we needed a good holiday to prepare us for the hell that is Antalya airport in the heat of the afternoon. The management of this place need to take a long hard look at how they resource the passport check booths as it is totally inadequate – so be prepared for some frustration here.

Overall a great holiday which the whole family enjoyed and we have already booked to return in 2015.

Stayed here in mid Aug, when resort was packed. Fortunately the hotel/resorts isn't as gigantic as some of the surrounding ones. Can't understand some negative comments about the quality of the food, those reviewers must have a great cook and butler at their mansion back home...
At breakfast and dinner there is a large fresh variety, from healthy to less healty. Pasta are freshly made at dinner, excellent choice.
Several pools, with plenty of beds,so doesnt give a crowded feeling. Lunch is possible at one of the outdoor restaurants, again plenty variety. Slides were a bit of a disappointment,as there were only 3 slides, while it looked on the site that there was a genuine aquapark. Anyway, one of the few minor details. Other one is that our balcony door didnt properly close, which caused some noise from the late night parties from the adjacent hotels to enter the room. Didnt sleep great therefor, very hard pillows not helping either.
Minibar at room well stuffed and re-stocked every day. Shower gel, shampoo also stocked on daily basis. Guest Relations is very attentive and helpful: my wife had a minor accident with her bikini on one of the slides, which caused a rip in her bikini pants. Well handled my Guest Relations team, great service.
For those not eager to stay at the pools, you can have your sunlounger on the beach or pier as well. Pier also has a bar, so very convenient. Animation team making a great effort with various sports, and entertaining the kids. My son had a blast with several rides on the banana boat. Would return next year, highly recommended.

Me, my husband & our two children aged 10 & 14 stayed at this lovely place in August. I can't really fault the place, our room was beautifully clean thanks to the ladies that cleaned 3107 and when our air con broke down it was mended the same morning. It had an ample sea view, plus a view of the next door hotel, which was sometimes a bit noisy!!! Tho no complaints we are all on holiday!!
The food at all meal times was outstanding, almost everything you could fancy!! Fish, meat, salads, potato dishes were excellent, although the waiter service was mostly good, we felt it wasn't as friendly as it could be because it was closely scrutinised by the people in charge! The pool areas were lovely, clean & well managed, my trip at 6am every morning to bag a sun bed got a bit tiring, but it was worth it because some days it was 40+ degrees so shade was necessary!! The jetty was awesome, best place to catch those much needed sea breezes, the chap behind the bar made it more comical!!!
Overall the place is great....I understand the management need to keep a tight ship, but having a waiter snatch yr plate away from you before you've finished because the boss is watching is wrong!! Loosen up because your customers are on their well earned holiday!!

We stayed here for 2 wks from 8-22 of August. After spending the last 5 yrs going Egypt we fancied a nice beach for a change.
Hotel itself has everything you could want during your stay. The entertainment team were great and there was always something going on of an evening at the beach bar. Normally a nice live band you can listen to whilst chilling out having a drink. Lunchtime food at the beach bar and white bar was of a good standard and great selection. Beach was nice and always beds free regardless of the time.
On to the negatives. Food of an evening in the buffet restaurant was poor. Plenty of choice but all tasted the same- which was of nothing. You know the foods bad when there is a 20 min wait to get pasta cooked. A lit of people we spoke to all agred that food was poor and like us all either skipped dinner or just had soup. The bar/waiter service in all bars except the beach bar was non existent. Not really the hotels fault but any chance a member of staff could smile or at least look like they are interested in working there.?!? I mean anyone would think it was slave labour with some if the faces in people.
All in all nice hotel but 3.5 star at best and 2 stars for food. Go elsewhere if you like to enjoy your food.

Stayed at this hotel from the 1st August to 15th August 2014. Booked this holiday through First Choice.

We were allocated Room 2111 / 2109, which was overlooking another hotel, with a partial sea view. The room was adequate. We didn't encounter any problems with the air conditioning as suggested by previous guest reviews.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the hotel as they work extremely hard and always with a smile. But the following staff surely made our holiday a memorable one. Thank you to Fulya, Hussayin, Ali, Mehmet, Yasmin and Yusuf. Not forgetting the staff at the A La Carte restaurants, Adem, Ensaar, Ibrahim and Beyram and thank you to Hannah, the Thomson rep, who ensured that we didn't have any issues at the hotel. Also, a special mention for Yasemin, the Guest Relations Manager. She went all out to ensure that we had a great holiday.

We recommend the hotel to put clocks in the rooms, as we found it difficult to see the time at night.

Finally, we highly recommend this hotel and you won't be disappointed :)

We stayed at this hotel, with our three children, aged 17, 15 and 11 from the 1st August to 15th August 2014. We booked this holiday through First Choice / Thomson. Check in was quick and efficient. The hotel is around six years old and located on Lara beach.

We were allocated Room 6314, which was overlooking the sea, the view was breathtaking. The room was spacious and adequate. This hotel is beautifully built and we found the staff very sociable and hospitable. We strongly recommend sea view rooms, as the view is worth every penny.

We would also like to point out from comments made by previous guests about the air conditioning not working properly, we did not experience any problems in our room.

The hotel has many swimming pools, and in order to secure your sun lounger, you will need to get up early to secure your spot ! However, the hotel does have a rule that towels left on the sun lounger before 7 am will be removed. Sun loungers on the beach were always available.

We highly recommend the SPA. The area is very clean and beautifully set, but try and negotiate prices as they will offer you discounts. If you decide to do any massages, request that Ariska does the massage, as she is quite good at it.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the hotel as they work extremely hard with a smile on their faces, but we would like to thank the following staff who made our holiday a very memorable one.

BAIA RESTAURANT / BRASSERIE
Fulya - What an amazing person. She was the first person we met at the Brasserie after we checked in for a late snack. Always a smile on her face and always took time to speak to us. We understand that she will go back to complete her studies but urge the hotel to offer her a position as she will be an asset to whoever employs her in the future.

Yasmin - She used to wait on us during breakfast and lunch at the Baia Restaurant. Always took time to speak to us. We are confident that she will be an asset to the hotel.

Hussayn, Ali, Yusuf & Mehmet always helpful. All these staff were very accommodating and helpful and the service they provided was excellent.

A LA CARTE
We experienced all three A La Carte restaurants - Italian, Mexican and Turkish. We enjoyed the Mexican the most. We wish to thank Beyram, Adem, Ensaar and Ibrahim. They made us very welcome and treated us like V.I.P's.

Thank you again to all the staff mentioned above and keep up the good work. Apologies to anyone we missed out.

We would also like to thank Hannah, who represents Thomson at the hotel. We found her to be very polite and helpful and always took time to speak to us to ensure that we did not have issues. Keep up the good work.

A special mention for Yasemin (Guest Relations Manager). Her name was mentioned by previous guests on Tripadvisor and we made it our objective to meet her during our stay. She is one of the kindest, most helpful person we have come across. She went out of her way to make our stay the most pleasant one. Although this time of the year is the most busiest period for the hotel, she always took time to come and talk to us and greeted us with a smile. Yasemin works extremely hard and is an asset to the hotel. We thank her for arranging a surprise anniversary cake and a fruit bowl, which she arranged with our daughter.

EXCURSIONS
We didn't do any excursions through the hotel, therefore unable to comment, but however, we opted to do all our excursions privately. The company we chose is called 'Waybe Company' which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel security gate, situated on the left hand side, near the small shopping centre not far away from the hotel. The Director is Emin Sarial, but we called him Muhammed. We chose to do Turkish Hamam, Fishing, Quad Biking and Jeep Safari. We would have liked to do more excursions, but due to lack of time, were unable to do so. We thoroughly enjoyed our excursions and we found this company to be professional, trustworthy and the prices charged were very reasonable. Please feel free to mention my name when contacting this company.

Finally, we highly recommend this hotel, so those of you thinking about this hotel, don't think, just go for it, you won't be disappointed! :)

Room Tip: We highly recommend the sea view room :)

Second visit and loved it again. The hotel was spotless in all areas and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of choice food wise, pizza, Turkish treats and fab omelettes at breakfast, 24 hours if you want something . We found the quite area for the adults in the restaurant which was great. Staff throughout the day brought treats to the poolside and the children loved the free lollies. Entertainment team worked really hard and we're happy to leave you alone if you wanted to chill. We are considering returning 2015, the only downside could be the aqua park being built next door, we will check the reviews to see if this negatively impacts onto the hotel.
